The linked cell algorithm is an essential part of molecular simulation software, both molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo. Though it scales linearly with the number of particles, there has been a constant interest in increasing its performance, because a large part of CPU time is spent to identify the interacting particles. Several recent publications proposed improvements to the algorithm and investigated their efficiency by applying them to particular setups. Here we develop a general method to evaluate the efficiency of these algorithms which is mostly independent of the parameters of the simulation, and test it for a number of linked cell algorithms. We also propose a combination of linked cell reordering and interaction sorting that performs well for a broad range of simulation setups.  相似文献

随着业务需求的日益增长,蜂窝也越变越小,移动蜂窝通信环境中的切换成为日益重要的问题。在CDMA蜂窝系统中使用软切换,为了解决切换时的信道短缺问题,提出了许多解决方法。该文中提出了称为基于信道借用和信号预测的切换算法。当切换请求到达蜂窝时,如果没有空闲信道,就将从参与软切换的静止呼叫借用一信道,并将借用的信道分配给移动呼叫的切换请求.如果没有信道可借用,就将切换请求放入队列中,使用信号预测的方法来确定队列中的优先级。并将此切换方式的性能与其它切换方式进行了比较。  相似文献

Recent publications (e.g., D. M. Paltin, 1993) have stressed the absence of specific technique in H. Kaiser's (e.g., 1930, 1931, 1934) writings on psychotherapy, suggesting that his approach consists of a mere humanistic, nondirective stance. The author demonstrates that this position is a skewed representation of Kaiser's views on psychotherapy. After a short historical perspective, the six most important principles of technique, which can be found throughout Kaiser's writings, are discussed. This case report describes a patient with a facial nerve hemangioma of 8 years' duration that initially caused most of the symptoms of Ménière's syndrome: fullness, sensorineural hearing loss, dizziness, tinnitus, and disruption of balance. The hearing loss was in the high-frequency range (> or = 3,000 Hz); typically, the initial hearing loss in Ménière's syndrome is in the low-frequency range. Mild facial nerve weakness and punctate keratitis due to corneal exposure appeared 8 years later. Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging and high-resolution computed tomography depicted the lesion and made preoperative diagnosis possible. With meticulous surgical removal of the tumor, which was intertwined with the facial nerve, facial nerve function was preserved.  相似文献

Potentially pathogenic microbes and so-called technophiles may form a serious threat in advanced life support systems, such as the International Space Station (ISS). They not only pose a threat to the health of the crew, but also to the technical equipment and materials of the space station. The development of fast and easy to use molecular detection and quantification methods for application in manned spacecraft is therefore desirable and may also be valuable for applications on Earth. In this paper we present the preliminary results of the SAMPLE experiment in which we performed molecular microbial analysis on environmental samples of the ISS as part of an ESA-MAP project.
