Our study is focused on the investigation of polyamide 12 (PA 12) grade behavior in rotational molding process. Hence, some rotational molding tests of polyamide 12 were conducted on a STP LAB 40 machine. To simulate the cooling stage within the rotational molding, the crystallization behavior of polyamide 12 was studied using differential scanning calorimetry technique and the obtained results for non-isothermal crystallization were fitted with Ozawa model. Furthermore, morphology survey has been carried out by a hot stage method using a microscope to investigate the spherulites evolution which depends on the temperature. The micro-tensile properties have been studied using micro-tensile bench (MVTV2) to explain the mechanical behavior of polyamide 12 during crystallization. As a result, the rotational molding of PA 12 was successfully carried out. The simulation of the melting and crystallization stages, by application of Ozawa model coupled with enthalpy method gave a good representation of experimental data on one hand. On the other hand, all characterization revealed useful information to understand the different phenomena that govern the rotational molding process. 相似文献

A simple and sensitive electrochemical sensor based on nickel oxide nanoparticles/riboflavin-modified glassy carbon (NiONPs/RF/GC) electrode was constructed and utilized to determine H2O2. By immersing the NiONPs/GC-modified electrode into riboflavin (RF) solution for a short period of time (5–300 s), a thin film of the proposed molecule was immobilized onto the electrode surface. The modified electrode showed stable and a well-defined redox couples at a wide pH range (2–10), with surface-confined characteristics. Experimental results revealed that RF was adsorbed on the surface of NiONPs, and in comparison with usual methods for the immobilization of RF, such as electropolymerization, the electrochemical reversibility and stability of this modified electrode has been improved. The surface coverage and heterogeneous electron transfer rate constants (k s) of RF immobilized on a NiO x –GC electrode were approximately 4.83 × 10?11 mol cm?2, 54 s?1, respectively. The sensor exhibits a powerful electrocatalytic activity for the reduction of H2O2. The detection limit, sensitivity and catalytic rate constant (k cat) of the modified electrode toward H2O2 were 85 nM, 24 nA μM?1 and 7.3 (±0.2) × 103 M?1 s?1, respectively, at linear concentration rang up to 3.0 mM. The reproducibility of the sensor was investigated in 10 μM H2O2 by amperometry, the value obtained being 2.5 % (n = 10). Saturated copolyester were prepared by copolyesterification of bis-1,4-(dicarboxymethoxy) benzene and phthalic anhydride with diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, 1,4-butane diol, 1,2-propane diol, and 1,6-hexamethylene glycol. Also, unsaturated copolyesters were prepared by copolyesterification of bis-1,4-(dicarboxymethoxy) benzene and maleic anhydride with the same glycols. All the copolyester resins obtained have been characterized and unsaturated copolyesters in the form of films were determined. Nitrile butadiene rubber loaded with different concentrations of thin graphite nanosheets have been successfully prepared by using a two‐roll mill. The percolation concentration of the nanocomposites was 0.5 phr. The I–V characteristic curves showed that the nanocomposites exhibited ohmic behaviour at a certain voltage and then non‐linear behaviour. The Richardson–Schottky and Poole–Frenkel models were used to investigate the reason for the space charge. The experimental data fit the Schottky model well. The conductivity as a function of temperature was also studied and the data were fitted by using the Mott relation. The Mott relation showed that as the concentration of graphite nanosheets in the rubber composite increases, the hopping distance between the graphite nanosheet layers decreases, which enhances the conductivity of the nanocomposite at low concentrations. Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is a bioresorbable and biocompatible polymer with assorted medical applications. However, remarkable hydrophobicity and nonosteoconductivity have stood as a barrier to limit its applications. The present study aims to modify the bulk characteristics of PCL to develop a polymeric scaffold with adequate structural and mechanical properties to support regenerated tissues. For this purpose, functionalized bacterial cellulose nanowhiskers (BCNW-g-βCD-PCL2000) are synthesized. Reinforcing PCL matrix with 4 wt % of the nanowhiskers resulted in a bionanocomposite with promoted bulk properties. Compared to neat PCL, the obtained bionanocomposite shows improvements of 115 and 51% in tensile strength and Young's modulus, respectively; 20% increase in hydrophilicity; 7% increase in degradation rate; and 6% decrease in crystallinity. Gas foaming/combined particulate leaching technique is used to develop highly porous structures of 86–95% porosity with interconnected macropores of mean pore diameters of 250–420 μm. Cerium oxide nanopowders have been prepared via microwave assisted hydrothermal technique in the presence of different amounts of poly vinyl pyrrolidone (PVP). The prepared nanopowders were characterized using XRD, TEM and SAED. The results showed that the particle size of the ceria nanopowders was decreased with the increase of PVP amount. The prepared ceria has nanocrystalline cubic fluorite structure with high purity. The influence of PVP content on the densification behavior of CeO2 was investigated by means of dilatometer and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that the increase of PVP amount reduced sintering temperature. The cold-pressed powders can be sintered to full density at temperatures starting from 1070 °C in just 10 min. 相似文献

The effect of solvents on radiation‐induced grafting of styrene onto commercial fluorinated polymer films such as poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE), poly(tetrafluoroethylene‐co‐hexafluoropropylene) (FEP) and poly(tetrafluoroethylene‐co‐perfluorovinyl ether) (PFA) was investigated by a simultaneous irradiation technique. Three solvents, ie methanol, benzene and dichloromethane, were used to dilute styrene under various irradiation doses, dose rates and monomer concentrations. The effect of addition of mineral and organic acids on the degree of grafting in the presence of the three solvents was also studied. The degree of grafting was found to be strongly dependent upon the type of solvent and composition of the monomer/solvent mixture. Dilution of styrene with dichloromethane in various grafting conditions was found to enhance dramatically the degree of grafting compared with other solvents, and the maximum degree of grafting was achieved at a monomer/solvent mixture having a composition of 60:40 (v/v). New composite polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/polypropylene (PP) membranes were prepared by combining both solution electrospinning and melt electrospinning methods. Self‐designed and made needleless melt electrospinning device was used to fabricate PP membranes which acted as the support layer. PVA membrane on the surface was fabricated via solution electrospinning. The electrospun PVA/PP composite membranes were characterized by the pore size distribution, pure water flux, and rejection ratio, then compared with general composite membranes. Characterizations revealed that the fiber diameter of solution electrospun PVA membrane and melt electrospun PP membrane were 0.171 ± 0.027 and 2.24 ± 0.33 μm, respectively, and the average pore size was 0.832 μm and 27.29 μm, which was much smaller than the nonwoven membrane. The rejection ratio to the 500 nm particles of the PVA/PP composite membrane could reach more than 96%, which was much larger than that of the PVA/non‐woven substrate of 90%, and the melt electrospun PP membrane of 80%, and still maintained high permeate flux of 32,346 L/m2h under the pressure of 0.24 bar. This approach of compositing the solution electrospun membranes and melt electrospun membranes could be useful in designing novel microfiltration membrane owning both higher flux and higher rejection ratio. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
