The progression of chronic liver disease differs by etiology. The aim of this study was to elucidate the difference in disease progression between chronic hepatitis C (CHC) and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) by means of fibrosis markers, liver function, and hepatic tissue blood flow (TBF). Xenon computed tomography (Xe-CT) was performed in 139 patients with NAFLD and 152 patients with CHC (including liver cirrhosis (LC)). The cutoff values for fibrosis markers were compared between NAFLD and CHC, and correlations between hepatic TBF and liver function tests were examined at each fibrosis stage. The cutoff values for detection of the advanced fibrosis stage were lower in NAFLD than in CHC. Although portal venous TBF (PVTBF) correlated with liver function tests, PVTBF in initial LC caused by nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH-LC) was significantly lower than that in hepatitis C virus (C-LC) (p = 0.014). Conversely, the liver function tests in NASH-LC were higher than those in C-LC (p < 0.05). It is important to recognize the difference between NAFLD and CHC. We concluded that changes in hepatic blood flow occurred during the earliest stage of hepatic fibrosis in patients with NAFLD; therefore, patients with NAFLD need to be followed carefully.  相似文献

Simple transition metal oxides such as NiO, Co3O4, Fe3O4 and Cu2O were found to catalytically decompose water into H2 and O2 by mechanical energy. The reaction is regarded as “mechano-catalytic” overall water splitting” and is a quite novel catalytic reaction. In this paper, some general aspects on the mechano-catalytic overall water splitting are reviewed on simple oxides. In addition, recent results on the mechano-catalytic activity of a groups of mixed oxides, wolramite-type oxides with a formula of ABO4 (A=Fe, Co, Ni and Cu, etc., B=W, Mo), are shown. AWO4 (A=Fe, Co, Ni and Cu) decomposed water into H2 and O2 under the supply of mechanical energy, indicating that mechano-catalytic overall water splitting proceeded on wolframite-type compounds containing 3d-transition metals. AMoO4 (A=Fe, Co, Ni) also decomposed water into H2 and O2 under supply of mechanical energy. The reaction properties on wolframite-type oxides are discussed.  相似文献

The exacting quality required of hemispherical heavy-walled steel castings, used in nuclear power applications, has been remarkably improved by the adoption of a newly developed metal-mould process. This technique is dependent on the use of a metal core. The optimum conditions for solidification were determined by the finite element analytical method. The appropriate wall-thickness of the chill elements was also investigated using data based on actual experience. The core was designed in such a manner that the surface carried a series of concave “dimples” in the manner of a golf-ball, the pattern being intended to prevent the formation of cracks, generated on the casting surface when in contact with a metal mould. Stresses caused by solidification shrinkage were reduced by splitting the core. In the event, the casting structure conformed well to the results of the solidification analysis. Radiographic examination revealed a high level of soundness, with no trace of internal defects. No anisotropy was detected in mechanical properties. It is shown that this process is being currently employed in the manufacture of actual products.  相似文献

The feasibility of a direct internal reforming (DIR) solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) running on wet palm‐biodiesel fuel (BDF) was demonstrated. Simultaneous production of H2‐rich syngas and electricity from BDF could be achieved. A power density of 0.32 W cm?2 was obtained at 0.4 A cm?2 and 800 °C under steam to carbon ratio of 3.5. Subsequent durability testing revealed that a DIR‐SOFC running on wet palm‐BDF exhibited a stable voltage of around 0.8 V at 0.2 A cm?2 for more than 1 month with a degradation rate of approximately 15 % / 1000 h. Methane+ethane+1,1-dimethylcyclohexane+water system was investigated by using Raman spectroscopy and isothermal phase equilibrium measurements under four-phase (gas+aqueous+large guest species+hydrate phases) equilibrium conditions at 288.15 K. The results suggest that three kinds of hydrate structures emerge at 288.15 K in the methane+ethane+1,1-dimethylcyclohexane+water system. The hydrate structure for this system changed from structure-H to structure-I via structure-II with increase in the mole ratio of ethane to methane.  相似文献

The transamination reaction of l-phenylalanine with pyruvate as catalyzed by the artificial transaminase formed with synthetic bilayer aggregates was examined in aqueous media under mild kinetic conditions. Each catalyst system was constructed with a combination of a synthetic peptide lipid, a hydrophobic vitamin B6 derivative, and metal ions. Modification of the active site in the present artificial transaminase was performed by changing a combination of molecular components constituting the catalytic system. While the catalytic activity was scarcely influenced by differences in aggregate structure, single- or multi-walled bilayer, and in copper-(II) concentration, molecular structures of the hydrophobic vitamin B6 and an amino acid residue of the peptide lipid had significant effects on the reactivity.  相似文献

The authors invented the transXend detector, which measures X-rays as electric currents, and then gives the energy distribution of the X-rays after an unfolding process. In a previous paper, it was shown that the material thickness distributions can be estimated with the transXend detector by using reference points plotted from the electric current ratios, such as the I 2/I 1 ? I 3/I 1 graph, where Ii denotes the electric current measured by the i-th segment of the transXend detector. In this paper, the tomographic images of iodine, aluminum, and the acrylic those surround the other two materials are reconstructed from their material thickness distributions, which are estimated from two X-ray incidence directions. The X-ray event ratios are also used to estimate the material thickness distributions.  相似文献

X-ray computed tomography (CT) with iodine contrast agent is widely employed to locate cancers. However, this method has shortcomings such as high-radiation dose exposure, iodine side effects, and a beam hardening effect. We have been working on the energy-resolved CT measurement method using a novel X-ray detection system, the “transXend” detector, which measures X-rays as electric currents and gives the energy distribution of incident X-rays after analysis. In the present study, we propose a method for low-dose exposure CT that involves the combination of the energy-resolved CT method, which is free from the beam hardening effect, and a harmless contrast agent with high-energy K-edge absorption, such as gold nanoparticles expected as a future contrast agent. Comparisons of radiation dose exposures as functions of aluminum filter thickness at the exit aperture of an X-ray tube and the K-edge energies of contrast agents are described.  相似文献

Tungsten deposits were produced by sputtering method using hydrogen isotope RF plasma, and the density and the incorporated components in the deposits were investigated. The density changed in the range from 14.2 g/cm3 to 6.1 g/cm3, and hydrogen isotope retention changed in the range from 0.25 to 0.05 as (H + D)/W by the difference of deposition conditions. Both the density and hydrogen isotope retention tended to decrease with an increase of pressure. Even though a deuterium gas was used for producing tungsten deposits, not only deuterium but also hydrogen, oxygen and water vapor were incorporated in the deposits. It is considered that the incorporation of these components originated in water vapor unintentionally existing in the vacuum chamber.  相似文献
