Sidestream tobacco smoke exposure acutely alters human nasal mucociliary clearance

Nasal mucociliary clearance (NMC) is a biomarker of nasal mucosal function. Tobacco smokers have been shown to have abnormal NMC, but the acute effect of environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) on nonsmokers is unknown. This study evaluated acute tobacco smoke-induced alterations in NMC in 12 healthy adults. Subjects were studied on 2 days, separated by at least 1 week. Subjects underwent a 60-min controlled exposure at rest to air or sidestream tobacco smoke (SS) (15 ppm CO) in a controlled environmental chamber. One hour after the exposure, 99mTc-sulfur colloid was aerosolized throughout the nasal passage and counts were measured with a scintillation detector. Six out of 12 subjects showed more rapid clearance after smoke exposure than after air exposure, and 3/12 had rapid clearance on both days. However, substantial decreases in clearance occurred in 3/12 subjects, all of whom had a history of ETS rhinitis. In two subjects, more than 90% of the tracer remained 1 hr after tracer administration (2 hr after smoke exposure). Understanding the basis for biologic variability in the acute effect of tobacco smoke on NMC may advance our understanding of pathogenesis of chronic effects of ETS.

多级脉冲深穿透射孔技术

目前国内较先进的射孔工艺是增效射孔和三相流射孔,这2种射孔工艺均存在射孔深度和造缝深度浅的问题,尤其是对低渗油藏和纵向渗透率远大于横向渗透率的油藏,此造缝深度并不能满足油田生产的需要.介绍了一种新型的射孔技术,它是一种能进行深度射孔造缝的多级射孔技术,利用三级推进剂燃爆时产生峰值不连续的高温、高压气流,形成多级脉冲,多次冲击射孔孔眼前沿的裂缝,使其有效延伸至地层深处,从而较单独的射孔更能有效地增加油气产量.通过地面水泥靶的试验,证明了该射孔器的延缝功能和安全性;通过塘32等井的现场试验,证明该射孔技术对污染地层解堵有显著效果,可明显地降低地层破裂压力.     

Melt index prediction by weighted least squares support vector machines

Melt index is considered an important quality variable determining product specifications. Reliable prediction of melt index (MI) is crucial in quality control of practical propylene polymerization processes. In this paper a least squares support vector machines (LS‐SVM) soft‐sensor model of propylene polymerization process is developed to infer the MI of polypropylene from other process variables. Considering the use of a SSE cost function without regularization might lead to less robust estimates; the weighted least squares support vector machines (weighted LS‐SVM) approach of propylene polymerization process is further proposed to obtain a robust estimation of melt index. The performance of standard SVM model is taken as a basis of comparison. A detailed comparison research among the standard SVM, LS‐SVM, and weighted LS‐SVM models is carried out. An antiphishing strategy based on visual similarity assessment

The authors' proposed antiphishing strategy uses visual characteristics to identify potential phishing sites and measure suspicious pages similarity to actual sites registered with the system. The first of two sequential processes in the SiteWatcher system runs on local email servers and monitors emails for keywords and suspicious URLs. The second process then compares the potential phishing pages against actual pages and assesses visual similarities between them in terms of key regions, page layouts, and overall styles. The approach is designed to be part of an enterprise antiphishing solution.     

薄层反射波非零炮检距的属性特征

 本文从薄层顶、底界面反射波的走时入手，研究了薄层反射波在非零炮检距集上出现的干涉现象，导出了薄层反射波在出现干涉时的炮检距计算公式，说明薄层干涉出现的炮检距是多变量函数，即随着埋藏深度h、地层速度v、薄层厚度Δh以及地震波的主频f*的变化而改变。本文重点分析了地层厚度Δh和地震子波主频f*对反射波振幅特性和频率特性的影响。在充分分析薄层反射的振幅、频谱随炮检距变化关系的基础上，指出在应用叠前信息（如AVO分析）进行储层预测等方面的研究时，应充分考虑薄层反射波的干涉和调谐现象带来的振幅和频率特征的变化。     

灌河潮流界位置确定与港口防淤探讨

盐城市位于江苏省中部,地处黄海之滨,承接里下河腹部区的排水,区内入海河流众多,在这些入海河流上大多建有挡潮闸坝。但由于盐城市近海为淤积型海岸,闸坝的建设改变了河口的自然状态,造成港口下游淤积严重,排水不畅。灌河作为江苏省沿海唯一下游没有建挡潮闸的重要入海河流,仍为自然状态,下游港口未淤积。本文通过对灌河水体涨、落潮中氯离子含量的监测,找出海水上溯的最大距离,确定其影响范围,为其它入海流河流的防淤提供借鉴。
