Complex fenestration systems (CFS) designed to collect and redirect daylight from the sky-vault are generally placed on the upper part of a window in order to improve the distribution of indoor daylight. Due to their additional function as solar protection, their use might contribute to the mitigation of the unfavourable effects that the admission of daylight signifies, especially in buildings located in prevailing sunny climates (risk of glare and overheating). An appropriate selection of the CFS that better contributes to improve the interior daylight environment would imply an integrated performance assessment taking into account relevant aspects such as indoor daylight distribution and the visual and thermal comfort of occupants. However, such an assessment implies the use of performance criteria with different targets; therefore, in order to evaluate their overall performance, a multi-criteria analysis is applied in this study. The method presented here describes a comprehensive evaluation to determine those CFS that better contribute to an improved indoor daylighting environment in a building located in a prevailing sunny climate. The CFS performance assessment was undertaken with computer simulations using their bi-directional transmission distribution function (BTDF).  相似文献

According to self-determination theory (R. M. Ryan & E. L. Deci, 2000), supports for autonomy and competence are essential for growth and well-being in any learning environment. Educational contexts differ in their relative support for these 2 needs. The authors examined the role of autonomy and competence in 2 German and 2 American university settings, as they were predicted to differ in terms of their relative emphasis on competence versus autonomy. Invariance analyses supported the construct comparability of the measures and demonstrated that German students felt significantly more autonomous and less competent than American students. Perceived pressures and positive informational feedback were modeled as antecedents of autonomy and competence, and well-being was examined as a consequence. The authors describe an experimental set-up, using transfer function analysers, which allows for the impedance of a hanging mercury drop electrode to be measured at frequencies as low as 3 × 10−3 Hz, and for the low frequency limit of that impedance to be compared with the slope of the current-voltage curve. The device is applied to the reduction of the persulfate anion in a 1 M LiCl solution, in a region of potential where the current-voltage curve has a negative slope.  相似文献

The exciton recombination processes in a series of elastically strained GaAsBi epilayers are investigated by means of time-integrated and time-resolved photoluminescence at T = 10 K. The bismuth content in the samples was adjusted from 1.16% to 3.83%, as confirmed by high-resolution X-ray diffraction (HR-XRD). The results are well interpreted by carrier trapping and recombination mechanisms involving the Bi-related localized levels. Clear distinction between the localized and delocalized regime was observed in the spectral and temporal photoluminescence emission.  相似文献

This longitudinal study investigated whether smoking bans influence passive smoking at work and/or at home in the same subjects. Passive smoking at work and/or at home was investigated in random population samples (European Community Respiratory Health Survey) in 1990‐1995, with follow‐up interviews in 1998‐2003 and 2010‐2014. National smoking bans were classified as partial (restricted to public workplaces) or global (extended to private workplaces). Multivariable analysis was accomplished by three‐level logistic regression models, where level‐1, level‐2, and level‐3 units were, respectively, questionnaire responses, subjects, and centers. Passive smoking at work was reported by 31.9% in 1990‐1995, 17.5% in 1998‐2003, and 2.5% in 2010‐2014. Concurrently, passive smoking at home decreased from 28.9% to 18.2% and 8.8%. When controlling for sex, age, education, smoking status, and ECHRS wave, the odds of passive smoking at work was markedly reduced after global smoking bans (OR = 0.45, 95% CI 0.25‐0.81), particularly among non‐smokers, while the protective effect of global smoking bans on passive smoking at home was only detected in non‐smokers. Smoking bans both in public and private workplaces were effective in reducing passive smoking at work in Europe. However, given the inefficacy of smoking bans in current smokers’ dwellings, better strategies are needed to avoid smoking indoors.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The main objective of this study was to improve the structure of a Cabernet Sauvignon red wine in a short period of time by micro‐oxygenation (MOX) at high rates (25 and 50 mL L?1 month?1), the effects of which were evaluated based on sensory characteristics and consumer preference. Sensory data were analysed by principal component analysis, discriminant analysis and ordinal logistic regression (OLR). RESULTS: MOX led to significant differences in the colour, colour stability and phenolic compounds of wine. Sensory characteristics also changed through MOX treatment, and wine experts were able to discriminate between MOX‐treated and untreated samples, with olfactory intensity, complexity, astringency and roundness being the main discriminating characteristics. Ordinal logistic regression enabled identification of the sensory characteristics that drove consumer preference. CONCLUSION: MOX at high rates improved the sensory characteristics of wine and may therefore be considered a valid technique for obtaining structured wines in a short period of time, i.e. within just a few months after the vintage. The results highlight the need for (i) careful selection of the MOX dosage rate and duration (the 25 mL L?1 month?1 dose for 6 days provided the best result) and (ii) continuous monitoring of the MOX treatment.
