The conductivity measurement has been used to determine the first and second CMC's (CMC1 and CMC2) of alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride (CnBCl; n = 12, 14 and 16) as well as gemini surfactant trimethylene-1,2-bis-(dodecyldimethylammonium bromide) (12-2-12) with sodium dodecylbenzenesulphonate (SDBS) in aqueous solutions using Rubingh's the regular theory approximation as well as the dissociated Margules Model. The use of Margules model allows us to calculate activity coefficients of the constituents and hence provides better values of micellar parameters for asymmetric mixed systems as compared to the regular solution theory. The CMC1 values for CnBCl/SDBS mixtures were seen to be lower than those predicted from their ideal mixtures suggesting synergistic interactions although the synergism increases with chain length (n) of the cationic surfactant. Both CMC1 and CMC2 experience a decrease with rising values of n. The addition of salts including NaCl, KCl, NaBr, Na3PO4, and Na2SO4 in mixtures of C16BCl and SDBS suggests that salt counterions have a considerable impact on CMC1 when either surfactant is in excess. Zeta potential (ζ) measurements provide more evidence in favor of these observations. The thermodynamic features of micellization have also been scrutinized using isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC).  相似文献

A synthesis method to design a defected ground structures (DGS)-based Bessel low-pass filter (LPF) using a triangular and an open-square (OS)-type DGS is reported. For the five-pole Bessel LPF at fc = 2.5 GHz, we get 10.6 dB/GHz selectivity using the triangular DGS; while the OS-type DGS provides 39 dB/GHz selectivity. For these two filters, the 10 dB impedance matching BW is 76% and 84%, respectively. It is a much wider BW that is obtained for a lumped element Bessel LPF. The maximum group delay (GD) variation within the pass band is 25pS and 28pS, respectively. The 20 dB rejection BW can be increased from 5.8 GHz to 18.8 GHz with increase in the order of filter from 5 to 11. We have also presented the design of a compact five-pole DGS-based elliptic filter with selectivity 38.2 dB/GHz and 17.8 dB return loss. Results on the DGS-based elliptic filter, Butterworth and Chebyshev filters are also presented. The experimental results are compared against the recently reported LPFs. Our reported filters perform better with respect to selectivity and group delay variation. The flatter GD and high selectivity, along with a wide 10 dB impedance matching BW, make the DGS Bessel filter a candidate for high-speed data communication, front end of a wideband communication system and efficiency improvement of a power amplifier.  相似文献

In this article, surface-potential-based analytical threshold voltage model for underlap Fully Depleted Silicon-On-Insulator MOSFET (underlap-SOI) is developed by solving two-dimensional Poisson equation. The gate underlap at source/drain (S/D) has different boundary conditions as compared to channel region under the gate dielectric that divide the whole channel into three regions. It leads us to derive the new surface potential model for three different channel regions, i.e. the region under the gate dielectric and two gate underlap regions at S/D. The effects of underlap length, channel length, body thickness, channel doping concentration, metal gate work function and gate dielectric constant on threshold voltage have been included in our model. The threshold voltage dependence on different device parameters has been studied using analytical model and simulations. The closeness between the simulation results and model results show that the analytical model accurately calculate the threshold voltage values for large range of device parameters.  相似文献

Performances of the conventional Butterworth step impedance lowpass filters (LPF) are significantly improved by placing transmission zero either closer to the cut-off frequency (fc) or away from it. It is achieved by using transverse resonance width of the capacitive line sections. We report method of designing transverse resonance type LPF (TR-LPF) for 5 to 11-pole filters. At fc = 2.5 GHz, we obtained selectivity in the range 113.3–56.66 dB/GHz and 20–60 dB rejection BW in the range 9.61–7.29 GHz. The TR-LPF can suppress the stopband signal by 60 dB up to 5fc. Insertion loss in passband is within 0.72 dB. Improved performance of TR-LPF can be designed for fc up to 7.5 GHz.  相似文献

The frequency of the power system varies based on the load pattern of the consumers. With continuous increase in the load, the frequency of the system keeps decreasing and may reach its minimum allowable limits. Further increase in the load will result in more frequency drop leading to the need of load shedding, if excess generation is not available to cater the need. This paper proposed a methodology in a hybrid thermal-hydro system for finding the required amount of load to be shed for setting the frequency of the system within its minimum allowable limits. The load shedding steps were obtained based on the rate of change of frequency with the increase in the load in both areas. The impact of superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) was obtained on load shedding scheme. The comparison of the results was presented on the two-area system.  相似文献

It is well recognized that the voltage stability of a power system is affected by the load model and hence, to effectively analyze the reactive power compensation of an isolated hybrid wind-diesel based power system, the loads need to be considered along with the generators in a transient analysis. This paper gives a detailed mathematical modeling to compute the reactive power response with small voltage perturbation for composite load. The composite load is a combination of the static and dynamic load model. To develop this composite load model, the exponential load is used as a static load model and induction motors (IMs) are used as a dynamic load model. To analyze the dynamics of IM load, the fifth, third and first order model of IM are formulated and compared using differential equations solver in Matlab coding. Since the decentralized areas have many small consumers which may consist large numbers of IMs of small rating, it is not realistic to model either a single large rating unit or all small rating IMs together that are placed in the system. In place of using a single large rating IM, a group of motors are considered and then the aggregate model of IM is developed using the law of energy conservation. This aggregate model is used as a dynamic load model. For different simulation studies, especially in the area of voltage stability with reactive power compensation of an isolated hybrid power system, the transfer function ΔQ/ΔV of the composite load is required. The transfer function of the composite load is derived in this paper by successive derivation for the exponential model of static load and for the fifth and third order IM dynamic load model using state space model.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to analyze unbalanced radial distribution systems (UBRDS) with the distribution static compensator (D-STATCOM). The main objectives of this paper are D-STATCOM allocation in UBRDS with an objective of providing reactive power support to enhance voltage profile and reduce line losses of the distribution network, determination of optimal D-STATCOM rating subjected to minimization of total cost, and impact of D-STATCOM placement on improving power factor and savings in cost of energy loss. The analysis is conducted on a large industrial load model with light, medium and high loading scenarios. Further, the impact of load growth is also considered for better planning of the power distribution system. The results are obtained on standard 25-bus UBRDS to check the feasibility of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

Mine water samples collected from the East Bokaro coalfield were analysed to assess suitability for domestic, irrigation, and industrial purposes. The pH of the samples ranged from 6.78 to 8.11 in the pre-monsoon season, 5.89–8.51 during the monsoon season, and 6.95–8.48 in the post-monsoon season. The anion chemistry was dominated by HCO3? and SO42?, with minor amounts of Cl?, NO3? and F?. The Fe concentrations exceeded the maximum permissible limit of the BIS drinking water standard in about 44% of the collected samples. Turbidity, TDS, Fe, total hardness (TH), SO42?, and Mg2+ also sometimes exceeded drinking water limits. The TDS, TH and SO42? concentrations of the mine water makes it unsuitable for domestic purposes or for industrial use; high values of %Na, SAR, RSC, and Mg-hazard at certain sites restrict its suitability for agricultural use.  相似文献

Spun films of novel substituted lead phthalocyanine derivatives between aluminum and indium tin oxide electrodes exhibit large, reproducible negative differential resistance (NDR) in their current–voltage characteristics and can be electrically switched between a high conductance on state and a low conductance off state. Space charge limited conduction mechanism was identified from temperature dependent measurements to be responsible for charge transport. The NDR effect may be due to the charge storage in the structure near the electrodes.  相似文献
