This report deals with the mechanism of space charge accumulation in cross‐linked polyethylene (XLPE) under dc electric field. Space charge was measured by the pulsed‐electroacoustic method with applying dc stress of 20 kV/mm. A large amount of hetero space charge accumulated in fresh XLPE samples. Factors influencing the space charge accumulation were analyzed in regard to cross‐linking by‐products and antioxidant. No space charge was seen when the fresh sample was degassed to remove cross‐linking by‐products. Introducing acetophenone, one of the cross‐linking by‐products, in a degassed sample produces no space charge, suggesting that acetophenone itself could not be the direct factor of space charge formation. However, heating this sample up to 150 °C results in formation of hetero space charges as in virgin samples. Hence, it is concluded that hetero space charges may be formed when impurities, such as an antioxidant, dissociate thermally with the help of acetophenone and that the dissociated products are attracted toward both electrodes under a dc field to form the hetero space charges. © 1999 Scripta Technica, Electr Eng Jpn, 129(2): 13–21, 1999  相似文献

This paper describes the results of tests and discussions carried out to develop a system for partial discharge monitoring in GIS. They include the propagation characteristics of partial discharge pulses in each GIS component, as well as the test results obtained using an actual 300‐kV GIS. This paper proposes a neural network algorithm for estimating advertising effectiveness. The basic premise under this algorithm is that the relationship between input and output monotonically increases. The algorithm is useful for domains such as estimation of advertising effectiveness, for which only deficient data are available. A broad‐line 1H‐NMR study was carried out to examine the local structure of poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) grafted onto Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE). The NMR spectra were observed for three different samples with 1.0, 5.4, and 7.0 wt % PMMA over the temperature range from 150 to 380 K. With the help of selectively deuterated PMMA (PMMA‐d5 and PMMA‐d8)‐grafted samples, the NMR spectra were analyzed in terms of two components—a Gaussian (G) component, and a Lorentzian (L) component. Based on the second moments (〈ΔH2〉) analysis, the L and G components were attributed to the 1H–1H dipolar interactions within one CH3 group and the interactions of CH3 groups that are closely located in aggregated PMMA chains. Combining the results with the temperature dependence of 〈ΔH2〉 and the angular resolved XPS, the location and rotational motion of PMMA grafted onto PTFE are discussed. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Improvement of processability of Poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) was achieved by introduction of a branch structure using gamma‐irradiation from a 60Co source. Irradiated PCL has higher molecular weight by producting a branch structure. Hence, the irradiation at a lower dose, such as 3 Mrad, leads to a higher melt viscosity. The branched structure gave improved properties for dynamic viscoelasticity and elongational viscosity. High elongational viscosity was observed by entanglement due to branch chain formed during irradiation, and the elongational viscosity for 3 Mrad is higher than 1.5 Mrad. Due to a higher elongational viscosity, PCL foam can be produced by a molding process. Foam produced from irradiated PCL pellets at 3 Mrad has honeycomb‐like structure, and the foam showed higher enzymatic degradation compared to film samples. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The large eddy simulation (LES) is applied to an unconfined swirling flow of an air surrounding a bluff-body having a central jet of air, and the complicated flowfield that involves the recirculation and vortex breakdown is investigated. The Smagorinsky model is used as the sub-grid scale model. The results of the present numerical simulation are compared with the experimental data of the mean and stochastic root mean square (RMS) variations of two velocity components. Although the inflow conditions are specified in a simple manner, the obtained numerical results are in reasonable agreement with the experiments, except for a part of RMS variation values near downstream of the bluff body. The present numerical calculations can successfully reproduce the two characteristics of the flow, i.e., an upstream recirculation zone established just downstream of the burner plane and the additional recirculation zone established at the more downstream location.  相似文献

The death of photoreceptor cells is induced by continuous light exposure. However, it is unclear whether light damage was induced in retinal ganglion cells with photosensitivity by transduction of optogenetic genes. In this study, we evaluated the phototoxicities of continuous light exposure on retinal ganglion cells after transduction of the optogenetic gene mVChR1 using an adeno-associated virus vector. Rats were exposed to continuous light for a week, and visually evoked potentials (VEPs) were recorded. The intensities of continuous light (500, 1000, 3000, and 5000 lx) increased substantially after VEP recordings. After the final recording of VEPs, retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) were retrogradely labeled with a fluorescein tracer, FluoroGold, and the number of retinal ganglion cells was counted under a fluorescent microscope. There was no significant reduction in the amplitudes of VEPs and the number of RGCs after exposure to any light intensity. These results indicated that RGCs were photosensitive after the transduction of optogenetic genes and did not induce any phototoxicity by continuous light exposure.  相似文献

There has been much interest in the potential of using probiotic bacteria for treating allergic diseases. A double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of Lactobacillus GG (LGG) and L. gasseri TMC0356 (TMC0356) in alleviating Japanese cedar pollinosis (JCP), a seasonal allergic rhinitis caused by Japanese cedar pollen. Fermented milk prepared with the tested bacteria or placebo yoghurt was administered to 40 subjects with a clinical history of JCP for 10 weeks. Subjective symptoms, self-care measures and blood samples were compared between the two groups. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were collected from seven patients with JCP and in vitro cytokine production by the isolated PBMCs was analysed in the presence of heat-killed lactic acid bacteria. Consumption of the fermented milk significantly decreased the mean symptom score for nasal blockage after 9 weeks (P<0.05) and mean symptom-medication scores after 9 and 10 weeks when compared with the placebo group (P<0.01 and P<0.05 respectively). The tested strains of lactic acid bacteria affected cytokine production by isolated PBMCs in vitro in a strain-dependent manner. LGG significantly inhibited IL-4 and IL-5 production by PBMCs stimulated by both Cry j 1 and PHA. TMC0356 only suppressed IL-5 production stimulated by PHA. The fermented milk prepared with LGG and TMC0356 might be beneficial in JCP because of its effect on nasal blockage. The effects of LGG and TMC0356 might arise at least partly from their specific down-regulation of the human Th2 immune response.  相似文献

We have developed a method to detect specific proteins with a high sensitivity using a gel electrophoresis method and force measurement of atomic force microscopy (AFM). Biotinylated proteins were separated by electrophoresis and fixed with cross-linking chemicals on the gel, followed by direct force measurement between the biotinylated proteins on the gel and a streptavidin-modified tip of an AFM cantilever. We were able to achieve a high enough sensitivity to detect the picogram order of the biotinylated proteins by evaluating the frequency of the interaction force larger than 100 pN in the force profile, which corresponds to the rupture force of interaction between streptavidin and biotin.  相似文献

Optimization of groove dimensions in herringbone-grooved journal bearings is discussed in this paper with aims to design precision spindles with improved run-out characteristics. An evaluation index to represent the magnitude of the amplitude of repeatable run-out is firstly introduced and the groove design parameters are theoretically discussed to minimize the index value with taking the stable operation condition of the bearing into account. The comprehensive parameter research reveals a guideline for the design of the groove configuration for good run-out characteristics. Experiments with a shaft with grooves designed along the proposed guideline show that the amplitude of repeatable run-out reduces to about half of that of a bearing with currently designed groove configurations, thus confirming validity of the above guideline.  相似文献
