ABSTRACT: Hypsizigus marmoreus was cultivated in potato‐sucrose‐agar (PSA) and in sawdust media supplemented with Ca or Mg salts. The radial growth of mycelia was determined. The mushroom spawn did not grow on PSA supplemented with Ca carbonate, Mg carbonate, or Mg hydroxide. However, the mycelia grew well on sawdust media supplemented with Ca phosphate, Ca carbonate, or Mg sulfate. Ca of the fruiting body was increased 4.0 to 5.6 times by 1% to 5% of Ca phosphate or Ca carbonate. Mg was increased 1.4 times by 0.5% of Mg sulfate or Mg chloride. 相似文献

We conducted a survey of aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, and G2, ochratoxin A, and fumonisin B1, B2, and B3 contamination in various foods on the retail market in Japan in 2004 and 2005. The mycotoxins were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, or high-performance thin-layer chromatography. Aflatoxins were detected in 10 of 21 peanut butter samples; the highest concentration of aflatoxin B1 was 2.59 microg/kg. Aflatoxin contamination was not found in corn products, corn, peanuts, buckwheat flour, dried buckwheat noodles, rice, or sesame oil. Ochratoxin A was detected in oatmeal, wheat flour, rye, buckwheat flour, green coffee beans, roasted coffee beans, raisins, beer, and wine but not in rice or corn products. Ochratoxin A concentrations in contaminated samples were below 0.8 microg/kg. Fumonisins were detected in popcorn, frozen corn, corn flakes, and corn grits. The highest concentrations of fumonisins B1, B2, and B3 in these samples were 354.0, 94.0, and 64.0 microg/kg, respectively. 相似文献

Migration of bisphenol A (BPA) and benzophenones, i.e., benzophenone (BZ), 4-(dimethylamino)benzophenone (DMAB), Michler's ketone (MK) and 4,4'-bis(diethylamino)benzophenone (DEAB), from 21 paper and paperboard products (15 recycled paperboard boxes and 6 virgin paper products) used in contact with food was examined. Migration levels of compounds from recycled paperboard were compared under various food-simulating conditions. BPA showed the highest migration into 20% ethanol and benzophenones into 95% ethanol. No compounds migrated from virgin paper products, but compounds did migrate into food simulants from recycled paperboard food boxes. BPA migrated into 20% ethanol from all recycled paperboard food boxes between 1.0 and 18.7 ng/mL. Into 95% ethanol, migration of BZ was observed in 8 samples (1.0-18.9 ng/mL), DMAB in 12 samples (1.2-3.7 ng/mL), MK in 13 samples (1.9-9.0 ng/mL), and DEAB in 13 samples (1.0-10.6 ng/mL). The highest migration level was 27.2 ng/mL and most of the migration levels were below 10 ng/mL. These values are sufficiently low compared with the TDI and NOAEL levels. Moreover, the amount of food in daily meals that comes into contact with paperboard products is relatively small. Urushi wax is a natural gum base used as a food additive. In order to evaluate the quality of urushi wax as a food additive and to obtain information useful for setting official standards, we investigated the constituents and their concentrations in urushi wax, using the same sample as scheduled for toxicity testing. After methanolysis of urushi wax, the composition of fatty acids was analyzed by GC/MS. The results indicated that the main fatty acids were palmitic acid, oleic acid and stearic acid. LC/MS analysis of urushi wax provided molecular-related ions of the main constituents. The main constituents were identified as triglycerides, namely glyceryl tripalmitate (30.7%), glyceryl dipalmitate monooleate (21.2%), glyceryl dioleate monopalmitate (2.1%), glyceryl monooleate monopalmitate monostearate (2.6%), glyceryl dipalmitate monostearate (5.6%), glyceryl distearate monopalmitate (1.4%). Glyceryl dipalmitate monooleate isomers differing in the binding sites of each constituent fatty acid could be separately determined by LC/MS/MS. 相似文献

