Although traditional approaches to code profiling help locate performance bottlenecks, they offer only limited support for removing these bottlenecks. The main reason is the lack of detailed visual runtime information to identify and eliminate computation redundancy. We provide three profiling blueprints that help identify and remove performance bottlenecks. The structural distribution blueprint graphically represents the CPU consumption share for each method and class of an application. The behavioral distribution blueprint depicts the distribution of CPU consumption along method invocations and hints at method candidates for caching optimizations. The behavioral evolution blueprint compares profiles of different versions of a software system and highlights performance‐critical changes in the system. These three blueprints helped us to significantly optimize Mondrian, an open source visualization engine. The effect of thermal profile on microstructure is studied in the frame of thin films deposited by inkjet-printing technology. The role of sintering temperature and thermal ramp is particularly investigated. Fast heating ramps exhibit coarse grains and pores, especially when a hybrid microwave curing is performed. This enhanced growth is attributed to the quick activation of densifying sintering regimes without undergoing thermal energy loss at low temperature. Microstructural evolution of various sintered inkjet-printed films is correlated with electrical resistivity and with the Young’s modulus determined by nanoindentation. A strong link between those three parameters is highlighted during experiments giving credit to either a surface or a fully volumetric sintering, according to the process. Sintering is then mainly triggered by surface mass transfer or by grain boundary diffusion. Silver thin films with an electrical resistivity 4–5 times higher than the bulk, has been reached in a few minutes with a Young’s modulus of 38?GPa.  相似文献

We introduce a new technique called Implicit Brushes to render animated 3D scenes with stylized lines in realtime with temporal coherence. An Implicit Brush is defined at a given pixel by the convolution of a brush footprint along a feature skeleton; the skeleton itself is obtained by locating surface features in the pixel neighborhood. Features are identified via image‐space fitting techniques that not only extract their location, but also their profile, which permits to distinguish between sharp and smooth features. Profile parameters are then mapped to stylistic parameters such as brush orientation, size or opacity to give rise to a wide range of line‐based styles.  相似文献

We demonstrate a method to fabricate a high-aspect ratio metal tip attached to microfabricated cantilevers with controlled angle, length, and radius, for use in electrostatic force microscopy. A metal wire, after gluing it into a guiding slot that is cut into the cantilever, is shaped into a long, thin tip using a focused ion beam. The high-aspect ratio results in considerable reduction of the capacitive force between tip body and sample when compared to a metal coated pyramidal tip.  相似文献

研发了一种新型短程硝化反硝化工艺——ANITATMShunt,它通过特殊的自控系统来控制N2O的释放。采用500 L的SBR中试装置处理消化污泥脱水上清液,经过18个月的稳定运行表明:通过短程硝化反硝化途径可以实现90%的脱氮率,并且释放的N2O不足总脱氮量的0.7%。将通过pH值、温度和在线监测的NO-2-N浓度实时计算的亚硝酸浓度与亚硝酸浓度设定值进行比对,以便对曝气过程进行调控,从而抑制了N2O的释放并实现了对SBR短程硝化反硝化工艺的自动控制。同时证实了在低溶解氧条件下,由氨氧化菌(AOB)在短程硝化反硝化过程中产生的N2O并非与高亚硝酸盐浓度有直接关系,而是与游离亚硝酸浓度有关。  相似文献

Escherichia coli O157 strains have emerged as important human enteric pathogens. Strains that express the O-antigen 157 are commonly associated with severe clinical manifestations, including bloody diarrhea, hemorrhagic colitis, and hemolytic uremic syndrome. E. coli O157 strains may be transmitted in a variety of ways, including food, water and person-to-person or animal-to-person contact. Fecal contamination is one source of environmental contamination and is responsible for the presence of these pathogens in the environment. We used a specific and sensitive PCR assay based on the rfbE gene to detect low levels of these pathogens in wastewater. The set of primers used was designed to amplify an intragenic segment of the rfbE gene. The amplification assay detected 200 CFU of E. coli O157 in pure water. The prevalence of E. coli O157 in the effluents of 44 wastewater treatment plants was determined (7%).  相似文献

This paper presents a newly developed method to estimate, in magnetic resonance (MR) images, the temperatures reached within the volume of an iceball produced by a cryogenic probe. Building on the direct measurements of the MR signal intensity and its correlation with independent temperature variations at the phase transition from liquid to solid, the thermal information embedded in the images was accessed. The volume and diameter of the growing iceball were estimated from a time series of MR images. Using regressions over the volume in the time and thermal domains, this method predicted the cryogenic temperatures beyond the range of sensitivity of the MR signal itself. We present a validation of this method in samples of gelatin and ex vivo pig liver. Temperature predictions are shown to agree with independent thermosensor readings over a range extending from 20 degrees C down to -65 degrees C, with an average error of less than 6 degrees C.  相似文献

Solvent additives provide an effective means to alter the morphology and thereby improve the performance of organic bulk‐heterojunction photovoltaics, although guidelines for selecting an appropriate solvent additive remain relatively unclear. Here, a family of solvent additives spanning a wide range of Hansen solubility parameters is applied to a molecular bulk‐heterojunction system consisting of an isoindigo and thiophene containing oligomer as the electron donor and [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PC61BM) as the electron acceptor. Hansen solubility parameters are calculated using the group contribution method and compared with the measured solubilities for use as a screening method in solvent additive selection. The additives are shown to alter the morphologies in a semipredictable manner, with the poorer solvents generally resulting in decreased domain sizes, increased hole mobilities, and improved photovoltaic performance. The additives with larger hydrogen bonding parameters, namely triethylene glycol (TEG) and N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP), are demonstrated to increase the open circuit voltage by ~0.2 V. Combining a solvent additive observed to increase short circuit current, poly(dimethylsiloxane), with TEG results in an increase in power conversion efficiency from 1.4 to 3.3%.  相似文献
