In this paper, an efficient method is developed for the analysis of regular structures. A structure is called regular if its model can be formed by a graph product. Here, instead of direct solution of the equations corresponding to a regular structure or finding the inverse of the stiffness matrix directly, modal analysis is used, and eigenvectors are employed for calculating the displacements and then internal forces of the structures. For this purpose, first an efficient method is developed for calculating the eigenvectors of the product graphs, and then a method is presented for using these eigenvectors for evaluating the displacements of a structure. The UCR time series archive – introduced in 2002, has become an important resource in the time series data mining community, with at least one thousand published papers making use of at least one data set from the archive. The original incarnation of the archive had sixteen data sets but since that time, it has gone through periodic expansions. The last expansion took place in the summer of 2015 when the archive grew from 45 to 85 data sets. This paper introduces and will focus on the new data expansion from 85 to 128 data sets. Beyond expanding this valuable resource, this paper offers pragmatic advice to anyone who may wish to evaluate a new algorithm on the archive. Finally, this paper makes a novel and yet actionable claim: of the hundreds of papers that show an improvement over the standard baseline (1-nearest neighbor classification), a fraction might be mis-attributing the reasons for their improvement. The discovery of new eutectic phase change materials (PCMs) will overcome the current PCM challenges such as nonbiodegradability, super‐cooling, and limited thermal stability. This paper reports on the development of new bio‐based PCMs composed of binary mixtures of fatty acid esters and fatty alcohols at their eutectic compositions, which provide potential solid‐liquid PCMs for building applications. Six binary systems, namely 1‐dodecanol (DD) + methyl stearate (MES), DD + methyl palmitate (MEP), DD + methyl laurate (MEL), 1‐tetradecanol (TD) + MES, TD + MEP, and TD + MEL were prepared and their thermal behaviours were deliberated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), long‐term thermal stability test, and mass loss analysis. Amongst the studied systems, phase change transition temperature and latent heat of fusion of the eutectic mixtures of DD‐MES, DD‐MEP, TD‐MES, and TD‐MEP were found to be suitable for the building application with values of 22.46°C/201.91 J/g, 20.34°C/224.45 J/g, 32.05°C/209.38 J/g, and 26.72°C/210.15 J/g, respectively. The average degree of super‐cooling for all PCMs was below 2°C, and no significant changes in thermophysical properties of the developed PCMs were observed after 1000 thermal cycles. 相似文献

The main aim of this paper is to generalize the previously developed canonical forms by different types of alterations and/or augmentations. These forms provide suitable tools for the decomposition of the matrices of special patterns and lead to efficient aproaches for calculating their eigenvalues. Methods were developed for factorization of symmetric graphs into smaller subgraphs using decompostion and healings (Commun. Numer. Meth. Engng 2003; 19 :125–136, 2004; 20 :133–146, 2004; 20 :889–910; Comput. Struct. 2004; 18 :2229–2240). Further factorization was possible only when further symmetries were available. The main drawback was associated with non‐decomposiblity of some of the factors in early stages of decomposition, and in particular healing which often destroyed the symmetry. In this paper, the mathematical concepts related to certain symmetric and unsymmetric graphs are developed, making refined factorization of the graphs feasible.
