The aim of this study was to evaluate the bond strength of a universal adhesive system to dentin prepared with SiC paper or an Er,Cr:YSGG laser using different bonding strategies (etch-and-rinse versus self-etch mode). Ninety-six extracted caries-free, sound human molars were used. The teeth were longitudinally sectioned in the mesiodistal direction and were wet polished with 600-grit SiC paper to obtain a standardized flat dentin surface. All prepared teeth were randomly divided into two groups, according to the surface preparation method: GroupI:an erbium, chromium:yttrium,scandium, gallium, garnet laser; Group II: silicon carbide paper[SiC] (n = 48). Each group was then assigned into three subgroups according to the universal adhesive’s (Single Bond Universal) bonding strategies: (a) etch-and-rinse mode with phosphoric acid, (b) etch-and-rinse mode with a laser, (c) self-etch mode (n = 16). For surface preparation, the Er,Cr:YSGG laser was used at 3 W, 30 Hz with 140 μs pulse duration for 25 s. For etching mode, the laser was used at 1.5 W (60% air, 70% water). Cylinders of composite were fabricated on the bonding area and shear bond strength was determined using a universal testing machine. Failure modes were evaluated using a stereomicroscope. The data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA followed by the Bonferroni test (p < 0.05). Bonding strategies showed statistically significant differences in both the SiC-and laser-prepared groups (p < 0.05).Universal adhesive used in etch-and-rinse mode with acid showed significantly higher bond strength values than in self-etch mode (p < 0.05). The bond strength values did not differ according to the surface preparation method (p > 0.05). Irrespective of preparation method, using universal adhesive in etch-and-rinse mode with acid might improve dentin bond strength. Quick User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Internet Connections (QUIC) is an experimental and low‐latency transport protocol proposed by Google, which is still being improved and specified in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The viewer's quality of experience (QoE) in HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS) applications may be improved with the help of QUIC's low‐latency, improved congestion control, and multiplexing features. We measured the streaming performance of QUIC on wireless and cellular networks in order to understand whether the problems that occur when running HTTP over TCP can be reduced by using HTTP over QUIC. The performance of QUIC was tested in the presence of network interface changes caused by the mobility of the viewer. We observed that QUIC resulted in quicker start of media streams, better streaming, and seeking experience, especially during the higher levels of congestion in the network and had a better performance than TCP when the viewer was mobile and switched between the wireless networks. Furthermore, we measured QUIC's performance in an emulated network that had a various amount of losses and delays to evaluate how QUIC's multiplexing feature would be beneficial for HAS applications. We compared the performance of HAS applications using multiplexing video streams with HTTP/1.1 over multiple TCP connections to HTTP/2 over one TCP connection and to QUIC over one UDP connection. To that effect, we observed that QUIC provided better performance than TCP on a network that had large delays. However, QUIC did not provide a significant improvement when the loss rate was large. Finally, we analyzed the performance of the congestion control mechanisms implemented by QUIC and TCP, and tested their ability to provide fairness among streaming clients. Using genetic algorithm (GA), optimal wavelets are obtained to reduce ISI and ICI powers of a wavelet‐based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system over a practical two path low‐voltage powerline channel or two path fading channel by relaxing the perfect quadrate mirror filter (QMF) orthogonality. The biogenic amine content of beers available in Turkey, both domestic production and imported products, was investigated. A total of 17 domestic and 13 imported beers were evaluated in terms of 8 different biogenic amines (histamine, tyramine, spermine, spermidine, 2‐phenylethylamine, putrescine, tryptamine and cadaverine). HPLC methodology with pre‐column derivatization and photodiode array detection after derivatization with dansyl chloride was used for quantification. In addition, the evolution of important amines such as histamine, tyramine, putrescine and cadaverine were investigated during different storage conditions by response surface methodology. The results indicated that both storage temperature and storage time were important factors affecting biogenic amine content. Histamine and putrescine increased during storage, but then decreased after reaching a maximum level after six weeks. With the biogenic amines tyramine and cadaverine, the amounts increased during the entire storage period. At higher storage temperatures, the formation of biogenic amines increased. 相似文献

This paper describes a thyristorized static switch which is designed and implemented specifically for frequent direct-on-line starting of medium voltage large induction motors. The circuit configuration chosen utilizes back-to-back connected series thyristor strings on two of the supply lines. Both the starting current and the torque pulsations of the induction motor are minimized by a controlled, nonsimultaneous switching of motor phases to the supply. This reduces the electrical stresses on the power system and the mechanical stresses on the shaft as compared to conventional switching elements. The optimum switching strategy is found by the use of a hybrid mathematical model in ABC/dqO form. The validity of the results obtained for medium voltage, squirrel-cage induction machine are verified by the use of a physical simulator consisting of a low voltage, small induction machine and a shaft torque measuring system. When wireless sensors are used to keep an area under surveillance, a critical issue is the quality of the deployment from the sensing coverage viewpoint. In this paper, we propose several quality measures, which indicate if the deployment provides sufficient coverage, or whether redeployment is required or not. The terrain is modeled as a grid and the placement of the sensors is uniformly distributed. Honey samples, collected from the Southern Marmara region of Turkey, were analysed for erythromycin residues by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry using electrospray ionization in the positive ion mode (LC–ESI–MS). Fifty samples, comprising chestnut, pine, linden and multi-flower honeys, were collected directly from hives and analyzed. The limit of detection and quantification were 6 and 20 ng g?1, respectively, and recovery ranged from 85 to 89%. Four of the honey samples (8%) were found to be contaminated with erythromycin residues at concentrations ranging from 50 to 1776 ng g?1. An erythromycin-fortified cake feeding assay was also performed in a defined hive to test the transfer of erythromycin residue to the honey matrix. In this test hive, the residue level in the honey, 3 months after dosing, was approximately 28 ng g?1. 相似文献

A stereoselective and sensitive method for the determination of the enantiomers of felodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist, has been developed and the pharmacokinetic profiles of the enantiomers comparatively studied after oral administration to dogs and humans. D6-Felodipine, the internal standard, was added to the plasma, extracted with a solvent and then optically resolved into S(-) and R(+) enantiomers on a high performance liquid chromatographic Chiralcel OJ column. Each enantiomer in the effluent was analysed by capillary column gas chromatography/positive ion electron impact mass spectrometry. After oral administration of the felodipine racemate, the Tmax and t1/2 values hardly differed between the two enantiomers in dogs and humans. The Cmax and AUC0-24 h values of the S(-) enantiomer were slightly higher than those of the R(+) enantiomer in humans but the difference between the enantiomers was not significant. These results suggested that there is no large difference in the absorption, distribution and elimination of felodipine enantiomers after oral administration of the racemate in either dog or human. 相似文献
