Hybrid nanostructures consisting of tungsten oxide nanorods with mushroom-shaped carbon caps were grown on electrochemically etched tungsten tips by thermal chemical vapor deposition with methane and argon. These nanorods grow along the radial direction and are very straight and smooth. Electron microscopy revealed a dominant diameter and length of approximately 50 nm and approximately 0.6 microm, respectively. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) revealed the presence of crystalline monoclinic W18O49 in the nanorods, and the cap was entirely amorphous carbon. A plausible growth mechanism involves the reduction of tungsten oxide WO3, present on the tungsten surface, by methane at 900 degrees C.  相似文献

This article presents the development of the Control-oriented, Reconfigurable, and Acausal Floating Turbine Simulator (CRAFTS). CRAFTS has a modular, hierarchical model architecture that enables rapid and accurate simulation of wind turbines. The architecture facilitates the incorporation of model variants, and its system reconfiguration features help simulate multiple design variants. CRAFTS also supports the integration of models developed on a causality-free platform (e.g., Modelica®) with existing causal models. This article focuses on the validation of a land-based wind turbine models against OpenFAST, an industry-standard platform, for several test cases. Closed-loop scenarios are also tested using the standard ROSCO controller and compared against OpenFAST. In addition, a nonlinear controller developed in our prior work is also evaluated. The test cases demonstrate the user-friendly and computationally efficient capabilities of CRAFTS to facilitate control co-design, assist in incorporating multiphysics models, be adaptable to design variants, and allow for rapid simulations to validate models and evaluate controllers.  相似文献

Parallel execution of application programs on a multiprocessor system may lead to performance degradation if the workload of a parallel region is not large enough to amortize the overheads associated with the parallel execution. Furthermore, if too many processes are running on the system in a multiprogrammed environment, the performance of the parallel application may degrade due to resource contention. This work proposes a comprehensive dynamic processor allocation scheme that takes both program behavior and system load into consideration when dynamically allocating processors. This mechanism was implemented on the Solaris operating system to dynamically control the execution of parallel C and Java application programs. Performance results show the effectiveness of this scheme in dynamically adapting to the current execution environment and program behavior, and that it outperforms a conventional time‐shared system.
