This study was conducted at three sites of different characteristics in São Paulo State: São Paulo (SPA), Piracicaba (PRB) and Mata Atlântica Forest (MAT). PM10, n-alkanes, pristane and phytane, PAHs, water-soluble ions and biomass burning tracers like levoglucosan and retene, were determined in quartz fiber filters. Samplings occurred on May 8th to August 8th, 2007 at the MAT site; on August 15th to 29th in 2007 and November 10th to 29th in 2008 at the PRB site and, March 13th to April 4th in 2007 and August 7th to 29th in 2008 at the SPA site.Aliphatic compounds emitted biogenically were less abundant at the urban sites than at the forest site, and its distribution showed the influence of tropical vascular plants. Air mass transport from biomass burning regions is likely to impact the sites with specific molecular markers.The concentrations of all species were variable and dependent of seasonal changes. In the most dry and polluted seasons, n-alkane and cation total concentrations were similar between the megacity and the biomass burning site. PAHs and inorganic ion abundances were higher at São Paulo than Piracicaba, yet, the site influenced by biomass burning seems to be the most impacted by the organic anion abundance in the atmosphere. Pristane and phytane confirm the contamination by petroleum residues at urban sites; at the MAT site, biological activity and long range transport of pollutants might influence the levels of pristane.  相似文献

To better understand the biological properties of cupuassu seed residue resulting from fruit industrial processing, its antioxidant activity was determined by both the 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl and 2,2′‐azino‐bis(3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulfonic acid) assays. Molecular modeling was used to correlate the antiradical power of eleven known cupuassu phenolic compounds with their structures. The extract antioxidant activity by both methods was very high compared with those of similar residues. The properties of the highest occupied and lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals indicate that the most energetically stable compounds possess the highest antioxidant activity. This was confirmed through the molecular electrostatic potential map by the nucleophilic surfaces on the oxygen atoms of carbonyl and hydroxyl groups.  相似文献

We present a novel algorithm to accelerate feature based registration, and demonstrate the utility of the algorithm for the alignment of large transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images to create 3-D images of neural ultrastructure. In contrast to the most similar algorithms, which achieve small computation times by truncated search, our algorithm uses a novel randomized projection to accelerate feature comparison and to enable global search. Further, we demonstrate robust estimation of nonrigid transformations with a novel probabilistic correspondence framework, that enables large TEM images to be rapidly brought into alignment, removing characteristic distortions of the tissue fixation and imaging process. We analyze the impact of randomized projections upon correspondence detection, and upon transformation accuracy, and demonstrate that accuracy is maintained. We provide experimental results that demonstrate significant reduction in computation time and successful alignment of TEM images.  相似文献

Cisplatin (CPL) is one of the most widely used and effective chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of several human malignancies. However, it causes serious side effects, especially on reproduction. In order to reduce the undesirable effects caused by many drugs, liposomes have been used as a good system for drug delivery. The aim of this study was to investigate, for the first time, the effects of CPL incorporated into the dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine liposome (DPPC) on the testicular tissue of adult Wistar rats. The animals (n = 20) were distributed into four experimental groups: (a) control (distillated water); (b) liposome (DPPC, 1 mL), (c) cisplatin incorporated into liposome (CPL/DPPC), and (d) CPL (8 mg/kg body weight). The animals received a single intraperitoneal injection and were killed 10 days after each treatment for histopathological analysis of testes. The results showed that the testicular histomorphometric parameters in rats of DPPC and CPL/DPPC groups were similar to those of the control group. Meanwhile, rats of the CPL‐treated group showed a variety of morphological alterations, including atrophy of seminiferous tubules and presence of multinucleated cells in the germinal epithelium. The incorporation of CPL into the liposome had no influence on the testicular weight or any other stereological parameters, but it was beneficial in maintaining the body weight of the animals. In conclusion, the liposome suppressed the cytotoxic effects caused by cisplatin in the testes of rats, suggesting a possible use in chemotherapy against cancer to reduce the side effects seen on reproduction. This study assesses the nutritive and non-nutritive attributes of washed-up seaweeds from the Brazilian coast. It covers a broad diversity of species (24 red, nine green and four brown) with reasonable levels of proteins (10–14.8%), high ash contents (13–25%), low lipids (below 1%) and high carbohydrate contents (60%). Toxic and/or antinutritional factors were detected, such as low levels of lectins (32 and 64 HU/g of meal for chicken and rabbit trypsin-treated erythrocytes, respectively), tannins (59 mg/100 g), phytic acid (0.45%), high levels of trypsin inhibitors (99.0% inhibition) and -amylase inhibitors (70.5%). The 0/80% fraction showed moderate toxicity to mice (LD50 of 63.8 mg kg−1). The presence of heavy metals such as cadmium (0.29 mg/100 g), chromium (0.23 mg/100 g), nickel (0.26 mg/100 g) and vanadium (3.56 mg/100 g) was also detected. Despite moderate toxicity and antinutritional limitations, washed-up seaweeds represent a potential food alternative for humans after appropriate processing and environmental remediation to guarantee food safety.  相似文献

The thixoformability of new Al-Si-Cu alloys was evaluated and characterized by their microstructural and rheological behavior. Alloys Al1Si2.6Cu, Al2Si2.6Cu, Al4Si2.6Cu, and Al7Si2.6Cu were produced with the addition of Al5Ti1B grain refiner alloy. The materials were heat treated under two controlled conditions: holding times of 0, 30, 90, and 210 s and solid fraction of 45 and 60%. The evaluation of the microstructure and semisolid behavior was characterized by globule size, shape factor (SF), minimum stress to flow, maximum stress, and apparent viscosity. The heat treatment times promoted the globularization of solid phase particles to achieve better apparent viscosity results for the alloys treated for 210 s. Both 45 and 60% solid fraction showed no significant differences in terms of SF, but the alloys containing lower solid fraction showed better performance for apparent viscosity. Better working ranges for these new Al-Si-Cu alloys were determined reaching average strain of 0.5 MPa and apparent viscosity of 10Pa s.  相似文献

We describe a method to solve the stereo correspondence using controlled head (or camera) movements. These movements, which can be due to eye rotation, head rotation, or head translation, essentially supply additional imageframes which can be used to constrain the stereo matching by supplying monocular cues. Because the movements are small, traditional methods of stereo with multiple frame will not work. We develop an alternative approach using a systematic analysis to define a probability distribution for the errors. Our matching strategy then matches the most probable points first (based on the monocular cues), thereby reducing the ambiguity for the remaining matches. In 4 experiments it was found that global frameworks and local distinctive figural characteristics influenced the perception of shape and of pointing. In Exps 1 and 2, Ss were asked to mark the center of the middle figure in array of 3 aligned figures (either triangles or squares). Displacements of the center indicated a perceived deformation of the shapes. In Exp 3, Ss were asked to adjust the height of triangles in arrays similar to those in Exp 1. Height adjustments made along the axis of apparent pointing resulted in extents that were shorter than the height necessary to form equilateral triangles. In Exp 4, stimuli were isosceles triangles in which the apparent distortion had been nulled; however, Ss continued to perceive them as pointing in a direction consistent with their alignment, and hence shape distortion cannot be the cause of pointing.
