Hadron rejection against electron signal of a combined system of electromagnetic and hadron calorimeter has been studied. Data was taken at M4 beam line of Fermilab at energies from 25 GeV to 150 GeV. Hadron rejection of electromagnetic calorimeter is greatly improved by the use of hadron calorimeter information. A thin-film 3.14-mm×3.88-mm microtransformer has been fabricated, using photolithography technology, to support high-frequency switching regulators. The microtransformer is composed of sputtered amorphous magnetic layers, electroplated copper windings with 20-μm width, and insulator layers. The coupling factor between the primary and secondary windings of the microtransformer is 0.97 for f=3 MHz. An input-output voltage ratio of 0.95 at 15 MHz is obtained at no-load. Observation of the domain images under high-frequency excitation indicates that the magnetic anisotropy of the microtransformer films is induced by rotating magnetic field annealing so as to increase the output voltage  相似文献

Interleukin (IL)-18 was identified as a molecule that induces IFN-gamma production and enhances NK cell cytotoxicity. In this paper, we report upon the purification and characterization of human IL-18 receptor (hIL-18R). We selected the Hodgkin's disease cell line, L428, as the most strongly hIL-18R-expressing cell line based on the results of binding assays. This binding was inhibited by IL-18 but not by IL-1beta. The dissociation constant (Kd) of 125I-IL-18 binding to L428 cells was about 18.5 nM, with 18,000 binding sites/cell. After immunizing mice with L428 cells and cloning, a single monoclonal antibody (mAb) against hIL-18R was obtained (mAb 117-10C). Sequentially, hIL-18R was purified from 3-[(3-cholamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]-1-propanesulfonic acid (CHAPS)-extracted L428 cells by wheat germ lectin-Sepharose 4B chromatography and mAb 117-10C-Sepharose chromatography. The internal amino acid sequences of hIL-18R all matched those of human IL-1 receptor-related protein (IL-1Rrp), the ligand of which was unknown to date. When expressed in COS-1 cells, the cDNA of IL-1Rrp conferred IL-18 binding properties on the cells and the capacity for signal transduction. From these results, we conclude that a functional IL-18 receptor component is IL-1Rrp.  相似文献

In this paper we report on surface nitridation of SiO2 and on photoresist removal by using species decomposed from NH3 or H2 and generated by a heated tungsten catalyzer. The top surface of SiO2/Si(100) is nitrided at temperatures as low as 300 °C using species decomposed from NH3 species. The removal of heavy-doped, as high as 1×1016 cm−2, ion-implanted photoresist is realized using atomic hydrogen.  相似文献

STUDY DESIGN: This study investigated the effects of hypoxia and glucose on motor functions of spinal cord, monitoring ventral root motor-evoked potential in the in vitro cervical cord preparations. OBJECTIVE: To study ischemia-induced changes in ventral root motor-evoked potential of spinal cord. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: Previous studies demonstrated ischemic changes caused by local circulatory impairment might be a major pathophysiologic basis of neuron damage in cord compression. METHODS: Ventral root motor-evoked potential elicited by stimulation of ventrolateral funiculus was recorded from the ventral root in the isolated spinal cord preparations obtained from a newborn rat. The preparations were exposed to artificial cerebrospinal fluid equilibrated with severe or mild hypoxia for 90 minutes. Inhibitory and excitatory neurotransmitter antagonists were added to artificial cerebrospinal fluid to investigate synaptic transmission. The artificial cerebrospinal fluids containing various concentrations of glucose were used to study the glucose's effects. RESULTS: Ventral root motor-evoked potential consisted of the early and late components, which were excitatory transsynaptic potentials. The amplitudes were increased in the early phase of severe hypoxia and declined in the prolonged exposure. In mild hypoxia, there was a sustained increase of the amplitudes. The application of inhibitory neurotransmitter antagonists abolished the augmentation of the amplitudes in the early phase of severe hypoxia. Hypoxia without glucose accelerated hypoxic change. CONCLUSION: Inhibitory synaptic transmission was depressed preferentially in the early phase of severe hypoxia or in mild hypoxia. Excitatory and inhibitory transmissions were suppressed in prolonged severe hypoxia. Glucose deficiency aggravated hypoxic inhibition of synaptic transmissions.  相似文献

An amorphous, C-S-H-like phase with Ca/Si = 2 was synthesized from amorphous precipitated silica, calcium oxide, and water by mechanochemical treatment using a vibration mill at room temperature. The product was studied by XRD, 29Si MASNMR, TEM, analytical TEM, and TGA-DTA. After 14 h of treatment, the starting materials react to form an amorphous phase (C-S-H-like phase). The XRD pattern of C-S-H-like phase resembles the C-S-H formed hydrothermally or by cement hydration except it has no reflection at 0.182 nm. The 29Si NMR results revealed a silicate anion structure of C-S-H-like phase consisting mainly of a mixture of a monomer and a dimer. On heating, the C-S-H-like phase decomposed into β-dicalcium silicate below 1000°C.  相似文献

Continuous wavelet transform (CWT) is employed in the analysis of the pressure oscillation and the temperature oscillation in the film boiling of He II. The CWT analysis results provide the detailed time-varying frequency content, which can not be obtained in the ordinary Fourier transform. It can display the information about transient oscillatory behavior in both time and frequency domains, while Fourier transform only yields the time-averaged frequency content of the whole transient process. It could be understood from the CWT analysis results of the pressure oscillation and the temperature oscillation that the dominant frequency of the bubble oscillation is characterized by the highlighted patterns throughout the time domain. The dominant frequency varies locally in the time domain, which is directly connected with the vapor bubble behavior in the transient film boiling process.  相似文献

A phase II study of flutamide was conducted in 24 patients with stage III and IV ovarian cancer who failed chemotherapy and who had measurable disease. Flutamide was administered at a dose of 100 mg three times daily continuously until evidence of progression. Partial response observed in 1 of the 23 evaluable patients (4.3%) lasted 3 months. Two patients had stable disease (8.7%) for 7 and 8 months. The remaining 20 patients had progression of disease within 3 months. Toxicity was mild.  相似文献

In order to realize large-area, high-power devices with high-performance, low-temperature diffusion, bonding technology between Al electrodes on both cathode and anode sides of Si devices and Mo electrode foils has been investigated, The 100 mm diameter power devices and the same size Mo foils could be joined by the formation of Au-Al intermetallic compounds below 573 K. The compounds were formed by solid state diffusion with activation energy of about 1.0 eV. Substantial reduction of the mounting force while keeping uniform contact was possible after low-temperature bonding. Reliability of the bonded large area, high-power device was predicted to be sufficient from a metallurgical viewpoint  相似文献
