This paper deals with the problem of observer-based robust fault detection
for both continuous- and discrete-time linear Markovian jump systems with an unknown
input. By using a fault detection filter as residual generator and a proposed performance
index as objective function, the robust fault detection filter design is formulated as an
optimization problem. A sufficient condition to solve this problem is established in terms
of the feasibility of certain matrix inequalities, which can be solved via iterative linear
matrix inequality (LMI) algorithms. The residual evaluation problem is also considered. A
numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques. 相似文献

Problems related to the design of observer- based parametric fault detection (PFD) systems are studied. The core of our study is to first describe the faults occurring in system actuators , sensors and components in the form of additive parameter deviations ,then to transform the PFD problems into a similar additive fault setup , based on which an optimal observer- based optimization fault detection approach is proposed. A constructive solution optimal in the sense of minimizing a certain performance index is developed. The main results consist of defining parametric fault detectability , formulating a PFD optimization problem and its solution. A numerical example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach is provided. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with the design of the fault detection systems, into which a residual generation, evaluation and threshold are integrated, for linear discrete time-varying processes over a finite horizon. In the proposed design scheme, the residual generation is realised in the context of H∞ fault estimation with a prescribed attenuation level. This attenuation level is minimised by using the Krein-space linear estimation theory and, subsequently, an H∞ fault estimator with the minimum attenuation level is designed in terms of the solution to a set of Riccati-like recursions. For the residual evaluation and decision making purpose, the false alarm rate and fault detection rate indicators are introduced in the norm-based framework, which is integrated into the decision making procedure. For the online computations of the false alarm rate and fault detection rate indicators, further estimates delivered by the H∞ fault estimator are applied without additional (online) computations. By means of checking the change in the false alarm rate and fault detection rate indicators, a decision is then made. In this way, the fault detection performance can be significantly improved. Finally, one application example is exploited to demonstrate the application of the proposed integrated fault detection and performance evaluation schemes. 相似文献
