Crystallization of potassium titanate from the amorphous phase   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
By using amorphous potassium titanates as the starting materials, a sintered body of K2Ti4O9 or K2Ti6O13 with porous and fibrous textures was prepared. K2Ti2O5 and a new phase, K6Ti4O11 were synthesized by the thermal reaction of KNO3 with TiO2 at 1000° C for 10 to 20 h. On leaching in water to expel excess of potassium ions, both phases became amorphous. After mixing and moulding these amorphous materials in the desired proportion, a sintered body containing fibrous crystals of K2Ti4O9 was readily fabricated by heating at 1000° C for 12 h. When 5 wt % B2O3 was added to the amorphous phases, single phase K2Ti6O13, with a fibrous texture grew well on heating at 1000° C for 12 h. Addition of PVA polymer to the amorphous phases was responsible for controlling the porosity of the sintered body, e.g. about 52% theoretical density at 20 wt% PVA polymer. The optimum conditions for preparing the amorphous phases were systematically examined and the effect of the chemical reaction environments, such as different crucible materials on the calcination of KNO3 and TiO2 were also discussed.  相似文献

Local strain at the notch-root and its effect on fatigue crack initiation was investigated in four metals by the real-time, fine-grid method. Special attention was focused on local notch-root strain behaviour until crack initiation. From the application of strain hysteresis at the notch root, the maximum strain under loading conditions during each cycle was investigated in detail. One of the main results was that the maximum strain value at the first cycle of the fatigue test coincided with that at crack initiation. Maximum strain defined from the cyclic strain changes at the notch root was proposed as one possible parameter for estimating fatigue crack initiation life. Based on the curvilinear relationship between maximum strain and number of cycles to crack initiation, a new life evaluation method for fatigue crack initiation is proposed. This approach differs fundamentally from the usual fracture mechanics method based on the stress intensity factor.  相似文献

Si3N4-based ceramics, such as hot isostatically pressed Si3N4, hot-pressed Si3N4, hot-pressed sialons containing 0, 30, 60 and 100% a phase, were corroded by K2SO4 and K2CO3 melts at 1150 to 1300 and 925 to 1150° C, respectively. The surface chemical reaction-controlled shrinking core model adequately described the relationship between the weight loss of the specimen and time for the corrosion reactions in both K2SO4 and K2CO3 melts, and the apparent activation energies were 380 to 608 and 157 to 344 kJ mol?1, respectively. The corrosion rate in K2CO3 melt decreased with increasing content of aluminium and yttrium ions in the specimens, but no systematic relation was observed for the reaction in K2SO4 melts. The fracture strength of the specimens corroded by K2SO4 and K2CO3 melts degraded to 2/3 to 2/5 of the original values up to a 2% weight loss, and then was almost constant up to 30% weight loss.  相似文献

Initial permeabilities of Co-Zr-Nb amorphous single and multilayered films were measured in the frequency range 1-250 MHz. The results are correlated to those of anisotropy dispersion measurements. The multilayered films are relatively free from demagnetizing effects, which leads to good frequency characteristics of the permeability.  相似文献

Small sample properties of the maximum partial likelihood estimates for Cox's proportional hazards model depend on the sample size, the true values of regression coefficients, covariate structure, censoring pattern and possibly baseline hazard functions. Therefore, it would be difficult to construct a formula or table to calculate the exact power of a statistical test for the treatment effect in any specific clinical trial. The simulation program, written in SAS/IML, described in this paper uses Monte-Carlo methods to provide estimates of the exact power for Cox's proportional hazards model. For illustrative purposes, the program was applied to real data obtained from a clinical trial performed in Japan. Since the program does not assume any specific function for the baseline hazard, it is, in principle, applicable to any censored survival data as long as they follow Cox's proportional hazards model.  相似文献

A 215 MVA flywheel motor-generator is used for the toroidal field coil power supply system of the energy breakeven plasma testing facility, JT-60, which started operations in April, 1985 at JAPAN ATOMIC ENERGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE. This paper describes an outline of the flywheel motor-generator and discusses the determination of the Xd' value which affects the voltage regulation characteristic of the motor-generator and the twenty-four pulse rectifier circuit, the compensation effect of AVR for the voltage regulation characteristic, the temperature rise and stress of the flywheel which is the largest one in the world and the torsional vibration caused by a thyristor starter, together with the results of field tests.  相似文献

Two approaches to fiber-optic subscriber loop system development in Japan are described. In the first. Approach I, NTT aims at introducing inexpensive fiber-optic subscriber loop systems using conventional LED's, multimode fiber, and analog transmission techniques in the near future. In the second, Approach II, fiber-optic subscriber loop systems will be made highly functional by evolving from analog to digital transmission. This paper presents system fabrication examples for each approach and the results obtained in the tests.  相似文献

Recent years have been characterized by marked progress in industrial instrumentation and mechatronics control technology. This year commemorates the fifth publication year of the IEEJ Journal of Industry Applications (emIEEJ J. IA). Additionally, the Mechatronics Control (MEC) technical committee was formed 3 years ago following a separation from the Industrial Instruments and Control (IIC) technical committee in order to further enhance their respective social contributions. The increased activity of both committees also contributed to the progress of the Journal. This paper discusses the recent advances and outlook in the technical field of industrial instrumentation and mechatronics control based on papers published in the IEEJ J. In this study we prepared aqueous solutions of lipid-membrane incorporated tetraarylporphyrins and tetrapyridylporphyrin (LMIPors) by the injection method using dimethyl sulfoxide. The porphyrins with proton-donor groups at the meso position afforded stable aqueous solutions of LMIPors. However, although tetrakis(carboxyphenyl)porphyrin was scarcely incorporated in lipid membranes, it was soluble in water. Among these LMIPors, the photodynamic activity of tetrakis(hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin was higher than that of tetrakis(aminophenyl)porphyrin. This was attributed to the self-aggregation of a part of tetrakis(aminophenyl)porphyrin in the liposomes, which induced self-quenching and the consequent decrease of its photodynamic activity.  相似文献

To reveal the effect of the nigrosine dye, that the addition of the dye lowers the crystallization point (Tc) of molten polyamide resins with substantially no shift in the melting point (Tm), thus suppressing the crystallization enhancement of the crystalline nucleation agents, the characteristics of polyamide 66 (PA‐66) containing nigrosine dye EX (N‐EX) were investigated. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis showed that the addition of N‐EX reduced the crystallization rate and Tc of molten PA‐66 with substantially no shift in Tm, and the crystallization enthalpy per unit of weight of PA‐66 was substantially constant. Tc of molten PA‐66 was lowered with an increase in the amount of N‐EX and reached its maximum at 13 wt % N‐EX. Dynamic mechanical analysis showed that the glass‐transition temperature and the secondary glass‐transition temperature increased with an increasing amount of the dye. On the other hand, the DSC and X‐ray diffraction results indicated that no dye molecule was present in the crystal structure of PA‐66. This effect of the nigrosine dye on PA‐66 is in contrast to those of crystalline nucleation agents, plasticizers, and antiplasticizers. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