The identification test for thickening polysaccharides containing neutral saccharides and uronic acids was investigated by GC analysis of constituent monosaccharides. The reported method, in which monosaccharides were converted to diethyldithioacetal derivatives with ethanethiol followed by trimethylsilylation, was improved in terms of operability and reproducibility of GC/MS analysis. The suitability of the improved diethyldithioacetal derivatization method was determined for seven thickening polysaccharides, i.e., carob bean gum, guar gum, karaya gum, gum arabic, gum ghatti, tragacanth gum and peach gum. The samples were acid-hydrolyzed to form monosaccharides. The hydrolysates were derivatized and analyzed with GC/FID. Each sugar derivative was detected as a single peak and was well separated from others on the chromatograms. The amounts of constituent monosaccharides in thickening polysaccharides were successfully estimated. Seven polysaccharides were distinguished from each other on the basis of constituent monosaccharides. Further examination of the time period of hydrolysis of polysaccharides using peach gum showed that the optimal times were not the same for all monosaccharides. A longer time was needed to hydrolyze glucuronic acid than neutral saccharides. The findings suggest that hydrolysis time may sometimes affect the analytical results on composition of constituent monosaccharides in polysaccharides. 相似文献

Catechins [(−)-epicatechin (EC), (−)-epigallocatechin (EGC), (−)-epicatechin gallate (ECG) and (−)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)] were analysed by HPLC using an ODS column, an electrochemical detector (0.75 V vs. Ag/AgCl) and an eluting solvent composed of water containing buffer (84% v/v), acetonitrile (12% v/v) and ethylacetate (4% v/v) in the presence of metal ions (Cu2+, Fe2+ and Fe3+). HPLC peaks were affected by metal ions: the peak intensities of ECG and EGCG decreased, but the peak intensities of EC and EGC were not affected seriously. Fe2+ most markedly decreased the peak intensities of EGCG. EDTA was added to mask metal ions and an optimum condition was proposed. The effects of the metal ions on HPLC analysis are discussed from the viewpoints of metal complex formation with catechins and oxidation of catechins on the basis of ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectrophotometry, electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). 相似文献

We revealed the arrangement of single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) which is suitable for the adsorption of hydrogen by means of grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulation with simple cylindrical model. Here, we calculated the amount of adsorbed hydrogen with triangular lattice (TL) and square lattice (SL) model for the bundle structure with various kinds of tube diameters (D) and inter-axis distances (Ra). Our results indicate that any arrangements having smaller Ra are not suitable for the storage of hydrogen and the adsorption amount of hydrogen can be achieved the target value (6 wt.% and 45 kg m−3) proposed by Department of Energy (DOE) in United States by SWNTs having larger Ra at 77 K and 1 MPa. Furthermore, these results show that the best arrangement of SWNTs for the adsorption of hydrogen at this condition is TL structure having Ra = 2.159 nm and D = 1.227 nm. 相似文献

We characterized a high malic acid production mechanism in sake yeast strain No. 28. No considerable differences in the activity of the enzymes that were involved in malic acid synthesis were observed between strain No. 28 and its parent strain, K1001. However, compared with strain K1001, which actively took up rhodamine 123 during staining, the cells of strain No. 28 were only lightly stained, even when cultured in high glucose concentrations. In addition, malic acid production by the respiratory-deficient strain of K1001 was 2.5-fold higher than that of the wild-type K1001 and wild-type No. 28. The findings of this study demonstrated that the high malic acid production by strain No. 28 is attributed to the suppression of mitochondrial activity. 相似文献

To evaluate on a laboratory scale the influence of veterinary medicinal products (VMPs) excreted into feces on manure fermentation, we have developed an evaluation method that uses a small-scale composting apparatus. Each run is of approximately 3 kg scale and the operation can be conducted in an environmentally controlled laboratory. The main evaluation parameter is calorific value generated by aerobic fermentation. At the sulfadimethoxine (SDM) trial, the volume of CO(2) generated during fermentation and the disappearance of the inhibitory effect of immature manure on sprouting (using Komatsuna (Brassica rapa var. perviridis)) were measured. In addition, DNA of 16S rRNA was extracted from a manure sample and subjected to denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). The results suggest that the presence of such VMPs in feces affected the microbial community in manure fermentation, and indicate that the evaluation method may be used as a standard method to evaluate the effect of VMPs on the microbial community. Using the method, we obtained data of the influence of five VMPs approved for stockbreeding in Japan on swine manure fermentation. Erythromycin (EM) affected the calorific value even at a relatively low concentration (105 mg/3 kg manure). In contrast, oxytetracycline hydrochloride (OTC), norfloxacin (NFLX), and tylosin tartrate (TS) had no effect at that concentration. These VMPs also affected the increase of fermentation temperature when added at high concentrations. 相似文献
