Influence and adjustment goals: Sources of cultural differences in ideal affect.

Previous studies have found that in American culture high-arousal positive states (HAP) such as excitement are valued more and low-arousal positive states (LAP) such as calm are valued less than they are in Chinese culture. What specific factors account for these differences? The authors predicted that when people and cultures aimed to influence others (i.e., assert personal needs and change others' behaviors to meet those needs), they would value HAP more and LAP less than when they aimed to adjust to others (i.e., suppress personal needs and change their own behaviors to meet others' needs). They test these predictions in 1 survey and 3 experimental studies. The findings suggest that within and across American and Chinese contexts, differences in ideal affect are due to specific interpersonal goals. An experimental investigation of electrically thick rectangular microstrip antennas

The electromagnetic properties of electrically thick rectangular microstrip antennas were investigated experimentally. Antennas were fabricated with different patch sizes and with electrical thicknesses ranging from 0.03 to 0.23 wavelengths in the dielectric substrate. The resonant frequencies were measured and compared to existing formulas. The bandwidth was calculated as a function of electrical thickness and the antenna radiation patterns were measured.

碳/碳复合材料MoSi2/SiC涂层在动态氧化环境下的性能研究

为了考察MoSi₂/SiC防氧化涂层体系在动态氧化环境下的防护能力,对碳/碳复合材料MoSi₂/SiC涂层试样在1100~1500℃下进行了高温燃气高质流冲刷环境下的氧化试验。结果表明,在1100~1500℃的燃气动态环境下,具有稳定的氧化失重速率,氧化失重曲线近似呈直线关系,氧化失重和氧化失重速率均随着氧化温度的升高而降低,表现出该涂层抗高质流冲刷和氧化的能力随温度的升高而提高,在该温度区间内,随着温度的升高,具有更优异的抗氧化和抗高质流冲刷的能力。

��It is an important study subject concerning the filtration mechanics over the years to converselly determine the parameter texture (e.g. parameter recognition )in the inner system through observing the gas well pressure, production rate and water-gas ratio, in accordance with the working regulations for this gas field. By use of this method, some good results have been obtained in automatically matching the production history for eight years in the Jia-3 gas reservoir of Dengjingguan gas field.
