Soft features in electronic devices have provided an opportunity of gleaning a wide spectrum of intimate biosignals. Lack of data processing tools in a soft form, however, proclaims the need of bulky wires or low‐performance near‐field communication externally linked to a “rigid” processor board, thus tarnishing the true meaning of “soft” electronics. Furthermore, although of rising interest in stretchable hybrid electronics, lack of consideration in multilayer, miniaturized design and system‐level data computing limits their practical use. The results presented here form the basis of fully printable, system‐level soft electronics for practical data processing and computing with advanced capabilities of universal circuit design and multilayer device integration into a single platform. Single droplet printing‐based integration of rigid islands and core–shell vertical interconnect access (via) into a common soft matrix with a symmetric arrangement leads to a double‐side universal soft electronic platform that features site‐selective, simultaneous double‐side strain isolation, and vertical interconnection, respectively. Systematic studies of island‐morphology engineering, surface‐strain mapping, and electrical analysis of the platform propose optimized designs. Commensurate with the universal layout, a complete example of double‐side integrated, stretchable 1 MHz binary decoders comprised of 36 logic gates interacting with 9 vias is demonstrated by printing‐based, double‐side electronic functionalization. 相似文献

Lithium (Li) metal is one of the most promising candidates for the anode in high‐energy‐density batteries. However, Li dendrite growth induces a significant safety concerns in these batteries. Here, a multifunctional separator through coating a thin electronic conductive film on one side of the conventional polymer separator facing the Li anode is proposed for the purpose of Li dendrite suppression and cycling stability improvement. The ultrathin Cu film on one side of the polyethylene support serves as an additional conducting agent to facilitate electrochemical stripping/deposition of Li metal with less accumulation of electrically isolated or “dead” Li. Furthermore, its electrically conductive nature guides the backside plating of Li metal and modulates the Li deposition morphology via dendrite merging. In addition, metallic Cu film coating can also improve thermal stability of the separator and enhance the safety of the batteries. Due to its unique beneficial features, this separator enables stable cycling of Li metal anode with enhanced Coulombic efficiency during extended cycles in Li metal batteries and increases the lifetime of Li metal anode by preventing short‐circuit failures even under extensive Li metal deposition. 相似文献

Actor-oriented directional anycast routing in wireless sensor and actor networks with smart antennas
Current routing protocols in wireless sensor and actor networks (WSANs) shows a lack of unification for different traffic patterns because the communication for sensor to actor and that for actor to actor are designed separately. Such a design poses a challenge for interoperability between sensors and actors. With the presence of rich-resource actor nodes, we argue that to improve network lifetime, the problem transforms from reducing overall network energy consumption to reducing energy consumption of constrained sensor nodes. To reduce energy consumption of sensor nodes, especially in challenging environments with coverage holes/obstacles, we propose that actor nodes should share forwarding tasks with sensor nodes. To enable such a feature, efficient interoperability between sensors and actors is required, and thus a unified routing protocol for both sensors and actors is needed. This paper explores capabilities of directional transmission with smart antennas and rich-resource actors to design a novel unified actor-oriented directional anycast routing protocol (ADA) which supports arbitrary traffic in WSANs. The proposed routing protocol exploits actors as main routing anchors as much as possible because they have better energy and computing power compared to constraint sensor nodes. In addition, a directional anycast routing approach is also proposed to further reduce total delay and energy consumption of overall network. Through extensive experiments, we show that ADA outperforms state-of-the-art protocols in terms of packet delivery latency, network lifetime, and packet reliability. In addition, by offer fault tolerant features, ADA also performs well in challenging environments where coverage holes and obstacles are of concerns. 相似文献

