We have investigated the switching behavior of as-deposited CrO x and post-annealed CrO y films by use of a variety of electrodes (top electrode Ag, Ti; bottom electrode Pt, fluorine tin oxide (FTO)). Resistance switching is highly dependent on electrode material and post-annealing treatment. Among Pt devices, I–V hysteresis was observed for the Ag/CrO x /Pt device only; no resistance switching was observed for Ag/CrO y /Pt, Ti/CrO x /Pt, and Ti/CrO y /Pt devices. Among FTO devices, I–V hysteresis was observed for the Ag/CrO x /FTO device whereas I–V hysteresis with the opposite switching direction was observed for Ag/CrO y /FTO, Ti/CrO x /FTO, and Ti/CrO y /FTO devices. The direction of switching depends not only on electrode material but also on post-annealing treatment, which affects the density of grain boundaries. Thus, the density of grain boundaries determines the type of charge carrier involved in the switching process. For as-deposited CrO x films with a high density of grain boundaries Ag filament paths mediated by electrochemical redox reaction were observed, irrespective of bottom electrode material (Pt or FTO). Post-annealed CrO y films with a low density of grain boundaries suppressed electrochemical redox reaction in the Ag/CrO y /Pt device but promoted short-range movement of O2? ions through the bottom interface, resulting in resistance switching in the Ag/CrO y /FTO device. A novel, portable, electrical detection system was constructed for DNA sensor application to detect DNA hybridisation. The read-out circuit consists of an analogue circuit and a digital circuit. The analogue circuit with an IC MAX038 generates a sine wave with a constant frequency (10?kHz), which serves as the input for the DNA sensor. The DNA sensor consists of active and reference sensors. DNA hybridisation between the DNA probe and the target sequences causes changes in the conductance of the conductive membrane (DNA/MWCNTs) on the sensor surface, which lead to changes in the amplitude of the sine wave from the sensor output compared with that of the reference signal output (input sine wave). We used a digital circuit with a microprocessor (PIC33FJ256MC710) to determine the change in the amplitude of the sine wave signal of the sensor. From these digital data, the difference in the amplitudes of the active and reference sensors was calculated and displayed on the liquid crystal display. Measurement results show that the portable electrical detection system can detect DNA target concentrations as low as 0.16?µM. The detection of the amplified polymerase chain reaction sample and the reproducibility of the DNA sensor results were also determined using the designed readout circuit. The ubiquitous application and release of antibiotics to the environment can result in bacterial antibiotic resistance, which in turn can be a serious risk to humans and other animals. Southeast Asian countries commonly apply an integrated recycling farm system called VAC (Vegetable, Aquaculture and Caged animal). In the VAC environment, antibiotics are released from animal and human origins, which would cause antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB). This study evaluated occurrence of ARB in the VAC environment in northern Vietnam, with quantitative analysis of antibiotic pollution. We found that sulfonamides were commonly detected at all sites. In dry season, while sulfamethazine was a major contaminant in pig farm pond (475-6662 ng/l) and less common in city canal and aquaculture sites, sulfamethoxazole was a major one in city canal (612-4330 ng/l). Erythromycin (154-2246 ng/l) and clarithromycin (2.8-778 ng/ml) were the common macrolides in city canal, but very low concentrations in pig farm pond and aquaculture sites. High frequencies of sulfamethoxazole-resistant bacteria (2.14-94.44%) were found whereas the occurrence rates of erythromycin-resistant bacteria were lower (< 0.01-38.8%). A positive correlation was found between sulfamethoxazole concentration and occurrence of sulfamethoxazole-resistant bacteria in dry season. The sulfamethoxazole-resistant isolates were found to belong to 25 genera. Acinetobacter and Aeromonas were the major genera. Twenty three of 25 genera contained sul genes. This study showed specific contamination patterns in city and VAC environments and concluded that ARB occurred not only within contaminated sites but also those less contaminated. Various species can obtain resistance in VAC environment, which would be reservoir of drug resistance genes. Occurrence of ARB is suggested to relate with rainfall condition and horizontal gene transfer in diverse microbial community. 相似文献

In this work, crystallization kinetics and aggregate growth of poly(3‐ethylhexylthiophene) (P3EHT) thin films are studied as a function of film thickness. X‐ray diffraction and optical absorption show that individual aggregates and crystallites grow anisotropically and mostly along only two packing directions: the alkyl stacking and the polymer chain backbone direction. Further, it is also determined that crystallization kinetics is limited by the reorganization of polymer chains and depends strongly on the film thickness and average molecular weight. Time‐dependent, field‐effect hole mobilities in thin films reveal a percolation threshold for both low and high molecular weight P3EHT. Structural analysis reveals that charge percolation requires bridged aggregates separated by a distance of ≈2–3 nm, which is on the order of the polymer persistence length. These results thus highlight the importance of tie molecules and inter‐aggregate distance in supporting charge percolation in semiconducting polymer thin films. The study as a whole also demonstrates that P3EHT is an ideal model system for polythiophenes and should prove to be useful for future investigations into crystallization kinetics. 相似文献

We reinvestigated whether the native myosin LC2-free-subfragment 1 (S1) dimer exists by using viscometry, capillary electrophoresis, and laser light scattering. We found that the intrinsic viscosity of the monomer is [eta]m = 6.7 cm3/g and its translation diffusion coefficient is (c = 0) = 4.43 x 10(-)7 cm2/s. For the dimer, [eta]d = 19.8 cm3/g and (c = 0) = 2.54 x 10(-)7 cm2/s. Using the Svedberg equation and introducing the values of the sedimentation coefficients (5.05 S for the monomer and 6.05 S for the dimer), we find the following molecular weights: Mr,m = 108 000 Da and Mr,d = 213 000 Da, which agree well with previous determinations. Capillary electrophoresis successfully separated S1(A1) and S1(A2), in a monomer buffer, and S1(A1) and S1(A2) and a heterodimer S1(A1)-S1(A2), in a dimer buffer. An interesting feature of the monomer-dimer equilibrium is the presence of temperature transitions, whose positions and widths depend upon the buffer conditions. At low temperatures, a pure dimer was observed, whereas at high temperatures only the monomer was present. The dimerization site on both myosin and S1 is extremely labile. 相似文献
