Zn protoporphyrin IX is formed not from heme but from protoporphyrin IX   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We examined the effects of exogenous myoglobin, a bivalent chelator, and nitrite on Zn protoporphyrin IX (ZPP) formation by using model systems. ZPP was formed in a model solution without addition of exogenous myoglobin. After incubation, the amount of ZPP in a model solution was increased but that of heme was not decreased compared with the amounts before incubation. Protoporphyrin IX (PPIX) instead of ZPP also accumulated in a model solution with addition of EDTA, but the amount of heme was not reduced. These results suggested that ZPP was not formed by the Fe–Zn substitution in heme but was formed by the insertion of Zn into PPIX, which was formed independently. The fact that the effects of various factors in model systems with/without addition of a bivalent chelator were similar suggested that ZPP formation was strongly affected by PPIX formation. Inhibition of PPIX formation by nitrite might be the reason for the low levels of ZPP in cured meats.  相似文献

Some basic properties and compatibility toward lithium electrode for electrolytes based on substituted imidazolium ionic liquid have been investigated. The ionic liquids having imidazolium cation substituted by methylcarboxyl or cyano group suffers from low conductivity. However, reversible lithium deposition–dissolution process was observed in electrolytes based on these electrolytes. In particular, lithium salt solution in cyanomethyl-substituted imidazolium ionic liquid provided similar cycle efficiency to conventional organic solvent electrolyte at constant-current condition. The mixed ionic liquid electrolyte containing the cyanomethyl-substituted ionic liquid also provided good cycle performance despite of containing large amount of 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium (EMI)-based ionic liquid. Such mixed electrolyte system serves both the stability of lithium electrode process and valid conductivity for practical use.  相似文献

Lightweight soil technology has been widely used in construction projects to solve soft ground problems. Previous work, however, has shown that the maximum interior temperature of field test bodies reaches to about 90°C. On the other hand, industrial waste disposal is an increasing problem. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) waste is now generated in vast quantities to increased consumption of drinking water sold in PET bottles. Making effective use of PET waste as a ground material may help solve the problem of its disposal. This paper describes the effects of initial high temperature curing on unconfined compressive strength and the microstructure of foamed mixture lightweight soil containing PET flake. Increase in PET-cement ratio lessened the decrease in unconfined compressive strength with increasing initial temperature. This property makes PET flake useful as a construction material. However, unconfined compressive strength decreases with increasing initial temperature at all PET-cement ratios. Observations show that the microstructure of foamed mixture lightweight soil containing PET flake have noticeable cracks if samples are cured at 90°C for 1 day; the PET flake is not completely combined with the matrix. The formation of this microstructure is the main factor of the remarkable strength decrease based on initial high temperature curing.  相似文献

L-Phenylalanine (Phe), biosynthetic precursor of anthocyanin, was repetitively added into a suspension culture of strawberry cells, constantly producing anthocyanins. In the repetitive feeding culture, the maximum anthocyanin accumulation per culture was 30% and 81% higher than those in a single Phe-feeding culture and non-feeding culture, respectively. This means that the inhibitory effect of Phe on cell growth was successfully avoided and its intracellular free-state concentration was maintained at a higher level by the repetitive feeding of L-phenylalanine at relatively lower intra-medium concentration. These results support the phenylalanine pool hypothesis which states that the intracellular L-phenylalanine level determines anthocyanin production. However, it was also suggested that there exist other restrictions controlling intracellular anthocyanin accumulation.  相似文献

