The effects of signature sequence on the performance of direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) systems employing Walsh M-ary orthogonal signaling are considered. The mean-squared value of multiple access interference (MAI) is derived by treating the signature sequence as deterministic. The numerical results show that Walsh orthogonal signaling changes the original properties of signature sequences, and a different choice of signature sequence results in significant performance difference. These results can be used as guides in selecting signature sequences for systems that employ Walsh M-ary orthogonal signaling  相似文献

The mass transport characteristics of m-cresol, quinoline and 1-naphthol in a silica gel column were investigated. Model equations were obtained with linear isotherm, and the equilibrium constant and the overall mass transfer coefficient were also obtained with first two moments. The theoretical Chromatographic curves predicted by using above two parameters were in a good agreement with the experiment. Contribution of individual resistances on overall mass transfer resistances was estimated. The results showed that the contribution of the external mass transfer resistances was almost uniform but that of the axial dispersion was diminished as increasing the flow rates. In the most of the experimental regions the internal mass transfer resistances played a major role in the overall resistances.  相似文献

Improved knowledge of the properties, composition, and analysis of grain sorghum wax would assist in efforts for industrial application of this product. Wax extracted from grain sorghum, harvested in 1996 in Nebraska, using hot hexane was fractionated with silica gel column chromatography using a series of mixtures of hexane, chloroform, methanol, and acttic acid. During TLC analysis of the sorghum wax, a dark band, which did not appear in carnauba wax, was found between was esters and TAG. This dark band fraction was the primary component, representing more than 40% of the total sorghum wax weight. The purpose of this study was to chemically characterize the dark band. The fraction containing the dark band was subjected to borohydride reduction and autoxidation by exposure to air. The borohydride reduction gave a dark band at the fatty alcohol position on TLC, whereas the oxidized sample showed a dark band at the FA position, strongly suggesting the original dark band contained aldehydes. NMR and GC-MS data confirmed that this fraction contained a saturated C28 aldehyde.  相似文献

We report the first unambiguous ferroelectric properties of ultra-thin-walled Pb(Zr,Ti)O 3 (PZT) nanotube arrays, each with 5 nm thick walls and outer diameters of 50 nm. Ferroelectric switching behavior with well-saturated hysteresis loops is observed in these ferroelectric PZT nanotubes with P r and E c values of about 1.5 microC cm (-2) and 86 kV cm (-1), respectively, for a maximum applied electric field of 400 kV cm (-1). These PZT nanotube arrays (10 (12) nanotubes cm (-2)) might provide a competitive approach toward the development of three-dimensional capacitors for the terabyte ferroelectric random access memory.  相似文献

The 5‐HT7 receptor (5‐HT7R) is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of depression and neuropathic pain. The 5‐HT7R antagonist SB‐269970 exhibited antidepressant‐like activity, whereas systemic administration of the 5‐HT7R agonist AS‐19 significantly inhibited mechanical hypersensitivity and thermal hyperalgesia. In our efforts to discover selective 5‐HT7R antagonists or agonists, aryl biphenyl‐3‐ylmethylpiperazines were designed, synthesized, and biologically evaluated against the 5‐HT7R. Among the synthesized compounds, 1‐([2′‐methoxy‐(1,1′‐biphenyl)‐3‐yl]methyl)‐4‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)piperazine ( 28 ) was the best binder to the 5‐HT7R (pKi=7.83), and its antagonistic property was confirmed by functional assays. The selectivity profile of compound 28 was also recorded for the 5‐HT7R over other serotonin receptor subtypes, such as 5‐HT1R, 5‐HT2R, 5‐HT3R, and 5‐HT6R. In a molecular modeling study, the 2‐methoxyphenyl moiety attached to the piperazine ring of compound 28 was proposed to be essential for the antagonistic function.  相似文献

Ready-to-eat baby-leaf vegetable market has been rapidly growing and offering to consumers convenient and appealing products, rich in health beneficial bioactive compounds. In the present study, the composition of carotenoids, tocopherols, and fatty acids were analyzed in seven baby-leaf vegetables using HPLC–DAD and GC–MS. Among the vegetables, the maximum amount (μg/g FW) of All-E-violaxanthin (42.77), 9′-Z-neoxanthin (22.13), All-E-lutein (69.67), All-E-β-carotene (60.18), total carotenoids (195.21), γ-tocopherol (19.68) and total tocopherol (47.68) were found in Batavian lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var. Acephala). In all the studied baby-leaf vegetables, α-linolenic acid (ALA, C18:3) was found in highest quantity (44.73–54.39 %) followed by palmitic acid (C16:0) (13.02–19.49 %), and linoleic acid (C18:2) (8.25–21.54 %). Significantly high amount polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) were recorded in Batavian lettuce (74.33 %) and red Romaine (72.72 %), compared to other studied vegetables. In view of health benefits, baby-leaf vegetables contain a low amount of saturated fatty acids and high-mono and PUFA, which can enhance the health benefits of these vegetables. Carotenoids in most of these studied baby-leaf vegetables can be classified as very high. Knowledge of carotenoid, tocopherols and fatty acids composition in different baby-leaf vegetables will be useful to nutritional experts for selection of nutrient-dense plants for food fortification and proper diet recommendation. To our knowledge, this is the first report on fatty acids composition from baby-leaf vegetables.  相似文献

This study was conducted to determine if glutinous rice flour (GRF) could be a functional food additive to potentially replace corn starch (CS), soy protein isolate (SPI) and/or sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) to improve the physicochemical and organoleptic characteristics of seasoned beef patties. GRF had a lower cook loss among the treatment groups due to an increase in fat and moisture retentions (p<0.05). GRF lowered texture profile values for hardness, gumminess, springiness, and chewiness (p<0.05) of the patties, which are generally beneficial for this product. The beef patties with GRF were juicier and more tender than the control and other treatments (p<0.05). Hedonic scores for juiciness, tenderness and overall acceptability were the highest for the beef patties with 1 and 3% GRFs, suggesting that GRF may be an effective functional ingredient to improve the textural quality of seasoned beef patties.  相似文献

A compact monopole antenna excited by a conductor‐backed coplanar waveguide (CBCPW) is developed for wireless USB dongle applications. The proposed antenna has a compact dimension of 14 mm × 47.4 mm × 3.5 mm, which is suitable for a USB dongle housing. A slotted elliptical patch and a CBCPW with vertical vias are employed to achieve a further size reduction and an improved impedance bandwidth. The measurement result demonstrates that the fabricated antenna resonates from 2.25 GHz to 10.9 GHz, which covers all of the important wireless communication bands, including WiBro (2.3 GHz to 2.4 GHz), Bluetooth (2.4 GHz to 2.484 GHz), WiMAX (2.5 GHz to 2.7 GHz and 3.4 GHz to 3.6 GHz), satellite DMB (2.605 GHz to 2.655 GHz), 802.11b/g/a WLAN (2.4 GHz to 2.485 GHz and 5.15 GHz to 5.825 GHz), and ultra‐wideband (3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz) services. The radiation characteristics of the proposed antenna when attached to a laptop are tested to investigate the influence of the keypad and the LCD panel of the laptop.  相似文献
