Poly(diallyldimethylammoium chloride) (PDDA)/acid or base modified graphene oxide (MGO) composite (PDDA/MGO)-based gas barrier films were prepared by layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly method on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate using a spray coating assisted deposition. The effect of pH on the hydrogen gas permeability (H2GP) values of the different MGO-based films was investigated to determine the optimum pH value of the MGO solution for the preparation of PDDA/MGO-based LBL assembly. Accordingly, the different numbers of bilayers based LBL-assembled films were prepared using alternate deposition of PDDA and MGO solutions and the H2GP values were measured for those assemblies. The films were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, and Raman spectroscopy analyses. The morphology of the LBL-assembled film was observed by cross-sectional field emission scanning electron microscopy which confirms densely packed layered structure. The H2GP of six bilayers PDDA/MGO composite film is 5.7 cc/m2?d?atm, which is much lower than that of pure PET substrate (170.7 cc/m2?d?atm), indicating 96.7% decrease in H2GP. This result suggests that the PDDA/MGO composite film could be used as a potential candidate to fabricate hydrogen gas barrier coating material.  相似文献

A crumply and highly flexible lithium‐ion battery is realized by using microfiber mat electrodes in which the microfibers are wound or webbed with conductive nanowires. This electrode architecture guarantees extraordinary mechanical durability without any increase in resistance after folding 1000 times. Its areal energy density is easily controllable by the number of folded stacks of a piece of the electrode mat. Deformable lithium‐ion batteries of lithium iron phosphate as cathode and lithium titanium oxide as anode at high areal capacity (3.2 mAh cm?2) are successfully operated without structural failure and performance loss, even after repeated crumpling and folding during charging and discharging.  相似文献

Two novel conjugated polymers incorporating quinoidal thiophene are successfully synthesized. By combining 1D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and 2D nuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy analyses, the isomeric form of the major quinoid monomer is clearly identified as the asymmetric Z, E‐configuration. The quinoidal polymers are synthesized via Stille polymerization with thiophene or bithiophene. Both quinoidal polymers exhibit the low band gap of 1.45 eV and amphoteric redox behavior, indicating extended conjugation owing to the quinoidal backbone. These quinoidal polymers show ambipolar behaviors with high charge carrier mobilities when applied in organic field‐effect transistors. In addition, the radial alignment of polymer chains achieved by off‐center spin‐coating leads to further improvement of device performance, with poly(quinoidal thiophene–bithiophene) exhibiting a high hole mobility of 8.09 cm2 V?1 s?1, which is the highest value among the quinoidal polymers up to now. Microstructural alteration via thermal annealing or off‐center spin‐coating is found to beneficially affect charge transport. The enhancement of crystallinity with strong π–π interactions and the nanofibrillar structure arising from planar well‐delocalized quinoid units is considered to be responsible for the high charge carrier mobility.  相似文献

Although additive manufacturing (AM) has gained significant attention due to the advantages it offers and is currently a focus of much research, design of critical load carrying components utilizing such processes is still at its infancy. This is due to the fact that most of the load carrying components made by AM processes are subjected to cyclic loads, and fatigue behaviour of AM metals is far less understood as compared with those made by conventional methods, such as wrought and cast metals. To better understand the fatigue behaviour of AM metals, a wide range of issues that affect the behaviour in a synergistic manner must be considered. These include the effects of defects, residual stresses, surface finish, geometry and size, layer orientation, and heat treatment. Additionally, due to the multiaxial nature of the loading and/or complex geometries typically manufactured by AM processes, the stress state is often multiaxial including both normal and shear stresses. In this paper, the aforementioned effects influencing the fatigue resistance of AM parts, including torsion and multiaxial fatigue behaviour, are briefly discussed using some recently generated experimental data on Ti‐6Al‐4V by the authors.  相似文献

Herein, a new type of cobalt encapsulated nitrogen‐doped carbon (Co@NC) nanostructure employing ZnxCo1?x(C3H4N2) metal–organic framework (MOF) as precursor is developed, by a simple, ecofriendly, solvent‐free approach that utilizes a mechanochemical coordination self‐assembly strategy. Possible evolution of ZnxCo1?x(C3H4N2) MOF structures and their conversion to Co@NC nanostructures is established from an X‐ray diffraction technique and transmission electron microscopy analysis, which reveal that MOF‐derived Co@NC core–shell nanostructures are well ordered and highly crystalline in nature. Co@NC–MOF core–shell nanostructures show excellent catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), with onset potential of 0.97 V and half‐wave potential of 0.88 V versus relative hydrogen electrode in alkaline electrolyte, and excellent durability with zero degradation after 5000 potential cycles; whereas under similar experimental conditions, the commonly utilized Pt/C electrocatalyst degrades. The Co@NC–MOF electrocatalyst also shows excellent tolerance to methanol, unlike the Pt/C electrocatalyst. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis shows the presence of ORR active pyridinic‐N and graphitic‐N species, along with CoNx? Cy and Co? Nx ORR active (M–N–C) sites. Enhanced electron transfer kinetics from nitrogen‐doped carbon shell to core Co nanoparticles, the existence of M–N–C active sites, and protective NC shells are responsible for high ORR activity and durability of the Co@NC–MOF electrocatalyst.  相似文献

