This paper proposes a design approach of continuous sliding mode control of uncertain systems, the uncertainty being norm bounded. The two steps of the design methodology are investigated. The existence step, in which we choose the sliding surface that gives good behaviour during the sliding mode, is formulated as a pole assignment of linear uncertain system in a sector through convex optimization. The solution to this problem is therefore numerically tractable via linear matrix inequalities (LMI) optimization. In the reaching step, we propose a continuous nonlinear control strategy ensuring a bounded motion about the ideal sliding mode, thus approximating the ideal dynamic behaviour in the presence of uncertainty. Finally, the validity and the applicability of this approach are illustrated by a flight stabilization benchmark example. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper reports comparative reliability of the hot carrier induced electrical performance degradation in power RF LDMOS transistors after RF life-tests and novel methods for accelerated ageing tests under various conditions (electrical and/or thermal stress): thermal shock tests (TST, air–air test) and thermal cycling tests (TCT, air–air test) under various conditions (with and without DC bias, TST cold and hot, different channel current IDS and different extremes temperatures ΔT values). It is important to understand the effects of the reliability degradation mechanisms on the S-parameters and in turn on static and dynamic parameters. The analysis of the experimental results is presented and the physical processes responsible for the observed degradation at different stress conditions are studied by means of 2D ATLAS-SILVACO simulations. The RF performance degradation of hot-carrier effects power RF LDMOS transistors can be explained by the transconductance and miller capacitance shifts, which are resulted from the interface state generation and trapped electrons, thereafter results in a build up of negative charge at Si/SiO2 interface.  相似文献

In this letter, a memristor-based chirp pulse generator circuit is introduced for ultra-wideband transceivers for the first time. The proposed generator is built using memristor-controlled ring oscillator. Memristor is used to replace the bulky components in the chirp pulse generation such as surface acoustic wave filters and reactive components (capacitor and inductors), which reflects a huge reduction in area and power. The chirp pulse frequency of the proposed circuit varies linearly with time over the pulse duration due to the change in the memristance. The proposed circuit is mathematically analyzed and designed using 65-nm complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The 500-MHz bandwidth is demonstrated using a 32-ns pulse width complying with the FCC regulations. The power consumption is 84 μW with a 10-MHz pulse repetition frequency (PRF).  相似文献

Olive mill wastes represent a significant environmental problem in Mediterranean areas where they are generated in huge quantities in a short period of time. Their high phenol, lipid and organic acid concentrations turn them into phytotoxic materials, but these wastes also contain valuable resources such as a large proportion of organic matter and a wide range of nutrients that could be recycled. Composting is one of the technologies used for the valorization of this effluent, producing a fertilizer useful for poor soils.The present work deals with the changes that occur in the content of phenolic compounds and the biotoxicity of the oxidized substrate which result from the composting of olive mill wastewater (OMW) sludge with sesame bark. The total organic matter decreased 52.72% while water-soluble phenol degradation decreased 72% after 7 months of processing. Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectroscopy was used to confirm the elimination of polyphenols during composting. Initially, the analysis showed three abundant polyphenolic compounds, one of which was identified as the 4-hydroxyphenyl-ethanol (tyrosol), a well-known antioxidant in OMW. After 7 months of composting, all of the phenolic compounds disappeared. The phytotoxic effects of OMW sludge, assessed by the plant index germination, increased during the composting to reach 80% after 210 days. This trend was confirmed by the correlation between physico-chemical and toxicity parameters. The results obtained confirmed the stability of the compost prepared from OMW sludge with sesame bark and indicated a gradual detoxification as the compost matured.  相似文献

