In this article we compare the performance of a learning controller with and without a flexible and incrementally expandable distribution scheme. The learning method is modeled after Holland's learning classifier system, but it uses Q-learning as the reinforcement method instead of the “bucket-brigade.” The method for distributing the learning among sub-processes is modular, so that learning can be accomplished monolithically, as a redundant system of peers, or as a conceptual hierarchy of competence levels with varying degrees of abstraction. They can also communicate using short messages transmitted quickly between modules running in separate processes, on separate machines, or across a network connection. The system is applied to a mobile agent whose task is to defend itself against other mobile agents trying to attack it. As a simulation example, we consider a naval combat scenario wherein a surface vessel is considered as a mobile root with various radar and communications sensors. Its task is to detect other agents such as other ships and planes, identify and classify them, and devise optimal tactical decision policies. The results suggest that the learning method employed is useful in general for any sensor-based autonomous robot in dynamic, unstructured environments. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Incremental mining has attracted the attention of many researchers due to its usefulness in online applications. Many algorithms have thus been proposed for incrementally mining frequent itemsets. Maintaining a frequent-itemset lattice (FIL) is difficult for databases with large numbers of frequent itemsets, especially huge databases, due to the storage of links of nodes in the lattice. However, generating association rules from a FIL has been shown to be more effective than traditional methods such as directly generating rules from frequent itemsets or frequent closed itemsets. Therefore, when the number of frequent itemsets is not huge (i.e., they can be stored in the lattice without excessive memory overhead), the lattice-based approach outperforms approaches which mine association rules from frequent itemsets/frequent closed itemsets. However, incremental algorithms for building FILs have not yet been proposed. This paper proposes an effective approach for the maintenance of a FIL based on the pre-large concept in incremental mining. The building process of a FIL is first improved using two proposed theorems regarding the paternity relation between two nodes in the lattice. An effective approach for maintaining a FIL with dynamically inserted data is then proposed based on the pre-large and the diffset concepts. The experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms the batch approach for building a FIL in terms of execution time.  相似文献

Trans-resveratrol and trans-ε-viniferin were extracted from milled grape canes using pressurized low-polarity water. The effects of temperature were significant for both compounds (p ≤ 0.05): extraction at 160 °C resulted in a 40% loss of trans-resveratrol compared to 95 °C while reduction of trans-ε-viniferin at both temperatures remained at 30%. Increasing ethanol concentration from 0% to 25% increased the extraction of total phenolics and trans-ε-viniferin by 44% and 489%, respectively. Solvent flow rate also influenced trans-ε-viniferin extraction. Antioxidant activity showed a strong correlation with total phenolic content of the extracts, and the two target phenolic compounds. Except for the modifier concentration, the extraction parameters studied were not statistically significant with respect to the antioxidant activity of extracts (p > 0.05). Effective diffusivities of trans-resveratrol multiplied from 3.3 × 10−11 to 10.4 × 10−11 m2/s by three times with increasing temperature. The modified Gompertz equation satisfactorily explained the extraction of the stilbenes investigated.  相似文献

The lubricant entrapment and escape phenomena in metal forming are studied experimentally as well as numerically. Experiments are carried out in strip reduction of aluminium sheet applying a transparent die to study the fluid flow between mesoscopic cavities. The numerical analysis involves two computation steps. The first one is a fully coupled fluid-structure Finite Element computation, where pockets in the surface are plastically deformed leading to the pressurization of the entrapped fluid. The second step computes the fluid exchange between cavities through the plateaus of asperity contacts with the plane tool, one cavity at a time.  相似文献

The paper deals with an analysis of an extrusion process with a divided material flow. As we are forced to seek for optimal technological solutions with short testing times and low risks and costs, a reliable process evaluation is of the greatest importance.

The paper discusses the influences of tool geometry, friction and lubrication as well as workpiece properties on balanced material flow in a combined extrusion process. The FEM analysis applying the DEFORM code has been used in order to predict the process parameters and to estimate its stability. The subsequent experimental verification has resulted in a conclusion that modern computer aided tools, tuned by proper experimental sets, can be used for fast and reliable cold metal forging process planning.  相似文献

A novel HLA-B allele (B*5002), detected as a discrepancy between serological and PCR-SSP HLA-A and B phenotyping of bone marrow panel donors, was identified by nucleotide sequencing of exons 2 and 3. Titration studies on 39 HLA-B12/B21 cross-reactive antisera showed that the serological specificity of HLA-B*5002 was HLA-B45. PCR-SSP testing of 287 serologically defined HLA-B45-positive subjects from a panel of 12,411 donors, together with HLA-B*45 and B*5002 frequency data on 4,342 PCR-SSP typed subjects, indicated that 4.53% of serologically defined HLA-B45-positive subjects possess HLA-B*5002 and not HLA-B*4501. The phenotype frequency of HLA-B*5002 was 0.08954%; gene frequency was 0.00045 (n=16,753). In 73.3% of instances B*5002 appeared to be present on a haplotype with DRB1*0406 and DQB1*0402, 54.6% of which possessed A*2301. The B*5002, DRB1*0406, DQB1*0402 haplotype represents 52.4% of all haplotypes with DRB1*04 and DQB1*04 and 78.6% of haplotypes possessing DRB1*0406 and DQB1*0402.  相似文献
