Packet duplication (PD) with dual connectivity (DC) was newly introduced in the 5G New Radio (NR) specifications to meet the stringent ultra reliable low latency communication (URLLC) requirements. PD technology uses duplicated packets in the packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer that are transmitted via two different access nodes (ANs) to the user equipment (UE) in order to enhance the reliability performance. However, PD can result in unnecessary retransmissions in the lower layers since the hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) operation is unaware of the transmission success achieved through the alternate DC link to the UE. To overcome this issue, in this paper, a novel duplication-aware retransmission optimization (DRO) scheme is proposed to reduce the resource usage induced by unnecessary HARQ retransmissions. The proposed DRO scheme can minimize the average channel use while satisfying the URLLC requirements. The proposed DRO scheme derives the optimal HARQ retransmission attempts for different ANs by solving a nonlinear integer programming (NLIP) problem. The performance of the proposed DRO scheme was evaluated using MATLAB simulation and is compared to the existing 5G HARQ support schemes. The simulations results show that the proposed DRO scheme can provide a 14.71% and 15.11% reduced average channel use gain compared to the selective data duplication upon failure (SDUF) scheme and latency-aware dynamic multi-connectivity algorithm (LADMA) scheme, respectively, which are the existing 5G PD schemes that use HARQ.  相似文献

Software defect prediction has been regarded as one of the crucial tasks to improve software quality by effectively allocating valuable resources to fault-prone modules. It is necessary to have a sufficient set of historical data for building a predictor. Without a set of sufficient historical data within a company, cross-project defect prediction (CPDP) can be employed where data from other companies are used to build predictors. In such cases, a transfer learning technique, which extracts common knowledge from source projects and transfers it to a target project, can be used to enhance the prediction performance. There exists the class imbalance problem, which causes difficulties for the learner to predict defects. The main impacts of imbalanced data under cross-project settings have not been investigated in depth. We propose a transfer cost-sensitive boosting method that considers both knowledge transfer and class imbalance for CPDP when given a small amount of labeled target data. The proposed approach performs boosting that assigns weights to the training instances with consideration of both distributional characteristics and the class imbalance. Through comparative experiments with the transfer learning and the class imbalance learning techniques, we show that the proposed model provides significantly higher defect detection accuracy while retaining better overall performance. As a result, a combination of transfer learning and class imbalance learning is highly effective for improving the prediction performance under cross-project settings. The proposed approach will help to design an effective prediction model for CPDP. The improved defect prediction performance could help to direct software quality assurance activities and reduce costs. Consequently, the quality of software can be managed effectively.  相似文献

Development of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts with reduced precious metal content while enhancing catalytic performance has been of pivotal importance in cost‐effective design of acid polymer electrolyte membrane water electrolyzers. Hollow multimetallic nanostructures with well‐defined facets are ideally suited for saving the usage of expensive precious metals as well as boosting catalytic performances; however, Ir‐based hollow nanocatalysts have rarely been reported. Here, a very simple synthetic scheme is reported for the preparation of hollow octahedral nanocages of Co‐doped IrCu alloy with readily tunable morphology and size. The Co‐doped IrCu octahedral nanocages show excellent electrocatalytic activity and long‐term durability for OER in acidic media. Notably, their OER activity represents one of the best performances among Ir‐based acidic OER catalysts.  相似文献

Alternating current dielectrophoresis in water was used to position graphite oxide soot (GO-soot) particles generated by rapid thermal expansion of graphite oxide under inert gas. The dielectrophoretic deposition was carried out at a frequency of 10 MHz and a peak-to-peak voltage of 10 V, and the deposited particles were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. The vertical cross section, obtained by focused ion beam cutting, shows the wrinkled layers of the GO-soot particles and cavities between the layers. The electrical transport measurements show typical characteristics of metal-like pathways. The improved electrical contact between electrodes and GO-soot, probably due to the thin platelet structure of GO-soot, makes the material favorable for electrical device applications. The results demonstrate that AC dielectrophoresis can be used to selectively deposit graphite oxide soot particles at desired locations.  相似文献

Platelets, cellular mediators of thrombosis, are activated during sepsis and are increasingly recognized as mediators of the immune response. Platelet activation is significantly increased in sepsis patients compared to ICU control patients. Despite this correlation, the role of activated platelets in contributing to sepsis pathophysiology remains unclear. We previously demonstrated NOD-like receptor protein 3 inflammasome (NLRP3) inflammasome activation in sepsis-induced platelets from cecal-ligation puncture (CLP) rats. Activated platelets were associated with increased pulmonary edema and glomerular injury in CLP vs. SHAM controls. In this study, we investigated whether inhibition of platelet activation would attenuate NLRP3 activation and renal and pulmonary injury in response to CLP. CLP was performed in male and female Sprague Dawley (SD) rats (n = 10/group) to induce abdominal sepsis and SHAM rats served as controls. A subset of CLP animals was treated with Clopidogrel (10 mg/kg/day, CLP + CLOP) to inhibit platelet activation. At 72 h post-CLP, platelet activation and NLRP3 inflammasome assembly were evaluated, IL-1β and IL-18 were measured in plasma, and tissues, renal and pulmonary pathology, and renal function were assessed. Activated platelets were 7.8 ± 3.6% in Sham, 22 ± 6% in CLP and significantly decreased to 14.5 ± 0.6% in CLP + CLOP (n = 8–10/group, p < 0.05). NLRP3 inflammasome assembly was inhibited in platelets of CLP + CLOP animals vs. CLP. Significant increases in plasma and kidney IL-1β and IL-18 in response to CLP were decreased with Clopidogrel treatment. Renal injury, but not lung histology or renal function was improved in CLP + CLOP vs. CLP. These data provide evidence that activated platelets may contribute to sepsis-induced renal injury, possibly via NLRP3 activation in platelets. Platelets may be a therapeutic target to decrease renal injury in septic patients.  相似文献

The cloud point curves for polysulfone (PSf)/solvent/water systems were determined by a titration method. A small amount of water was needed to induce liquid-liquid demixing and the temperature effect was small. From numerical calculations, it was found that the binary interaction parameters for the PSf/solvent/water system enlarges the homogeneous region in the phase diagram with a smaller nonsolvent-polymer interaction parameter χ13, a greater nonsolvent-solvent interaction parameter χ12, and a smaller solvent-polymer interaction parameter χ23 and the effect of polymer molecular weight was negligible except in the range of low molecular weight. The phase diagrams, calculated with constant χ12 that was chosen from the concentration-dependent interaction parameter g12 value of the concentration range, were similar to the results obtained with g12. The slope of the tie lines indicated that demixing of the ternary system occurred at relatively similar nonsolvent concentration in both phases. A value of 2.7 for the water-PSf interaction parameter was obtained by fitting the experimental cloud point curve with the calculated binodal lines. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