High sensitivity and high stretchability are two conflicting characteristics that are difficult to achieve simultaneously in elastic strain sensors. A highly sensitive and stretchable strain sensor comprising a microstructured metal nanowire (mNW)/elastomer composite film is presented. The surface structure is easily prepared by combining an mNW coating and soft‐lithographic replication processes in a simple and reproducible manner. The densely packed microprism‐array architecture of the composite film leads to a large morphological change in the mNW percolation network by efficiently concentrating the strain in the valley regions upon stretching. Meanwhile, the percolation network comprising mNWs with a high aspect ratio is stable enough to prevent electrical failure, even under high strains. This enables the sensor to simultaneously satisfy high sensitivity (gauge factor ≈81 at >130% strain) and high stretchability (150%) while ensuring long‐term reliability (10 000 cycles at 150% strain). The sensor can also detect strain induced by bending and pressure, thus demonstrating its potential as a versatile sensing tool. The sensor is successfully utilized to monitor a wide range of human motions in real time. Furthermore, the unique sensing mechanism is easily extended to detect more complex multiaxial strains by optimizing the surface morphology of the device.  相似文献

The main goal of the present study was to empirically investigate the manner in which cultural diversity and communication mode affect team communication process. Two independent variables were manipulated in the study: (1) cultural diversity (homogeneous versus heterogeneous); and (2) communication mode (face-to-face versus computer-mediated communication). Team members’ communication exchanges were measured by using Bales’ interaction process analysis (IPA) that divides the function (as opposed to the topical content) of communication during group discussion into either task-related or socio-emotional contributions at two-levels: communication profile and functional area. Results of this study indicated homogeneous teams used more showing agreement, giving opinions, and showing tension communication patterns compared to heterogeneous teams. Additionally, when considering the higher-level functional areas, teams using face-to-face (FTF) communication strategies were characterized by greater positive socio-emotional communication, more attempted answers, more questions, and more frequent negative socio-emotional communications. The results of the present study also suggested that the impact of communication mode on team communication varies by the level of diversity within the team. The outcomes of this research should have a broad impact on the management of a multi-cultural team, a task-oriented team consisting of people with different national cultures. Relevance to industry: Results of the present study should provide valuable insights into the ways in which cultural diversity and communication mode influence the communication mechanisms which take place among members during team interaction.  相似文献

Abstract— This paper presents thermally adaptive driving (TAD) technology for response‐time compensation (RTC) of an LCD with an integrated sensor. The TAD system is comprised of an analog sensor, an analog sensor signal conditioning, and a digital feedback algorithm. The integrated thermal sensor provides accurate temperature measurement of the liquid‐crystal layer. The TAD controller has an eight‐step look‐up‐table (LUT) and compensates response time based on the panel temperature. The TAD system reduces response time by nearly 34% over the temperature range 0–60°C. This paper also presents a thermal sensor which has been integrated onto an LCD. The sensor uses metal (Mo/Al) film as a temperature detection layer, and its fabrication requires no manufacturing process changes. The sensor shows very good linearity, sensitivity, and reliability.  相似文献

Gated myocardial single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is being used for the diagnosis of coronary artery diseases. In this study, we developed new software for the quantification of volumes and ejection fraction (EF) on the gated myocardial SPECT data using a cylindrical model. Volumes and EF by developed software were validated by comparing with those quantified by quantitative gated SPECT (QGS) software. Cylinder model for left ventricular myocardium was used to eliminate background activity and count profiles across the myocardium were fitted to the Gaussian curve to determine the endocardial and epicardial boundary. End-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV) and EF were calculated using this boundary information. Gated myocardial SPECT was performed in 83 patients. EDV, ESV and EF values estimated using present method were compared to those obtained using the commercialized software QGS, and reproducibility in the parameter estimation was assessed. EF, EDV and ESV obtained using two methods were correlated well (correlation coefficients = 0.96, 0.96 and 0.98). The correlation between the parameters repetitively estimated from the same data set by an operator was very high (correlation coefficients = 0.96, 0.99 and 0.99 for EF, EDV and ESV). On the repeated acquisition, reproducibility was also high with correlation coefficients of 0.89, 0.97 and 0.98. The present software will be useful for the development of new parameters for describing the perfusion and function of the LV.  相似文献

Computer technologies that protect data and systems from viruses, unauthorized access, disruptions, spyware and other threats have become increasingly important in the globally networked economy and society. Yet little is known about user attitudes and behaviour towards this category of information technologies. Comparative studies across different cultures in this context are even rarer. In this study, we examine the cross-cultural differences between South Korea and the United States in user behaviour towards protective information technologies. We develop a theoretical model of user behaviour based on the framework of the theory of planned behaviour and national cultural dimensions and indices. We posit that cultural factors moderate the strength of the relationships in the behavioural model in the context of protective information technologies. The model was then empirically tested using structural equation modelling techniques in conjunction with multi-group analysis. Most of the hypothesized moderating effects of national cultural factors were found to be statistically significant. Our findings suggest that cultural factors should be considered in order to design effective information security policies, practices and technologies in global networks where multiple cultures coexist. Theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed.  相似文献
