We demonstrate that self-induced gain gratings can provide nonlinear optical feedback that results in single frequency selection and passive self Q-switching of a conventional linear laser cavity. An experimental Nd:YAG laser system is described that yields a temporally-smooth 20 ns pulse at 1.064 μm. In addition, we show that the feedback has phase-conjugate properties that permit “flower-like” mode formation even though the azimuthal symmetry of the cavity is broken  相似文献

In order to have a medical imaging examination for idiopathic hemifacial spasm before surgery, we designed a new method by using vertebroarterial DSA and vertebroarterial CTA based on an aired cisternapontis, 36 patients were examined since 1989 and the compression of the facial nerve from brain stem to porus acousticus internus was showed clearly in all the cases. The arteries responsible for the compression were cerebellar inferior posterior (55.6%), cerebellar inferior anterior (44.4%), auditory internus (25.0%) and vertebroarterial (11.1%), 36% of all the cases had more than one responsible arteries, 22.2% cases had only one compression point, 38.9% had two points, 25.0% had 3 and 13.9% had more. 85.7% of the compression points located in the root zone and 14.3% near the porus acousticus internus. 24 cases were treated with decompression surgery, it indicated that the compression conditions just met the medical imaging examinationg results. After surgery the symptom disappeared in 23 cases and remarkably released in one case with no death case. We believed that this method might be helpful to idiopathic hemifacial spasm decompression surgery and other surgeries in the CP angle.  相似文献

The base station (BS) in the CDMA Mobile System (CMS) connects calls through the radio interface and is designed to provide mobile subscribers with high quality service in spite of mobile subscribers’ motions. The BS consists of multiple base station transceiver subsystems (BTSs), a base station controller (BSC) and a base station manager (BSM). This paper is concerned with the BSC and the BSM. The BSC is located between the BTSs and the mobile switching center (MSC) connected with the public network, and is responsible for controlling mobile calls from and to mobile subscribers via the BTSs. The BSM provides operator-interfaces per the BS and takes responsibility of operation and maintenance (OAM) of the BS. Design of the BSC is based on two module types: functional module and unit module. The functional module is used to support new services easily and the unit module to increase the system capacity economically. Both modular types are easily achieved by inserting the corresponding modules to the system. Particularly, in order to efficiently support the soft handover which is one of CDMA superior advantages, the BSC adopts a large high-speed packet switch connecting up to 512 BTSs, and thus mobile subscribers can be provided with soft handover in high probability. The BSM is based on a commercial workstation to support OAM functions efficiently and guarantee high reliability of the functions. The BSM uses graphical user interface (GUI) for efficient OAM functions of the BS.  相似文献

Disagreement exists in the literature concerting the activity of NiO in (Ni,Mg)O solid solutions. Ideal behavior, as well as strong positive deviations and strong negative deviations from ideality, has been reported. In the present study, the activity of NiO was determined by electromotive force measurements using the solid-state cell Pt/Ni-NiO/0.92ZrO2-0.08Y2O3/Ni-(Ni,Mg)O/Pt. The compositions studied had NiO mole fractions of 0.1,0.3,0.5,0.7, and 0.9. In agreement with theoretical expectations, the solid solutions exhibited ideal behavior at 882° and 982°C. Possible reasons for the conflicting results in the literature arc presented.  相似文献

The energy release rate, which is the total derivative of the energy with respect to crack length, is recognized as corresponding to the shape sensitivity analysis with the crack length change represented by the tangential component of design velocity. In this paper the sensitivity formula recently developed for a changing boundary condition has been further extended to cover crack kinking under mixed mode loading. Due to difficulty in defining the velocity field at the corner, the energy release rate at the onset of crack kinking is obtained by extrapolating the energy release rates for finite length kinked cracks. A rectangular plate with a single edge slant crack under uniform tension is taken as a numerical example. The multi-region technique in the numerical implementation of the boundary integral equation is adopted to consider the asymmetry of the problem. Excellent accuracy is observed as compared with reference analytic solutions.  相似文献
