We consider the problem of finding a cutset in a directed graph G=(V,E)G=(V,E), i.e., a set of vertices that cuts all cycles in G  . Finding a cutset of minimum cardinality is NP-hard. There exist several approximate and exact algorithms, most of them using graph reduction techniques. In this paper, we propose a constraint programming approach to cutset problems and design a global constraint for computing cutsets. This cutset constraint is a global constraint over boolean variables associated to the vertices of a given graph and states that the subgraph restricted to the vertices having their boolean variable set to true is acyclic. We propose a filtering algorithm based on graph contraction operations and inference of simple boolean constraints, that has a linear time complexity in O(|E|+|V|)O(|E|+|V|). We discuss search heuristics based on graph properties provided by the cutset constraint, and show the efficiency of the cutset constraint on benchmarks of the literature for pure minimum cutset problems, and on an application to log-based reconciliation problems where the global cutset constraint is mixed with other boolean constraints.  相似文献

The technique used is that of inversion of a linear differential operator with constant coefficients. In the current research, organic solar cells (OSCs) with various concentrations of pentacene in Poly(ethylenedioxythiopene):Poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) interface layer were investigated for better hole extraction. The ITO/Pentacene?+?PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM/Al-fabricated solar cell fabricated via brush coating provides superior photovoltaic, electrical and optical characteristics when compared with the ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM/Al solar cell. The ITO/Pentacene?+?PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM/Al solar cells deliver a VOC ~350?mV and 2.57% efficiency. It is observed that the optimized concentration of pentacene doping in PEDOT:PSS layer, along with an active layer of P3HT and PC60BM, doubles the efficiency of the device, when compared with pristine PEDOT:PSS layer. The degradation studies of the fabricated bulk heterojunction OSCs reveal that the degrading abilities of ITO/Pentacene?+?PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM/Al solar cells are 60% more better than those of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM/Al devices. Thus, this work will ultimately contribute toward fully solution processed painted device, which will provide low-cost manufacturing and improved stability of pentacene-based organic photovoltaics.  相似文献

An arrangement for heating with solar energy by means of a heat exchanger and storage coupled to the two water heaters has been described*. In the present paper, the amount of the heat transferred from water to air in the shell-and-tube heat exchanger and the temperature of the outgoing air have been estimated by considering various parameters, viz. flow rate and temperature of incoming air, temperature of incoming and outgoing water, length and diameter of tubes, etc. Both natural and forced convection mode of heat transfer have been considered.

Under boundary conditions of free convection, heat transfer would be rapid and efficient with a possible reduction in the pipe length. The maximum permissible limit of pressure drop per foot of each tube for pipes of different diameters at different Reynolds numbers has been given.

As conditions of drying vary from material to material, the data presented will help in arriving at the final design of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger to be used in drying a particular material.  相似文献

This paper present the second ordered statistics of first-ply failure response of laminated composite plate with random material properties under random loading. The basic formulation is based on higher order shear deformation plate theory (HSDT) with the geometrically nonlinearity in the von-Karman. The direct iterative based C0 nonlinear finite element method combined with mean centered first order perturbation technique developed by the authors are extended and successfully applied nonlinearity for failure problem with a reasonable accuracy to predict the second order statistics (standard deviation) of first-ply failure response using Tsai-Wu and Hoffman failure criterion with macroscopic analysis. Typical numerical results for various combinations of boundary conditions, plate thickness ratios, aspect ratios, laminates scheme and layers, elastic modulus ratios have been presented to illustrate the application of developed procedure. Some new results are presented and examined which clearly demonstrated the importance of the randomness in the system parameters in the failure response of the structures subjected to transverse loadings.  相似文献

Photogalvanic effects were studied in a photogalvanic cell containing toluidine blue, glucose and tergitol-7 as a photosensitizer, reductant and surfactant, respectively. The photocurrent and photopotential generated by this system were 70 μA and 315 mV, respectively. The effects of different parameters on the electrical output of the cell were observed. Current/voltage characteristics of the cell have also been studied, and a mechanism has been proposed for the generation of photocurrent in photogalvanic cell.  相似文献

Silver ions and silver-containing compounds have been used as topical antimicrobial agents in a variety of clinical situations. We have previously shown that the enzyme phosphomannose isomerase (PMI) is essential for the biosynthesis of Candida albicans cell walls. In this study, we find that PMI can be inhibited by silver ions. This process is shown to be irreversible, and is a two-step process, involving an intermediate complex with a dissociation constant, Ki, of 59 +/- 8 microM, and a maximum rate of inactivation of 0.25 +/- 0.04 min-1 in 50 mM Hepes buffer, pH 8.0 at 37 degrees C. The enzyme can be protected against this inactivation by the substrate mannose 6-phosphate, with a dissociation constant of 0.31 +/- 0.04 mM, close to its Km value. Flamazine (silver sulfadiazine) is a silver-containing antibiotic which is used clinically as a topical antimicrobial and antifungal agent. We compared the ability of silver sulfadiazine and two other silver-containing compounds to irreversibly inactivate C. albicans PMI. The addition of the organic moiety increased the affinity of the compounds, with silver sulfadiazine showing a Ki of 190 +/- 30 nM. In all cases, the maximum inhibition rate was similar, implying a similar rate-determining step. Silver sulfadiazine does not inhibit Escherichia coli PMI, and this suggests a role of the only free cysteine, Cys-150, in the inactivation process. To confirm this, we mutated this residue to alanine in C. albicans PMI. The resultant Cys150 --> Ala mutant protein showed similar Vm and Km values to the wild-type enzyme.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献