Olive mill sludge (OMS), a by-product resulting from natural evaporation of olive oil processing effluent, poses a major environmental threat. A current cost-effective practice of OMS management is composting. A mixture of OMS (60%) with poultry manure (PM) was successfully composted for 210 days. During the process, effluents of olive oil mill and confectionary were used to keep moisture at optimal level (40-60%). Biological indicators reflecting stability of the compost (microbial biota respiration and enumeration, and germination index) were analysed for the assessment of the product quality. The composted mixture showed a high microbial activity with a succession of microbial populations depending on the temperature reached during the biodegradation. The pathogen content from PM decreased with composting as did phytotoxic compounds. Phenols and lipids were reduced, respectively, by 40% and 84% while germination index increased with composting progress. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic analysis revealed that the final compost improved the aromatic content compared to the starting materials, with a decrease in aliphatic groups and a reduction in the easily assimilated components by the microflora acting during the biological process. The final compost was characterized by relatively high organic matter content (26.21%), a low C/N ratio (16.21), an alkaline pH (8.32), a relatively high electrical conductivity (9.21mS/cm) and a high level of nutrients. The germination index for Lepidium sativum L. was 87.71% after 210 days of composting, showing that the final compost was not phytotoxic.  相似文献

Cadmium removal from aqueous solution by polyelectrolyte enhanced ultrafiltration (PEUF) with relatively low transmembrane pressure was investigated at varying conditions of polyelectrolyte and cadmium concentrations, transmembrane pressure, ionic strength and pH. The poly(ammonium acrylate), with two average molecular weights (8000 and 15 000 Da) were used as polyelectrolyte. Flux declines during ultrafiltration of polyelectrolyte solutions. An effort has been made to evaluate these resistances independently at different operating conditions. The hydraulic membrane resistance is higher for processing solutions of PAmA8 than solutions of PAmA15. The study of ionic strength effect demonstrates that it decreases the retention of cadmium ions and increases the permeate flux. More than 99% of cadmium was retained for a NaNO3 feed concentration less than 5 × 10−2 mol L−1. The pH effect study on the cadmium recovery revealed a maximum retention around 98% for pH 4.  相似文献

We have simulated transient enhanced diffusion (TED) in the presence of end-of-range (EOR) defects produced by Ge amorphization followed by BF2+ implantation. Ostwald ripening of EOR defects has been taken into account. A comparison of annealed profiles with equivalent B+ implantation shows that the existing models are not sufficient to simulate the BF2+ experimental profiles where the boron diffusion depth is very low. We have proposed that the presence of fluorine can act as sinks for interstial boron and, hence, reduces the boron diffusion depth in order to obtain a good approximation of experimental profiles.  相似文献

Given the number and variety of methods used for handwriting recognition, it has been shown that there is no single method that can be called the "best". In recent years, the combination of different classifiers and the use of contextual information have become major areas of interest in improving recognition results. This paper addresses a case study on the combination of multiple classifiers and the integration of syntactic level information for the recognition of handwritten Arabic literal amounts. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time either of these methods has been applied to Arabic word recognition. Using three individual classifiers with high level global features, we performed word recognition experiments. A parallel combination method was tested for all possible configuration cases of the three chosen classifiers. A syntactic analyzer makes a final decision on the candidate words generated by the best configuration scheme. The effectiveness of contextual knowledge integration in our application is confirmed by the obtained results.  相似文献

The effect of the dietary supplementation to lambs of essential oils (EOs) from rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) and artemisia (Artemisia herba alba) on the antioxidant status of muscle and on meat oxidative stability was studied. Eighteen Barbarine lambs were divided into 3 groups and for 95 days received oat hay and concentrates. One group (C) was not supplemented, while the other two groups received 400 mg/kg of EOs from rosemary (R400) or artemisia (A400). Both EOs possessed antioxidant properties and their oral administration improved the reducing and radical scavenging capacity of the muscle compared to the C treatment (P < 0.01). Nevertheless, supplementing EOs did not exert protection against lipid oxidation and did not affect the colour stability in meat over 7 days of aerobic storage.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a uniform approach to simulate and visualize distributed algorithms encoded by graph relabelling systems. In particular, we use the distributed applications of local relabelling rules to automatically display the execution of the whole distributed algorithm. We have developed a Java prototype tool for implementing and visualizing distributed algorithms. We illustrate the different aspects of our framework using various distributed algorithms including election and spanning trees.  相似文献
