The research work reported in this paper is an investigation of the behavior of barium titanate powders under selective laser irradiation. Our goal is to determine suitable conditions to sinter the powders and form dense layers usable in some electronic components. On that purpose, compacts of micro/nano BaTiO3 powder mixes are used for a parametric investigation of the laser scans parameters (power, speed, etc.) with a Nd-YVO4 laser (23 W). The microstructures obtained after laser treatments are evaluated by XRD, SEM and EDS and compared to a reference specimen manufactured in a conventional way. From this work it can be concluded that a high laser beam power is required to obtain a consolidation of the powder grains and the use of a high scan speed avoids the melting. The scanning speed also influences the final crystallographic state of BaTiO3. Optimal parameters were founded in order to form a dense and homogeneous tetragonal BaTiO3 surface.  相似文献

Two functionalized polypyrrole films, poly(11-N-pyrrolylundecanoic) acid and poly(N-undecylpyrrole), were used as sensitive layers for pH sensors. The functionalized pyrrole monomers were first synthesized before carrying out their electropolymerization onto non-oxidizable electrodes. The deposits were characterized by SEM imaging, XPS and PM-IRRAS to study surface structure and composition. Poly(11-N-pyrrolylundecanoic) acid coating yielded very promising results as sensitive layer in pH sensors. Indeed, the potentiometric responses from pH 4.0 to 9.0 appeared linear, reversible, stable in time over a period of 1 month and highly selective for H+ ions. This behavior was attributed to carboxylic acid groups which are sensitive to proton concentration changes. This was confirmed by the fact that poly(N-undecylpyrrole) film led to potentiometric responses being pH dependent only from pH 6.0 to 9.0 with low sensitivity. Poly(11-N-pyrrolylundecanoic) acid is thus promoted to be used as sensitive layer in pH sensors.  相似文献

This paper presents electrochemical synthesis of polypyrrole films under high frequency sonication. The films are characterized in terms of adhesion and surface morphology. Comparison to classical electrosynthesized polypyrrole films is made. In particular, the use of high frequency sonication (500 kHz) during electrodeposition of polypyrrole on Si was reported for the first time. Chronocoulometry was used for polymer films electrosynthesis on Si substrates. Influence of polymer thickness on the rugosity, morphology and adhesion force properties was studied. Scanning Electron Microscopy and mechanical probe profiling showed that sonication led to less rough and more homogeneous surface structure. Adhesion force properties of polypyrrole films were also studied by means of force–distance curves obtained by atomic force microscopy. For polymer films obtained in the absence of sonication, adhesion forces decreases with increase in polymer thickness. On the contrary, for polymer films obtained under sonication, the adhesion of the films decreased when the polymer thickness decreased.  相似文献

The objective of this project was to study the interaction between HR1 and HR2, the stability of the complex formed, and to characterize the antibodies produced against monomeric HR1 and HR2 peptides as well as the HR1-HR2 complex. In this work, HR1 was mimicked by peptide N36, and HR2 was mimicked by peptide C34L and its analogues C34M2, C34M3, and C34D. Whereas C34M2 and C34M3 are partially composed of D-amino acids, C34D has same sequence as C34L, but is assembled entirely of D-amino acids. Using CD analysis, SPR assays, and gel filtration chromatography, we demonstrate the physical interaction between N36 and C34L and its analogues C34M2 and C34M3, but not C34D. We show that the HR1-HR2 complex is formed rapidly (<1?min) and remains stable, as demonstrated by its inability, in contrast to each free peptide, to inhibit the formation of syncytia. To generate antibodies with predetermined specificity against the transiently exposed intermediate that corresponds to the six-helix bundle structure, purified preformed HR1-HR2 complex was used, in parallel with monomeric HR1 and HR2 peptides, as immunogens in mice. Although the produced antibodies recognize total HIV-1 envelope glycoproteins in ELISA, they are unable to neutralize HIV-1-mediated fusion at 37?°C. However, if the incubation with these antibodies is carried out at 27?°C, a temperature that allows stabilization of the transient intermediate complex, anti-peptide antibodies are able to bind their corresponding domains in HeLa cells expressing HIV-1 gp41 in co-culture with HeLa CD4-CCR5/CXCR4 during the dynamic mechanism of membrane fusion. In agreement with the latter results, these antibodies, if previously incubated for 2?h at 27?°C, are able to strongly neutralize HIV-1 entry by membrane fusion, as shown by their ability to block the formation of syncytia.  相似文献

Abstract  

CuI reacts instantaneously with butanedithiol in MeCN solution to form a sparingly soluble and thermally stable colorless polymeric material 1 of composition [(Cu2I2){HS(CH2)4SH}] n . Raman and IR spectroscopy confirm the presence of Cu(I) bound S–H functions. Furthermore, small amounts of the yellow compound [{Cu(μ2-I)2Cu}(C4H8S2)2] n 2 co-crystallize after several days. If the reaction mixture is exposed to air, polymeric 2 is isolated as the main product. An X-ray diffraction study reveals that 1D polymer 2 is assembled by rhomboid Cu(μ2-I)2Cu clusters (d Cu···Cu 2.6843(18) ?), which are linked through the S-atoms of six-membered 1,2-dithian heterocycles, thus generating an infinite ribbon. The low-frequency region in the Raman spectra show a striking similarity suggesting that polymers 1 and 2 bear the same cluster rhomboid Cu(μ2-I)2Cu clusters. The photophysics and luminescence properties of 2 have been studied experimentally and by means of DFT/TDDFT calculations.  相似文献

