Turbo codes have received tremendous attention and have commenced their practical applications due to their excellent error-correcting capability. Investigation of efficient iterative decoder realizations is of particular interest because the underlying soft-input soft-output decoding algorithms usually lead to highly complicated implementation. This paper describes the architectural design and analysis of sliding-window (SW) Log-MAP decoders in terms of a set of predetermined parameters. The derived mathematical representations can be applied to construct a variety of VLSI architectures for different applications. Based on our development, a SW-Log-MAP decoder complying with the specification of third-generation mobile radio systems is realized to demonstrate the performance tradeoffs among latency, average decoding rate, area/computation complexity, and memory power consumption. Conditions of formation of bulk tellurium chalcogenide glasses, containing 70–80 at % Te associated to Ga and Ge are described. The characteristic temperatures are measured: the glass‐transition temperature, Tg, is situated in the range 140–185 °C and the difference Tx – Tg, where Tx is the onset crystallization temperature, is in the range 76–113 °C. Moreover, the optical transmission window is exceptional, ranging from 1.99 μm in the bandgap up to 28 μm in the phonon region. Developed within the framework of requirements for the Darwin mission (a search for and study of extrasolar planets), feasibility of infrared optical fibers formed from these glasses is studied. Drawing experiments are conducted with the glass Ga2‐Ge3Te15, which possesses the maximum Tx – Tg, and a first optical fiber is presented. 相似文献

通过对于断裂系统分析和地球物理资料的解释,证实了柴达木盆地北缘西段的主要构造形成时间为上新世以后,变形样式为一系列右行走滑冲断构造。走滑冲断构造带内部的断层在平面上呈分支复合,剖面上表现为正花状构造,断层上、下盘地层层序无法直接对比。右行走滑冲断构造形成于南祁连由北向南的斜向推覆作用,而主要应力来源于柴达木地块北缘由南向北的陆内俯冲作用。用一个运动学模型解释了柴北缘的右行走滑冲断作用机制。 相似文献

OLED是一种新型平板显示器件,文章设计了一种应用于96×64彩色PM-OLED的显示驱动芯片。该芯片能实现256级对比度调节和65k色彩显示。芯片为高压、大电流的数模混合电路,内部包括数字控制电路,片内SRAM,片内振荡器,DC-DC升压电路,行驱动电路,高压基准电流源电路,以及电流精确可调的列驱动电路。该芯片是一种电流驱动型电路,列驱动电路采用PAM方式实现灰度调制,以及大电流预充的方式对PM-OLED屏幕像素进行预充。全芯片已通过Nanosim仿真,并进行了部分测试。仿真和测试结果验证了设计的正确性。 相似文献

Understanding how aging influences cognition across different cultures has been hindered by a lack of standardized, cross-referenced verbal stimuli. This study introduces a database of such item-level stimuli for both younger and older adults, in China and the United States, and makes 3 distinct contributions. First, the authors specify which item categories generalize across age and/or cultural groups, rigorously quantifying differences among them. Second, they introduce novel, powerful methods to measure between-group differences in freely generated ranked data, the rank-ordered logit model and Hellinger Affinity. Finally, a broad archive of tested, cross-linguistic stimuli is now freely available to researchers: data, similarity measures, and all stimulus materials for 105 categories and 4 culture-by-age groups, comprising over 10,000 fully translated unique item responses. A modified method is discussed that is based on Farooque and Deshpande's method to obtain polymer–polymer interaction parameters using inverse gas chromatography (IGC) data. In the Farooque and Deshpande method, the ratio of the difference of probe–polymer interaction parameters between two polymers and the probe volume [(χ12 ? χ13)/V1] is used as the abscissa. In the modified method, the ratio [(?2χ12 + ?3χ13)/V1] is used as the abscissa. Experimental data previously reported for a poly(?‐caprolactone)‐polyepichlorohydrin (PCL/PECH) blend and a poly(ethyl acrylate)‐poly(vinyl propionate) (PEA/PVPr) blend are analyzed. It is found that the slopes obtained by the new method had smaller deviations from the theoretical values than the Farooque and Deshpande method. The standard deviations of both slopes and intercepts obtained from the new method are also smaller. Using the new method, the polymer–polymer interaction parameters obtained from the intercept are negative numbers for the PCL/PECH system and very small positive numbers for PEA/PVPr. Explanations are given for the probe and concentration dependency of the polymer–polymer interaction parameters that are generally observed in IGC studies. In this paper, we propose an efficient design method for area optimization in a digital filter. The conventional methods to reduce the number of adders in a filter have the problem of a long critical path delay caused by the deep logic depth of the filter due to adder sharing. Furthermore, there is such a disadvantage that they use the transposed direct form (TDF) filter which needs more registers than those of the direct form (DF) filter. In this paper, we present a hybrid structure of a TDF and DF based on the flattened coefficients method so that it can reduce the number of flip‐flops and full‐adders without additional critical path delay. We also propose a resource sharing method and sharing‐pattern searching algorithm to reduce the number of adders without deepening the logic depth. Simulation results show that the proposed structure can save the number of adders and registers by 22 and 26%, respectively, compared to the best one used in the past. 相似文献
