Cell formation consists in organizing a plant as a set of cells, each of them containing machines that process similar types or families of parts. The idea is to minimize the part flow among cells in order to reduce costs and increase productivity. The literature presents different approaches devoted to solve this problem, which are mainly based on mathematical programming and on evolutionary computing. Mathematical programming can guarantee a global optimal solution, however at a higher computational cost than an evolutionary algorithm, which can assure a good enough optimum in a fixed amount of time. In this paper, we model and solve this problem by using state-of-the-art constraint programming (CP) techniques and Boolean satisfiability (SAT) technology. We present different experimental results that demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed optimization models. Indeed, CP and SAT implementations are able to reach the global optima in all tested instances and in competitive runtime. 相似文献

In this study, an experimental study was carried out to examine the effect of different clearances on smooth-sheared depth, burr height and blanking force. Aluminium sheet metals with 0.8, 1, and 1.5 mm thicknesses were used in the experiments. These experiments were carried out in circular blanking dies to 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm diameters. Six different clearances (0.009, 0.064, 0.12, 0.175, 0.231 and 0.287 mm) were used for every material and diameter. The results of the experiment show that burr, smooth-sheared and punch force is strongly related to the clearance value. The results are in agreement with the results of previous theoretical and experimental work in the literature. 相似文献

Combining implicit polynomials and algebraic invariants for representing and recognizing complicated objects proves to be a powerful technique. In this paper, we explore the findings of the classical theory of invariants for the calculation of algebraic invariants of implicit curves and surfaces, a theory largely disregarded in the computer vision community by a shadow of skepticism. Here, the symbolic method of the classical theory is described, and its results are extended and implemented as an algorithm for computing algebraic invariants of projective, affine, and Euclidean transformations. A list of some affine invariants of 4th degree implicit polynomials generated by the proposed algorithm is presented along with the corresponding symbolic representations, and their use in recognizing objects represented by implicit polynomials is illustrated through experiments. In this paper, a blind maximum‐likelihood channel estimation algorithm is developed for quadrature partial response‐trellis coded modulated (QPR‐TCM) signals propagating through a Rician fading environment. A hidden Markov model (HMM) formulation of the problem is introduced and the Baum–Welch parameter estimation algorithm is modified to provide a computationally efficient solution to the resulting optimization problem. Performance analysis of the proposed method is carried out through the evaluation of bit‐error probability upper bound for Rician fading channels. Also, some illustrative simulations are presented. In this paper, a new joint multilevel data encryption and channel coding mechanism is proposed, which is called ??multilevel/advanced encryption standard?Csystematic distance 4?Ccontinuous phase frequency shift keying?? (ML/AES-SD4-CPFSK). In the proposed scheme, we have not only taken advantage of spatial diversity gains but also optimally allocated energy and bandwidth resources among sensor nodes as well as providing high level of security and error protection for cooperative communications in wireless sensor networks. Relay protocols of cooperative communications, such as amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward with/without adversary nodes, have been studied for 4CPFSK, 8CPFSK, and 16CPFSK of ML/AES-SD4-CPFSK. We have evaluated the error performances of multilevel AES for data encryption, multilevel SD-4 for channel coding, and various CPFSK types for modulation utilizing cooperative communications in wireless sensor networks. According to computer simulation results, significant diversity gain and coding gain have been achieved. As an example, bit error rate (BER) performance of 10?5 value has been obtained at a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of ?6?dB for SD-4-CPFSK scheme in a compared related journal paper, whereas in our proposed system, we have reached the same BER value at a SNR of ?23?dB with amplify-and-forward with direct path signal protocol in 16-level AES, two-level SD-4 coded 16CPFSK, and at the same time, we have reached the same BER value at a SNR of ?22?dB with amplify-and-forward without direct path signal protocol in 16-level AES, two-level SD-4 coded 16CPFSK. 相似文献

A nominal compositions of BiSrCaCuO (3:2:2:3), (2:2:2:3), (4:3:3:4), and BiPbGaSrCaCuO (3:0.5:2:2:3), (3:0.3:0.3:2:2:3) have been prepared by conventional melt-quenching method. The oxidation behaviors of samples prepared were analyzed using a thermogravimetric analyser, TGA. Total mass gains of samples, average oxidation rates and maximum oxidation rates were calculated separately. This study investigated episodic memory and metamemory for verbs and nouns in patients who have cognitive impairments associated with Parkinson’s disease (PD). PD patients and healthy control participants were asked to recall word pairs and provide feeling-of-knowing (FOK) judgments for the items they were unable to recall. This was followed by a 4-alternative recognition test. PD patients were impaired in both recall and recognition, compared with controls. In terms of metamemory, PD patients were less confident in their ability to recognize the unrecalled items in a future recognition test. Most important, accuracy of PD patients’ FOK judgments was not above chance and was lower than that of control participants. The PD group correctly recognized fewer verbs than nouns, but type of material (verb vs. noun) had no impact on recall or FOK judgments. The problem of part mating and assembly with close tolerances has been addressed in the past by active or passive compliance and by force/position control. With ambient sensor and transmission noise and with imprecise measurements it is often difficult to attain high precision in manipulator positioning. A compliant wrist position sensor with a fuzzy logic rule base was designed by the author to address this problem. A numerical investigation has been performed two-dimensional slot impingement onto two heated cylinders with different diameters turbulent flow conditions. Height of slot jet is taken as constant for all cases. The study is performed to see the effects of effective parameters on heat and fluid flow as jet Reynolds number (11,000 ≤ Re ≤ 20,000), diameter ratio of cylinders (0.5 ≤ D1/D2 ≤ 1.5) and ratio of distance between cylinders to slot jet high (L/S). Streamlines, isotherms, local and mean Nusselt numbers and Cd coefficient were obtained. These results were compared with earlier experimental and numerical works and good agreement was obtained.
