PIP3BP is a phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate-binding protein (PIP3BP) abundant in brain, containing a zinc finger motif and two pleckstrin homology (PH) domains. Staining of rat brain cells with anti-PIP3BP antibody and determination of localization of PIP3BP fused to the green fluorescent protein (GFP-PIP3BP) revealed that PIP3BP was targeted to the nucleus. Targeting was dependent on a putative nuclear localization signal in PIP3BP. Generation of PIP3 in the nucleus was detected in H2O2-treated 293T cells, nerve growth factor (NGF)-treated PC12 cells, and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-treated NIH 3T3 cells. Translocation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI 3-kinase) to the nucleus and enhanced activity of PI 3-kinase in the nucleus fraction were observed after H2O2 treatment of 293T cells, suggesting that PI 3-kinase can be activated in the nucleus as well as in the membrane after appropriate stimulation of the cells. Co-expression of the constitutively active PI 3-kinase with PIP3BP resulted in exportation of the protein from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, suggesting that PIP3BP can function as a PIP3-binding protein in the intact cells. This paper presents a three-dimensional (3-D)-model-based navigation system for endoscopic sinus surgery treating paranasal sinusitis. Endoscopic surgery is becoming more common because of its low invasiveness. Its problem with disorientation, however, is one of the toughest barriers for the novice and may lead even an expert to commit serious surgical errors, e.g., causing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage or blinding the patient. To prevent such complications and optimize training, the authors' system aids in navigation by showing a single perspective view of the patient and the endoscope models. This virtual endoscope has a viewing cone with a simulated light to indicate the viewing direction and visual field in real-time. The system's three clipping planes automatically follow the endoscope and help keep the surgeon aware of the endoscope's actual position. An experiment comparing the system to conventional navigation using a triplanar display showed that the perspective view was referenced very frequently, giving a positive impressions, while the triplanar display was almost completely ignored, apparently because it was too difficult to interpret immediately 相似文献

Voltage–reactive power control (VVC) on power systems becomes difficult when a load increases or decreases rapidly, especially in the morning and at noon. This is caused mainly by two problems. One is delayed operation and the other is noncooperative operation of facilities. To solve these problems, an advanced method and algorithms for a centralized feed-forwarding control system are presented. They are based on two main steps: forecasting the power system state for several minutes and dispatching reactive power sources optimally based on stepwise linear programming. The proposed method is evaluated and tested for data of a large-scale power system. Recently, expansion in the scale of power systems and development of localized power sources are leading to an increase in fault current of 500‐kV systems. In the future, it is quite likely that the fault current at the interconnection of such power systems may exceed the rated short‐time current of existing electric power facilities. As one of the solutions of this problem, a thyristor‐controlled series‐resonant‐type fault current limiter (FCL) is proposed to restrain the fault current. This paper deals with the FCL system configuration, the placement method of the FCL in power systems, the outline of the FCL's specification, and the operation method of the protective relay in the multimachine system. Finally, the effectiveness of the FCL is evaluated from the viewpoints of limiting the fault current by simulation analysis. Laminar vortex rolls which occur between horizontal parallel plates, of which the temperature is not uniform in the lateral direction normal to the forced main flow, are investigated by means of a flow-visualization technique and a 3D steady-state numerical calculation. It was found that the vortex rolls were driven by the horizontal gravity currents, which were caused by density difference in the lateral direction, and that the generation mechanism of the vortex rolls could be classified into four types. 在温和的条件下,制备了一系列以溴代1-丁基-3-甲基咪唑([Bmim]Br)为阳离子、不同金属氯化物为阴离子的离子液体,并考察了它们催化氨基甲酸甲酯和甲醇合成碳酸二甲酯(DMC)的性能;同时考察了反应时间、反应温度和催化剂用量对催化效果的影响,并探讨了可能的反应机理。实验结果表明,以[Bmim]Br-ZnCl2为催化剂,在反应温度170℃、反应时间8h、氨基甲酸甲酯7.5g、甲醇64g、催化剂用量2.0g的条件下,DMC的选择性和收率分别达到89.4%和24.4%。由于离子液体中阴阳离子间的极性和电子作用力比单纯的ZnCl2中阴阳离子的极性和电子作用力大很多,在催化过程中形成的中间体更稳定,所以与ZnCl2催化剂相比,[Bmim]Br-ZnCl2催化剂对于该反应具有更高的选择性。 相似文献

An attempt has been made to develop a cobalt base casting superalloy (30Cr-10Ni-7W-Co) having high creep rupture strength
and ductility for first stage nozzles of gas turbines. In cobalt base superalloys, there was found to exist a close correlation
between the creep rupture strength and MC type carbide forming elements such as Ti, Nb and Zr. In cobalt base alloys with
0.25 wt pct C, precipitation and coarsening of carbides can be reduced by addition of Ti, Nb and Zr. Therefore, by adding
the optimum amount of Ti, Nb and Zr, precipitation of carbides in the alloy reaches such an amount as to give the highest
creep rupture strength. Excess addition of Ti, Nb and Zr does not improve the creep rupture strength. By adding C, creep rupture
strength of the cobalt alloy with Ti, Nb and Zr can be improved and becomes the highest at 0.40 wt pct. C. According to the
experimental results, the creep rupture strength becomes the highest at a value of (Ti + Nb + Zr)/C (atomic ratio) of about
0.3. Contrary to the expectation, it was found in this experiment that the ductility in creep rupture tests increases with