We report the ellipsometric and photoluminescence (PL) properties of Indium zinc oxide (IZO) films, which were grown by radio frequency sputtering under Ar and O2 atmospheres. IZO films grown under an O2 atmosphere (IZO (O2)) showed enhanced PL properties when compared to the films grown under an Ar atmosphere (IZO (Ar)), particularly with respect to the band-edge emission. The enhancement of band-edge emission can be attributed to the reduction in the non-emissive defect states related to oxygen vacancies, which were repaired by sputtering under O2 atmosphere, whereas the PL enhancement in green region is probably due to the formation of the different types of defects under the excess oxygen environment. This was also supported by the results of time-resolved PL measurements, where the band-edge emission of IZO (Ar) showed rapid decay with a 50 ps lifetime, which indicates the dominance of the relaxation pathway to underlying defect states. In contrast, the PL decay profiles of IZO (O2) for band-edge and emissive defect states showed moderate decay with time-constants of 2.3 ns and 5.7 ns, respectively. The exciton relaxation dynamics were sensitive to the presence and its kinds of defect states, which were controlled by the growth conditions. 相似文献

This study investigates the (de)mobilizing influences of political (dis)agreement in the news and in political discussion on political attitudes and participation in new information environments. Results demonstrate the mediating functions of political ambivalence in that exposure to proattitudinal news reduces ambivalence and thereby promotes political participation, whereas exposure to counter-attitudinal news increases ambivalence and thereby discourages participation. Importantly, the effect of exposure to counter-attitudinal news on ambivalence was moderated by heterogeneous discussion networks on social network sites, such that the combination of exposure to counter-attitudinal news and to heterogeneous discussion networks amplifies ambivalence additively, and thereby augments the tendency toward demobilization. These results are interpreted as suggesting that changing media contexts may lead to complex roles of news and political discussion. 相似文献

The thermal stability of skutterudite-based thermoelectric modules is of great importance since they are used at elevated temperatures. This study examined the high-temperature stability of In-filled and Fe-doped skutterudites (In0.25Co3FeSb12) as a function of the following aging variables: atmosphere (vacuum and air), temperature, and time. Sb-based oxides are produced preferentially on exposure to high temperatures in air. The oxide layer produced during aging at 823?K in air was much thinner than that produced during aging at 723?K in air. The formation of InSb is believed to retard the oxidation of Sb and act as an obstacle to the growth of the oxide layer. The CoSb3-based skutterudites were stable at 823?K if they were not exposed to air, and InSb phases were not produced in the In0.25Co3FeSb12 skutterudites. 相似文献

A passive optical network (PON) architecture based on a hybrid wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) and time-division multiplexing (TDM) PON system with a remotely pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) is presented as an excellent candidate for use in a next-generation optical access network. The remotely pumped EDFA operates as a bidirectional amplifier and provides a 15-dB gain to both upstream signals and seed light sources, so the sensitivity of upstream transmission is greatly improved. An upstream transmission of 1.25 Gb/s with a low seed channel power of -14 dBm is made feasible over a total reach of 25 km for 32-WDM channels and 16-TDM splits by the use of the remotely pumped EDFA. This scheme has advantages that it uses a single transmission fiber for both down-and up-stream signals and that it reduces the Rayleigh scattering contribution. 相似文献

Minimum variance beamforming, which uses a weight vector that maximizes the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), is often sensitive to estimation error and uncertainty in the parameters, steering vector and covariance matrix. Robust beamforming attempts to systematically alleviate this sensitivity by explicitly incorporating a data uncertainty model in the optimization problem. In this paper, we consider robust beamforming via worst-case SINR maximization, that is, the problem of finding a weight vector that maximizes the worst-case SINR over the uncertainty model. We show that with a general convex uncertainty model, the worst-case SINR maximization problem can be solved by using convex optimization. In particular, when the uncertainty model can be represented by linear matrix inequalities, the worst-case SINR maximization problem can be solved via semidefinite programming. The convex formulation result allows us to handle more general uncertainty models than prior work using a special form of uncertainty model. We illustrate the method with a numerical example. 相似文献

A new method to reduce the computation time in power/ground-plane analysis is proposed. The proposed method is based on an approximation of impedance in the frequency domain using Mobius transform. The power/ground plane impedance is transformed by Mobius transform and is more linear than the raw impedance, which ensures that a simple approximation is possible. After the approximation, an inverse Mobius transform is applied to predict the power/ground plane impedance. This method displays the high speed of computing with good accuracy. In the case of impedance calculation for a 17.78 cm times 10.16 cm printed circuit board (PCB) board, the proposed method has shown to be 12 times faster than conventional methods. This method can be applied to the analysis and design of power/ground-plane where complex computation is needed. 相似文献
