Microbial activity and then oxidation progress are the most important freshness indicators during post-mortem. In this study, we monitored proteomic and microbial changes, as well as biochemical degradation, in the tail and claw muscles of crayfish stored for 12 days at +4 °C. One specified protein band at 107 kDa in the claw muscle and two specified protein bands in the tail muscle at 140 and 36–40 kDa were identified. Western blotting indicated a higher amount of oxidised proteins in the tail compared to the claw muscle. Tail muscle showed higher oxidation progress and calpain activity than claw one. Both muscles were spoiled after 12 days with respect to total viable counts. In the first days, calpain activity is the main reason for protein degradation, while protein oxidation dominates for the rest of the time. Lipid–protein oxidation progress showed probably, protein oxidation started earlier than lipid oxidation in both muscles.  相似文献

An ultrasonic field was found to enhance the rate of mineral dissolution from Green River oil shale matrix when treated with dilute HCl. This effect was most pronounced forcoarse particles and minimal for finely pulverized shale. Data comparing the behaviour in an ultrasonic field with control specimens are presented in terms of gas evolution profiles, ion concentrations and gravimetric analyses.  相似文献

Recently, a new formula for multiplication of dependent G-intervals (intervals in affine form) has been proposed. This formula has been shown to lead to smaller overestimation of the product interval in comparison with other previously known results. An alternative multiplication rule is suggested in this paper which yields no overestimation, if certain simple monotonicity conditions are valid.  相似文献

The ionization potentials and the electron affinities of doped diamond were calculated using B3LYP hybrid density functional theory and nanocrystalline cluster models, while taking into account the quantum confinement of the charge carriers. In many cases donor and acceptor levels were created in the middle of the gap between the conduction and valence bands. A possible explanation for the n-type behavior created by co-doping diamond films with boron and sulfur is given in terms of thermally activated electron donation from an SVS (V is vacancy) donor to a BB acceptor band. Both lie deep in the band gap. It is proposed that electrons in the BB acceptor band are mobile charge carriers. It is also proposed that the conversion of boron-doped diamond from p-type conductivity, with hole charge carriers in the top of the valence band, to n-type conductivity, following treatment in a deuterium plasma, may arise from formation of interstitial hydrogen donor levels and BnHm acceptor levels that create an acceptor band in which electrons are mobile. Again, both are deep in the band gap of pure diamond. In a prior attempt to explain this n-type behavior, BHn defects with unrelaxed structures were proposed to be shallow donors to the diamond conduction band. This paper shows that these defects become deep donors when their structures are optimized. Finally, defects created from vacancies with 1 to 4 H in them are shown to be deep donors to the diamond conduction band.  相似文献

We propose a measure of the information rate of a single stationary neuronal activity with respect to the state of null information. The measure is based on the Kullback-Leibler distance between two interspike interval distributions. The selected activity is compared with the Poisson model with the same mean firing frequency. We show that the approach is related to the notion of specific information and that the method allows us to judge the relative encoding efficiency. Two classes of neuronal activity models are classified according to their information rate: the renewal process models and the first-order Markov chain models. It has been proven that information can be transmitted changing neither the spike rate nor the coefficient of variation and that the increase in serial correlation does not necessarily increase the information gain. We employ the simple, but powerful, Vasicek's estimator of differential entropy to illustrate an application on the experimental data coming from olfactory sensory neurons of rats.  相似文献

Present threats of energy shortages have placed an increasing importance on coal as a fossil fuel. Government restrictions on the maximum permissible S02 content in coal burning plant effluents have necessitated sulphur reduction processes. By using an apparatus developed by the researchers at the University of Western Ontario, it has been demonstrated that constituent macerals of the coal may be successfully triboelectrified and then separated in electrostatic fields. The electrification and separation of the pyrite maceral from coal by means of dilute phase fluidization and electric fields is discussed. Some results are also presented on the separation of the vitrinite, fusinite, exinite, and micrinite macerals as well as of coal fractions with high ash content. The results show the effectiveness of the triboelec-trification of the macerals in contact with one another and with the material used in the construction of the separator.  相似文献

Recently, an alternative interval approximation F(X) for enclosing a factorable function f(x) in a given box X has been suggested. The enclosure is in the form of an affine interval function F(X)= a i X i +B where only the additive term B is an interval, the coefficients a i being real numbers. The approximation is applicable to continuously differentiable, continuous and even discontinuous functions.In this paper, a new algorithm for determining the coefficients a i and the interval B of F(X) is proposed. It is based on the introduction of a specific generalized representation of intervals which permits the computation of the enclosure considered to be fully automated.  相似文献

The discovery of fatty acid esters of 3‐chloropropane‐1,2‐diol (3‐MCPD) in edible oil products initiated food monitoring campaigns in many EU Member States. As the determination of 3‐MCPD esters was new to most laboratories, questions on the reliability of the produced analysis data were raised. In response to this, the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM) of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) organised a proficiency test on the determination of 3‐chloropropane‐1,2‐diol esters (3‐MCPD esters) in edible oils. The aim of this proficiency test was to scrutinise the capabilities of official food control laboratories, private food control laboratories as well as laboratories from food industry to determine the 3‐MCPD esters content of edible oils. The study was carried out in accordance with “The International Harmonised Protocol for the Proficiency Testing of Analytical Chemistry Laboratories” and ISO Guide 43. The test materials dispatched to the participants were: refined palm oil, extra virgin olive oil spiked with 3‐chloropropane‐1,2‐dioleate and 3‐MCPD standard solution in sodium chloride. Altogether 41 laboratories from 11 EU Member States, Switzerland and Macedonia subscribed for participation in the study. The analysis task was to determine the 3‐MCPD esters content as total 3‐MCPD content of the test samples. Participants were free to choose their analysis methods. In total, 34 laboratories reported results to the organisers of the study. The performance of laboratories in the determination of 3‐MCPD esters in edible oils was expressed by z‐scores. About 56% of the participants performed satisfactorily in the determination of 3‐MCPD esters in palm oil and 85% for the spiked extra virgin olive oil test sample. The study revealed that the direct transesterification of the sample without the prior removal of glycidol esters might lead to strong positive bias.  相似文献

We present a systematic study of linear propagation of ultrashort laser pulses in media with dispersion, dispersionless media, and vacuum. The applied method of amplitude envelopes makes it possible to estimate the limits of the slowly varying amplitude approximation and to describe an amplitude integrodifferential equation governing propagation of optical pulses in the single-cycle regime in solids. The well-known slowly varying amplitude equation and the amplitude equation for the vacuum case are written in dimensionless form. Three parameters are obtained defining different linear regimes of optical pulse evolution. In contrast to previous studies we demonstrate that in the femtosecond region the nonparaxial terms are not small and can dominate over the transverse Laplacian. The normalized amplitude nonparaxial equations are solved using the method of Fourier transforms. Fundamental solutions with spectral kernels different from those according to Fresnel are found. Exact unidirectional analytical solution of the nonparaxial amplitude equations and the 3D wave equations with initial conditions compatible with Gaussian light bullets are obtained also. One unexpected new result is the relative stability of light bullets (pulses with spherical and spheroidal spatial form) when we compare their transverse enlargement with paraxial diffraction of light beams in air. It is important to emphasize here the case of light disks, i.e., pulses whose longitudinal size is small with respect to the transverse one, which in some partial cases are practically diffractionless over distances of a thousand kilometers. A new formula that calculates the diffraction length of optical pulses is suggested. Finally, propagation of single-cycle pulses in air and vacuum was investigated, and a coronal (semispherical) form of diffraction at short distances was observed.  相似文献
