Collaboration is a key requirement in several contemporary interventional radiology procedures (IRPs). This work proposes a multicast hybrid satellite system capable of supporting advanced IRP collaboration, and evaluates its feasibility and applicability. Following a detailed IRP requirements study, we have developed a system which supports IRP collaboration through the employment of a hybrid satellite-terrestrial network, a prototype multicast version of wavelet based interactive communication system (WinVicos) application, and a partition aggregation and conditional coding (PACC) wavelet codec. A semistructured questionnaire was also used to receive evaluative feedback from collaborating participants. The departments of interventional radiology of University Hospital of Patras, Greece and of Charite Hospital of Berlin, Germany have been connected on the system. Eight interventional radiologists and a vascular surgeon participated periodically in three satellite-terrestrial "fully collaborative" IRPs (average time 90 min) of high complexity and in four terrestrial educational sessions with great success, evidenced by considerable improving the IRP outcomes (clinical and educational). In case of high complexity, where the simultaneous presence of remote interventional expert and/or surgeon is required, advanced collaboration among staff of geographically dispersed international centers is feasible via integration of existing networking and other technologies.  相似文献

Homogeneous and transparent BaTiO3 thin films were prepared by sol–gel dip coating method. The prepared BaTiO3 thin films were annealed in air and O2 atmosphere at different temperatures. The annealed BaTiO3 thin films were amorphous in nature. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed the nucleation and particle growth on the films. Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis data revealed the adsorption of oxygen atoms in the BaTiO3 film. The direct energy band gap was found to vary (3.84–3.58 eV) as functions of annealing atmosphere and temperature. Photoluminescence (PL) revealed intense emission peaks at 393 and 675 nm. Quenching of PL intensity was observed in films annealed at high temperature and in O2 atmosphere. This is due to reduction in the oxygen vacancy by the adsorption of oxygen in the film. Luminescence spectra also have been related to the results obtained by SEM and EDX analysis. The change in luminescence intensity of BaTiO3 thin films makes it suitable for optoelectronic temperature sensor applications.  相似文献

Cystine-capped CdSe@ZnS nanocomposites were synthesized mechanochemically with the aim to prepare a material which could be used in medicine for biosensing applications. Although synthesized CdSe@ZnS nanocomposites were capped with l-cysteine, cystine was formed from l-cysteine during the milling process. It was proven that water plays the key role in this oxidative transformation. The novel material was characterized by the complex of physico-chemical methods (FTIR, XPS, SEM, EDX, surface area measurements) and CHNS analysis. The leakage of Cd2+ and Zn2+ ions into physiological solution was also studied.  相似文献

Laboratory-based bidirectional reflectance distribution functions (BRDFs) of radiometric tarp samples used in the vicarious calibration of Earth remote sensing satellite instruments are presented in this paper. The results illustrate the BRDF dependence on the orientation of the tarps' weft and warp threads. The study was performed using the GSFC scatterometer at incident zenith angles of 0 degrees, 10 degrees, and 30 degrees; scatter zenith angles from 0 degrees to 60 degrees; and scatter azimuth angles of 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees, and 180 degrees. The wavelengths were 485 nm, 550 nm, 633 nm, and 800 nm. The tarp's weft and warp dependence on BRDF is well defined at all measurement geometries and wavelengths. The BRDF difference can be as high as 8% at 0 degrees incident angle and 12% at 30 degrees incident angle. The fitted BRDF data show a very small discrepancy from the measured ones. New data on the forward and backscatter properties of radiometric tarps are reported. The backward scatter is well pronounced for the white samples. The black sample has well-pronounced forward scatter. The provided BRDF characterization of radiometric tarps is an excellent reference for anyone interested in using tarps for radiometric calibrations. The results are NIST traceable.  相似文献

A new approach for the synthesis of chemically stabilized β-cristobalite-like glass-ceramic materials is developed. It is based on an activated reaction sinter-crystallization process of compacted powder mixtures at relatively low temperatures (1400–1450°C) and short heat treatment times. To facilitate homogeneous dopant distribution and thus the formation of a high content of βx-cristobalite-like phases, possessing a very low thermal expansion coefficient, the batch components are introduced in a chemically, mechanically, or thermally preactivated form. In this way, the high-temperature glass premelting usually employed in the “classical” synthesis of glass-ceramics is avoided. Using different, mutually complementary techniques of analysis it is revealed that optimal refractory properties are achieved with glass-ceramics containing αx- and βx-cristobalite solid solutions with close values of the lattice parameters. In this case, the transformation between these two cristobalite-like solid solutions proceeds instead by a first-order displacive transition, by a process exhibiting features characteristic for both a suppressed first-order phase change and a second-order λ-type phase transitions. The refractory properties of the glass-ceramic materials thus synthesized and the possibility to use various forming techniques open many fields for their application.  相似文献

Interactions of metal particles with oxide supports can radically enhance the performance of supported catalysts. At the microscopic level, the details of such metal-oxide interactions usually remain obscure. This study identifies two types of oxidative metal-oxide interaction on well-defined models of technologically important Pt-ceria catalysts: (1) electron transfer from the Pt nanoparticle to the support, and (2) oxygen transfer from ceria to Pt. The electron transfer is favourable on ceria supports, irrespective of their morphology. Remarkably, the oxygen transfer is shown to require the presence of nanostructured ceria in close contact with Pt and, thus, is inherently a nanoscale effect. Our findings enable us to detail the formation mechanism of the catalytically indispensable Pt-O species on ceria and to elucidate the extraordinary structure-activity dependence of ceria-based catalysts in general.  相似文献

Uplink power control is used in 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems to maximize the power of the desired received signals while limiting the interference. This paper analyzes two power control mechanisms, Fractional Power Control (FPC) and Interference Based Power Control (IBPC). A way of combining them is proposed in order to find an efficient algorithm to control the transmitted Power Spectral Density (PSD) in order to compensate poor channel conditions and thus to obtain better performance in terms of cell edge throughput.  相似文献
