This case report describes surgical treatment in a sciatic artery aneurysm with hypoplastic external iliac and femoral arteries. An obturator bypass grafting procedure from the internal iliac artery to the distal sciatic artery was performed after aneurysmal exclusion was achieved by proximal and distal ligation. The experiment by Feng et al. shows that scattering magnon by some kind of magnetic defects becomes important at low temperature. A modified Monte Carlo (MC) simulation was performed to investigate the hydrogen absorption behavior in Pd and Pd–Ag alloys of the composition PdxAg1−x (x=0.7–0.8) under H2 pressure (0.1 MPa) at different temperatures. The present method employed can consider the dissociative adsorption of hydrogen molecule and the subsequent absorption of hydrogen atom by formalizing the relationship between the pressure of hydrogen molecule and hydrogen atom. The potential parameters were determined to reproduce the solution enthalpy of hydrogen in pure metals. The results are in good agreement with experimental findings as well as previous theoretical studies. Orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT) with bicaval and pulmonary venous anastomoses avoids the large atrial anastomoses of the standard biatrial technique. To determine whether the bicaval technique improves atrial performance, we used Doppler echocardiography to study 13 patients with bicaval OHT, 15 with biatrial OHT, and 8 normal subjects. All were in sinus rhythm and free of rejection. Left atrial size, transmitral (M) and late diastolic (A) mitral flow velocity integrals were measured. Atrial transport (A/M, %) and atrial ejection force (kilodynes, calculated from peak A-wave velocity and mitral orifice area) were assessed. Left atrial dimensions in the bicaval (4.3 +/- 0.5 cm) and biatrial groups (4.9 +/- 0.9 cm) were larger than in controls (3.3 +/- 0.8 cm, p < 0.05). Left atrial transport (37% +/- 12% and 35% +/- 12%) and ejection force (14.1 +/- 6.9 kdyne and 10.2 +/- 7.8 kdyne) were similar in the bicaval group and controls (p not significant) but were significantly lower in the biatrial group (20% +/- 19% and 3.6 +/- 4.0 kdynes, p < 0.05). The bicaval and pulmonary venous technique of OHT produces more physiologic atrial function compared with the biatrial technique as evidenced by greater atrial ejection force and more normal atrial transport. 相似文献

BaTiO3 dielectric ceramics, which have no core–shell structure, were prepared. High-resolution transmission electron microscope (TEM) and the newly developed chemical etching analysis revealed the composition of the grain boundary. The grain boundary has an important role in stabilizing temperature dependence of a dielectric constant. The grain boundary causes a large stress against grains, resulting in a change of the domain structure. So, the stress from the grain boundary is considered to depress the dielectric abnormality at the Curie temperature. 相似文献

Novel acetylene monomers substituted with phenylethynylcarbazolyl groups, 3-[(4-octylphenyl)ethynyl]-9-propargylcarbazole (1), 3,6-bis[(4-octylphenyl)ethynyl]-9-propargylcarbazole (2), 9-(4-ethynylphenyl)-3-[(4-octylphenyl)ethynyl]carbazole (3), and 9-(4-ethynylphenyl)-3,6-bis[(4-octylphenyl)ethynyl]carbazole (4) were synthesized, and polymerized with Rh+(nbd)[η6-C6H5B−(C6H5)3] and WCl6-n-Bu4Sn catalysts. The corresponding polyacetylenes with number-average molecular weights ranging from 9200 to 94?000 were obtained in 20-98% yields. The IR spectra of the polymers revealed that acetylene polymerization took place at the terminal ethynyl group, while the ethynylene group remained intact. The UV-vis absorption band edge wavelengths of W-based poly(3) and poly(4) were longer than those of the other polymers. W-Based poly(4) emitted fluorescence with the highest quantum yield (41%). Effect of water on vapor phase photografting on cellulose was investigated at 60°C. An activated grafting of methyl methacrylate by water contained in the sample was observed in the experiment. The effect of water was commonly recorded irrespective of the type of cellulose derivatives such as cellulose acetate (degree of substitution, DS = 0.18 and 0.33), cellulose nitrate (DS = 0.35 and 0.75), and carboxymethl cellulose (DS = 0.19 and 0.74). Organic solvents can also be used in place of water, indicating that the percent grafting decreases in the order, water > methanol > acetone > cyclohexane. From ESR studies, water in the sample was found to contribute to the decay of cellulose radicals rather than to the radical formation. The decay was accelerated by organic solvents, and the magnitude of the effect was in the order, water ≈ methanol > acetone > cyclohexane. Based on the above investigation, it was presumed that water contained in the sample cannot contribute directly to the formation of cellulose radicals which may initiate grafting, but mostly promotes the penetration of monomer into cellulose fibers. Such penetration could lead cellulose radicals to an effective initiation of grafting. 相似文献