Carnitine and acetylcarnitine are important for the acquisition of motility and maturation of spermatozoa in the epididymis. In this study, we examined the involvement of carnitine/organic cation transporter (OCTN) in carnitine and acetylcarnitine transport in epididymal spermatozoa of mice. Uptake of both compounds by epididymal spermatozoa was time-dependent and partially Na(+)-dependent. Kinetic analyses revealed the presence of a high-affinity transport system in the spermatozoa, with K(m) values of 23.6 and 6.57 muM for carnitine and acetylcarnitine respectively in the presence of Na(+). Expression of OCTN2 and OCTN3 in epididymal spermatozoa was confirmed by immunofluorescence analysis. The involvement of these two transporters in carnitine and acetylcarnitine transport was supported by a selective inhibition study. We conclude that both Na(+)-dependent and -independent carnitine transporters, OCTN2 and OCTN3, mediate the supply of carnitine and acetylcarnitine to epididymal spermatozoa in mice.  相似文献

We studied the presence of zinc in the red pigment extracted from Parma ham by scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis. The large peak of about 8.6keV and the small peaks at about 1.1keV and 9.5keV were derived from K(α), L(α1) and K(β) X-ray of zinc, respectively. Thus, the results suggested that zinc existed in the red pigment extracted from Parma ham. In contrast, the K(α) X-ray peak of iron (6.4keV) was not detected and the K(α) X-ray peak of magnesium (1.3keV) was hardly detected. These results revealed that the red pigment contained not iron but zinc. In addition to the results of mass analysis in previous studies, the red pigment was demonstrated to be zinc protoporphyrin IX.  相似文献

Emission and atmospheric transport of particulate PAHs in Northeast Asia   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The emission, concentration levels, and transboundary transport of particulate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Northeast Asia were investigated using particulate PAH measurements, the newly developed emission inventory (Regional Emission inventory in ASia for Persistent Organic Pollutants version, REAS-POP), and the chemical transport model (Regional Air Quality Model ver2 for POPs version, RAQM2-POP). The simulated concentrations of the nine particulate PAHs agreed well with the measured concentrations, and the results firmly established the efficacy of REAS/RAQM2-POP. It was found that the PAH concentrations in Beijing (China, source region), which were emitted predominantly from domestic coal, domestic biofuel, and other transformations of coal (including coke production), were approximately 2 orders of magnitude greater than those monitored at Noto (Japan, leeward region). In Noto, the PAH concentrations showed seasonal variations; the PAH concentrations were high from winter to spring due to contributions from domestic coal, domestic biofuel, and other transformations of coal, and low in summer. In summer, these contribution were decrease, instead, other sources, such as the on-road mobile source, were relatively increased compared with those in winter. These seasonal variations were due to seasonal variations in emissions from China, as well as transboundary transport across the Asian continent associated with meteorological conditions.  相似文献

Both Pr/sup 3+/-doped and Pr/sup 3+/-Yb/sup 3+/-codoped singlemode fibres with high numerical apertures are pumped by laser diodes with InGaAs/GaAs strained quantum well structures. A net gain of 5.2 dB is obtained from Pr/sup 3+/-doped fluoride fibre pumped by laser diodes operating at 1.1017 mu m and a net gain of 3.2 dB is obtained from Pr/sup 3+/-Yb/sup 3+/-codoped fibre pumped by laser diodes operating at 0.98 mu m. The pumping efficiency difference between Pr/sup 3+/-doped and Pr/sup 3+/-Yb/sup 3+/-codoped fibre is discussed.<>  相似文献

Since adding background music and sound effects even to short animations is not simple, an automatic music generation system would help improve the total quality of computer generated animations. This paper describes a prototype system which automatically generates background music and sound effects for existing animations. The inputs to the system are music parameters (mood types and musical motifs) and motion parameters for individual scenes of an animation. Music is generated for each scene. The key for a scene is determined by considering the mood type and its degree, and the key of the previous scene. The melody for a scene is generated from the given motifs and the chord progression for the scene which is determined according to appropriate rules. The harmony accompaniment for a scene is selected based on the mood type. The rhythm accompaniment for a scene is selected based on the mood type and tempo. The sound effects for motions are determined according to the characteristics and intensity of the motions. Both the background music and sound effects are generated so that the transitions between scenes are smooth.  相似文献