The heights equivalent to a theoretical plate of a weakly and strongly retained compounds were measured on two packed columns having different average mesopore sizes. The measurements were carried out in two different cases, with access to the mesopores by the sample molecules blocked (filled with n‐nonane) or not. The experimental results demonstrate that the eddy dispersion terms of both columns are significantly smaller for porous than for nonporous particles. Two simultaneous phenomena explain this observation. First, packed columns are radially heterogeneous which causes significant trans‐column velocity biases warping the bands. Second, radial dispersion contributes to mass transfer across the column, relaxing the radial concentration gradients that are caused by these velocity biases. The impact of these biases is minimized when the pores of the particles are not blocked; it decreases with increasing residence time and radial dispersion coefficient of the solutes. © 2009 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 2009  相似文献

Vascular dysfunction in cardiovascular diseases includes vasomotor response impairments, endothelial cells (ECs) activation, and smooth muscle cells (SMCs) proliferation and migration to the intima. This results in intimal hyperplasia and vessel failure. We previously reported that activation of the P2Y11 receptor (P2Y11R) in human dendritic cells, cardiofibroblasts and cardiomyocytes was protective against hypoxia/reoxygenation (HR) lesions. In this study, we investigated the role of P2Y11R signaling in vascular dysfunction. P2Y11R activity was modulated using its pharmacological agonist NF546 and antagonist NF340. Rat aortic rings were exposed to angiotensin II (AngII) and evaluated for their vasomotor response. The P2Y11R agonist NF546 reduced AngII-induced vascular dysfunction by promoting EC-dependent vasorelaxation, through an increased nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability and reduced AngII-induced H2O2 release; these effects were prevented by the use of the P2Y11R antagonist NF340. Human vascular SMCs and ECs were subjected to AngII or H/R simulation in vitro. P2Y11R agonist modulated vasoactive factors in human ECs, that is, endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and endothelin-1, reduced SMC proliferation and prevented the switch towards a synthetic phenotype. H/R and AngII increased ECs secretome-induced SMC proliferation, an effect prevented by P2Y11R activation. Thus, our data suggest that P2Y11R activation may protect blood vessels from HR-/AngII-induced injury and reduce vascular dysfunctions. These results open the way for new vasculoprotective interventions.  相似文献

The effect of spherulitic crystallization on the elastic moduli and fracture toughness of a barium aluminum silicate glass was investigated. The crystallization process results in Ba2Si3O8 phase and is initiated from Ba rich nuclei. Nucleation is optimal in the 690-720 °C interval. Young’s modulus is increased by 12.5% when the glass-ceramic conversion is nearly complete. Nevertheless, as the size and the volume fraction of crystals are increased, some microcracking shows up upon cooling from the crystallization temperature. An optimal improvement of the fracture toughness (SEPB method) by 27 % is observed for a 49 % volume fraction of 5 to 10 μm large spherulites.  相似文献

Proxies and measurement techniques for mineral dust in Antarctic ice cores   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
To improve quantitative interpretation of ice core aeolian dust records, a systematic methodological comparison was made. This involved methods for water-insoluble particle counting (Coulter counter and laser-sensing particle detector), soluble ion analysis (ion chromatography and continuous flow analysis), elemental analysis (inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy at pH 1 and after full acid digestion), and water-insoluble elemental analysis (proton induced X-ray emission). Antarctic ice core samples covering the last deglaciation from the EPICA Dome C (EDC) and the EPICA Dronning Maud Land (EDML) cores were used. All methods correlate very well among each other, but the ratios of glacial age to Holocene concentrations, which are typically a factor approximately 100, differ between the methods by up to a factor of 2 with insoluble particles showing the largest variability. The recovery of ICP-MS measurements depends on the digestion method and is differentfor different elements and during different climatic periods. EDC and EDML samples have similar dust composition, which suggests a common dust source or a common mixture of sources for the two sites. The analyzed samples further reveal a change of dust composition during the last deglaciation.  相似文献

Polysaccharides isolated in the alcohol-insoluble residues (AIR) from cherimoya (Annona cherimola Mill.) were characterised for contents of soluble pectin, cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin, and the distribution of neutral sugars and uronides in water-soluble pectin (WSP) and water-insoluble AIR (WAIR) fractions. For WSP, the predominant neutral sugar was arabinose and, for WAIR, cellulosic glucose and xylose. Two enzyme preparations were tested for their capacity to release neutral sugars and uronides from WAIR. The optimal incubation temperature (45 °C) and the most effective preparation—rich in pectinase, cellulase and xylanase activities—were selected according to a central composite rotatable design (CCRD). Enzyme was also applied to native cherimoya purée according to another CCRD, varying the enzyme concentration and incubation time. Native purée exhibited strong shear-thinning behaviour with high, extrapolated, yield stress. During enzymatic treatment, behaviour was less shear thinning, and yield stress, consistency index and Bostwick consistency tended to decrease, giving rise to purées of different rheological properties.  相似文献
