Senescence is a programmed process that involves the destruction of the photosynthesis apparatus and the relocation of nutrients to the grain. Identifying senescence-associated genes is essential to adapting varieties for the duration of the cultivation cycle. A genome-wide association study (GWAS) was performed using 400 inbred maize lines with 156,164 SNPs to study the genetic architecture of senescence-related traits and their relationship with agronomic traits. We estimated the timing of senescence to be 45 days after anthesis in the whole plant and specifically in the husks. A list of genes identified in a previous RNAseq experiment as involved in senescence (core senescence genes) was used to propose candidate genes in the vicinity of the significant SNPs. Forty-six QTLs of moderate to high effect were found for senescence traits, including specific QTLs for husk senescence. The allele that delayed senescence primarily increased grain yield and moisture. Seven and one significant SNPs were found in the coding and promoter regions of eight core senescence genes, respectively. These genes could be potential candidates for generating a new variation by genome editing for functional analysis and breeding purposes, particularly Zm00001d014796, which could be responsible for a QTL of senescence found in multiple studies.  相似文献

Spread-spectrum watermarking of audio signals   总被引:12,自引:0,他引:12  
Watermarking has become a technology of choice for a broad range of multimedia copyright protection applications. Watermarks have also been used to embed format-independent metadata in audio/video signals in a way that is robust to common editing. In this paper, we present several novel mechanisms for effective encoding and detection of direct-sequence spread-spectrum watermarks in audio signals. The developed techniques aim at (i) improving detection convergence and robustness, (ii) improving watermark imperceptiveness, (iii) preventing desynchronization attacks, (iv) alleviating estimation/removal attacks, and finally, (v) establishing covert communication over a public audio channel. We explore the security implications of the developed mechanisms and review watermark robustness on a benchmark suite that includes a combination of audio processing primitives including: time- and frequency-scaling with wow-and-flutter, additive and multiplicative noise, resampling, requantization, noise reduction, and filtering.  相似文献

Maize is used for bakery and for gluten‐free food for coeliac patients. Our objective was assessing diversity for dough rheology and breadmaking in maize with different origins, grain types and growth cycles. Endosperm type affected bread crumb colour having dent maize higher L* and a* and instant recovery speed. Population origin affected flotation index, onset pasting temperature, bread crumb colour, hardness and instant recovery speed. Finally, growth cycle affected flotation index, crumb colour L* and a* and cohesiveness. Water‐binding capacity, crumb colour and hardness were the most discriminative parameters for maize. The maize population Andaluz/Daxa was the less distant from wheat parameters, and Tremesino was the most different.  相似文献

Power quality is a very important topic nowadays. Sensitive industrial equipment should be protected against steady-state distortions and temporary transients in the distribution lines. Typical disturbances that affect the voltage waveform quality are harmonics, imbalances and sags. This paper presents a solution to protect sensitive loads against voltage disturbances that is based on a series power line conditioner. The goal of the proposed design is that the load does not suffer considerable input voltage variations. To achieve that, a Proportional-Resonant (PR) controller and a reference generator block based on a low-gain PLL are used, which avoids a sag detection block. Furthermore, a frequency adaptation loop is included in the PR controller, which provides a proper controller operation even with utility grid frequency deviations. Finally, a hardware in the loop (HIL) test rig is used to validate the system.  相似文献

A technique for the design of finite-impulse-response (FIR) filters for decimation and interpolation in multirate systems is introduced. FIR prefilters and postfilters that jointly minimize a frequency-weighted mean-square error between the original and reconstructed signals can be designed. There is no need for ideal filter prototypes: the optimal pre-postfilter pair is determined from the signal and noise spectra and the up-sampling and down-sampling factors. Some examples of image and speech processing show that the mean square optimal filter pair leads to typical SNR improvements of 2-6 dB, in comparison to other commonly used filters  相似文献

Lateral confinement of reinforced concrete columns can significantly increase their lateral deflection capability and load-carrying capacity. While such retrofits were initially completed using steel jackets, fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have been used successfully and extensively for seismic and blast upgrades. Numerical modeling of such structures requires the use of a concrete material model that can accurately represent the volumetric behavior of concrete under triaxial stress states, to capture the interaction between concrete expansion and the resulting stress increase in the confining jacket. Test data by Suter and Pinzelli, Karbhari and Gao, and Mirmiran and Shahawy on concrete cylinders and prisms confined by aramid, carbon, and glass FRP sheets are analyzed numerically. The concrete material model used was developed for the study of the effect of blast loading on reinforced concrete structures and was verified and validated for a variety of triaxial stress paths. The numerical analyses closely reproduce the strength enhancements observed in the test specimens for various levels of confinement. The model also confirms the observed inefficiency of low levels of lateral confinement and the superior enhancement provided by circular cross sections as compared to rectangular ones.  相似文献
