This paper introduces a speech encryption approach, which is based on permutation of speech segments using chaotic Baker map and substitution using masks in both time and transform domains. Two parameters are extracted from the main key used in the generation of mask. Either the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) or the Discrete Sine Transform (DST) can be used in the proposed cryptosystem to remove the residual intelligibility resulting from permutation and masking in time domain. Substitution with Masks is used in this cryptosystem to fill the silent periods within speech conversation and destroy format and pitch information. Permutation with chaotic Baker map is used in to maximize the benefits of the permutation process in encryption by using large-size blocks to allow more audio segments to be permutated. The proposed cryptosystem has a low complexity, small delay, and high degree of security. Simulation results prove that the proposed cryptosystem is robust to the presence of noise.  相似文献

In this paper, blind adaptive multiuser detection (MUD) technique is developed for uplink transmission in multiuser space diversity DS-CDMA system to overcome multipath fading effect and multiple access interference. The system consists of a space diversity, a precombining blind adaptive detector (PBAD), and a weight adaptation technique based on the minimization of the mean output energy (MOE). The bit error rate (BER) performance of this receiver for asynchronous DS-CDMA signals with independent and correlated antenna branches under Nakagami fading channel for BPSK system is evaluated. It has been seen that the use of antenna diversity can yield substantial improvement in performance even if the correlation between the antenna elements is relatively large (up to 0.795). However, the large correlation values pose a significant reduction in the diversity gain in comparison with the zero correlation situation. It has also been confirmed by simulations that the PBAD provides a significant receiver performance in comparison with the RAKE receiver employing antenna diversity. Khodr A. This paper introduces an innovative methodology for estimating the ageing of asphalt concrete cores without extracting the binder. Asphalt concrete samples at different ageing stages (unaged, 3-month and 6-month aged) and with different percent air voids (4%, 7% and 10%) were analysed with low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The transverse relaxation time T2 and relative hydrogen index (RHI) obtained from NMR measurements were related to the viscosity of the asphalt binder. The samples were analysed during cooling from 70°C to room temperature, showing increase in viscosity with decreasing temperature. There was a clear trend indicating higher viscosities in samples that were aged for a longer period and samples with higher percent air voids. The RHI and T2 values obtained from low-field NMR measurements and the viscosity data calculated from measurements using a dynamic shear rheometer were correlated to develop a model that relates viscosity with RHI.  相似文献

In this paper, a multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) downlink mobile communication system employing pre-rake and dual transmit diversity is proposed. It combines high spectral efficiency with an immunity to channel dispersion and fading. It also ensures small size, cost and power consumption of the terminal. Theoretical and simulation results for the system under consideration are obtained. Depicted results show appreciable improvements of the proposed system over those previously known.Emad K. Mobile payment is an attractive option that has recently boomed because of the advent of smart phones and their applications. Despite the great potential of such technology in simplifying our lives, its uptake remains limited. As the technology acceptance fails to meet expectations, this study aims at providing a better understanding of the factors influencing mobile payment acceptance. Through an empirical investigation that couples the traditional technology acceptance factors with “network externalities” effect. This study hypothesized that performance expectancy, effort expectancy; social influence, trust, and network externality are major factors that influence the intention to use mobile payment. Results indicated that while the traditional acceptance drivers still impact customers’ willingness to adopt mobile payment, network externalities was the most influential driver of mobile payment acceptance. Results also failed to support the influence of effort expectancy. Conclusions and future work propositions are stated at the end.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the performance of the continuous phase modulation (CPM)‐based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CPM‐OFDM) system. Also, we propose a CPM‐based single‐carrier frequency domain equalization (CPM‐SC‐FDE) structure for broadband wireless communication systems. The proposed structure combines the advantages of the low complexity of SC‐FDE, in addition to exploiting the channel frequency diversity and the power efficiency of CPM. Both the CPM‐OFDM system and the proposed system are implemented with FDE to avoid the complexity of the equalization. Two types of frequency domain equalizers are considered and compared for performance evaluation of both systems; the zero forcing (ZF) equalizer and the minimum mean square error (MMSE) equalizer. Simulation experiments are performed for a variety of multipath fading channels. Simulation results show that the performance of the CPM‐based systems with multipath fading is better than their performance with single path fading. The performance over a multipath channel is at least 5 and 12 dB better than the performance over a single path channel, for the CPM‐OFDM system and the proposed CPM‐SC‐FDE system, respectively. The results also show that, when CPM is utilized in SC‐FDE systems, they can outperform CPM‐OFDM systems by about 5 dB. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
