The oxidative stability of mixtures of edible oils containing polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was investigated. The mixtures studied consisted of oils of either camelina (CAM), cod liver (CLO), or salmon (SO) mixed with either colloidal or powdered MCC. A 50:50 (w/w) ratio of oil:MCC resulted in an applicable mixture containing high levels of PUFA edible oil and dietary fiber. The oxidative stability of the formulated mixtures and the pure oils was investigated over a period of 28 days. The peroxide value (PV) was assessed as a parameter for primary oxidation products and dynamic headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was used to analyze secondary volatile organic compounds (VOC). CAM and the respective mixtures were oxidatively stable at both 4 and 22 °C during the storage period. The marine oils and the respective mixtures were stable at 4 °C. At 22 °C, an increase in hydroperoxides was found, but no increase in VOC was detected during the time-frame investigated. At 42 °C, prominent increases in PV and VOC were found for all oils and mixtures. Hexanal, a common marker for the degradation of n-6 fatty acids, propanal and 2,4-heptadienal (E,E), common indicators for the degradation of n-3 fatty acids, were among the volatiles detected in the headspace of oils and mixtures. This study showed that a mixture containing a 50:50 ratio of oil:MCC can be obtained by a low-tech procedure that does not induce oxidation when stored at low temperatures during a period of 1 month.  相似文献

In this paper the microscopical structure of wedge bonded interfaces is investigated, with a focus on what effect the power in the ultrasonic bonding and the initial microscopical structure of the \(Al\) wire have on the quality of the bonding. The quality evaluation is based on mapping the microscopical restructuring of the wire grains during bonding and thereby assessing the effective bonding area. Three approaches are utilized in the interface characterization: mechanical shear test, optical microscopy combined with micro-sectioning, and scanning electron microscopy assisted by focused ion beam milling. The shear test is applied to quantify the strength of the bonded interfaces, while the other methods are used to map the grain reconstruction caused by the bonding. From the results it is possible to map a 3D image of the wire deformation, and the grain refinement region which is the dominating parameter with respect to fatigue related cracking of the interfaces. It is found that the bonding power, as well as the initial wire structure directly affects the refinement region and thereby the strength of the interface.  相似文献

Differential graphical games have been introduced in the literature to solve state synchronization problem for linear homogeneous agents. When the agents are heterogeneous, the previous notion of graphical games cannot be used anymore and a new definition is required. In this paper, we define a novel concept of differential graphical games for linear heterogeneous agents subject to external unmodeled disturbances, which contain the previously introduced graphical game for homogeneous agents as a special case. Using our new formulation, we can solve both the output regulation and H output regulation problems. Our graphical game framework yields coupled Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Bellman equations, which are, in general, impossible to solve analytically. Therefore, we propose a new actor‐critic algorithm to solve these coupled equations numerically in real time. Moreover, we find an explicit upper bound for the overall ‐gain of the output synchronization error with respect to disturbance. We demonstrate our developments by a simulation example.  相似文献

We examined effects of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), their corresponding hydroperoxy fatty acids (hp-PUFA), as well as various pro- and antioxidants on the growth of tumor cells in culture. When cultured in RPMI 1640 medium, A-427 and WEHI clone 13 cells were both highly sensitive to hydroperoxy docosahexaenoic acid (hp-DHA), but they were far less sensitive in minimum essential medium (MEM). In contrast, A-427 cells were also sensitive to DHA in both culture media, while WEHI clone 13 cells, as well as other cell lines, tested in their respective media, were resistant. The lower sensitivity of the cell lines to hp-DHA in MEM-medium was apparently due to a more rapid reduction of hp-DHA to the corre-sponding hydroxy-DHA in MEM-medium. Addition of glutathione (GSH) to the culture medium abolished the effects of hp-DHA, but not the effects of DHA, while depletion of intracellular GSH levels by L-buthionine-S,R-sulfoximine strongly enhanced the cytotoxic effect of hp-DHA, but not the cytotoxic effect of DHA. α-Tocopherol protected A-427 cells against the toxic effect of DHA and abolished the induced lipid peroxidation, while it did not protect against the toxic effects of hp-DHA in A-427 or WEHI clone 13 cells. Ascorbic acid reduced the cytotoxic effect of DHA, but potentiated the toxic effect of hp-DHA while selenite essentially abolished the toxicity of both DHA and hp-DHA. These results indicate that sensitivity of tumor cell lines to PUFA and their oxidation products depends on their antioxidant defense mechanisms, as well as culture conditions, and establishes hp-DHA as a major, but probably not the sole, metabolite responsible for cytotoxicity of DHA.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a scientific format for text-based data files, which facilitates storing and communicating tabular data sets. The so-called Full-Metadata Format builds on the widely used INI-standard and is based on four principles: readable self-documentation, flexible structure, fail-safe compatibility, and searchability. As a consequence, all metadata required to interpret the tabular data are stored in the same file, allowing for the automated generation of publication-ready tables and graphs and the semantic searchability of data file collections. The Full-Metadata Format is introduced on the basis of three comprehensive examples. The complete format and syntax are given in the appendix.  相似文献

Active power converters are flexible and highly dynamic. Many power converters, as battery charging devices, use only a small part of their technical capabilities. This paper develops a new control method that combines the primary converter function with grid frequency control. Doing this, the frequency stability can be influenced positively, using the power converters control potential, without penetrating its primary functions under normal power system conditions. In case of severe frequency deviations, priority is given to this grid support functionality, which can significantly improve the security of supply. If the converter’s control algorithm does not take frequency stability aspects into consideration, the impact of thousands of these devices on the grid frequency stability will be negative. Electric and hybrid cars with battery storage and plug-in capabilities are used as an example for power conversion units. The impact of many cars, with the referred control method, on the UCTE (Union for the Co-ordination of Transmission of Electricity) grid frequency can be observed by simulations. Even a small percentage of electric cars can significantly influence the grid frequency after a power plant disconnection fault. No communication between network operator and converter is necessary for the basic grid supporting functions. Dispersed frequency support as suggested by the developed control method could be adopted as a requirement to future grid codes.  相似文献

Monomeric RGD peptides show unspecific fluid-phase uptake in cells, whereas multimeric RGD peptides are thought to be internalized by integrin-mediated endocytosis. However, a potential correlation between uptake mechanism and molecular mass has been neglected so far. A dual derivatization of peptide c(RGDw(7Br)K) was performed to investigate this. A fluorescent probe was installed by chemoselective Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling of the 7-bromotryptophan and a poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) linker was attached to the lysine residue. Flow cytometry and live cell imaging confirmed unspecific uptake of the small, non-PEGylated peptide, whereas the PEG5000 peptide conjugate unveiled a selective internalization by M21 cells overexpressing αvβ3 and no uptake in αv-deficient M21L cells.  相似文献
