The pH mediated intra-molecular association and inter-molecular aggregation of a range of amphiphilic poly(l-lysine iso-phthalamide) polymers have been investigated in aqueous solution over a range of pH values and concentrations. The desired functionality of these novel bioresponsive amphiphilic polymers was achieved by incorporating pendant hydrophilic carboxyl groups along the polymer backbone, via the l-lysine moiety, balanced by a degree of hydrophobicity introduced via the iso-phthaloyl moiety. Incorporation of low levels of bis-functional Cy3 (poly-Cy3) and/or Cy5 dye (poly-Cy3/5 or poly-Cy5) co-monomers in the responsive polymer backbone allowed detailed probing of the pH mediated hydrophobic association using a combination of optical spectroscopic techniques. Both steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy and fluorescence lifetime measurements of poly-Cy3 revealed a conformational transition at pH 4.5. Thus, below a critical pH the polymer collapsed into a compact globular structure (hypercoil) bringing the fluorophore molecules into close proximity with one another. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in fluorescence intensity and fluorescent lifetime in the single fluorophore systems (poly-Cy3) accompanied by a red shift in the maximum emission wavelength. Observed redshifts in the emission maxima and enhancements of fluorescent lifetimes with increasing polymer concentration suggested the formation of polymer aggregates. Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) was measured in mixtures of single fluorophore containing poly-Cy3 (donor) and poly-Cy5 (acceptor) and dual fluorophore containing poly-Cy3 (donor)/Cy5 (acceptor) in an effort to distinguish between intra-molecular versus inter-molecular association. The relevance of the results with respect to potential in vivo applications (drug delivery and biodiagnostics) is discussed.  相似文献

简述了煤中镜质组荧光产生的机理及荧光参数的测量方法,通过测定一系列煤的粘结性和10kg小焦炉结焦性试验,探讨了煤的荧光特性与其工艺性能的关系。煤的荧光参数与其反射率呈正的线性相关关系,与其挥发分含量呈负的线性相关关系;煤的粘结性、结焦性均与其荧光参数有关;当煤化程度相同、煤岩组成基本相同时,煤的荧光强度愈强,其结焦性能愈好。  相似文献

催化剂烧炭再生是非定态过程。本文建立了绝热反应器内催化剂烧炭模型,利用移动边界正交配置法求解。以结炭的BO2催化剂再生为工作反应,模拟预测与实验值吻合良好。模拟计算表明,用递升进口温度序列烧炭,使再生时间明显缩短。  相似文献

In this paper, manufacturing technology of the tubular single lap adhesive joint was studied to obtain reliable and optimal joint quality. In addition, a surface preparation method and a bonding process for the joint were devised. The effect of the adhesive thickness and the adherend roughness on the fatigue strength of the joint was experimentally investigated. From experiments, it has been found that the fatigue strength of the joint increased as the adhesive thickness decreased and the optimal arithmetic surface roughness of the adherends was about 2 μm.  相似文献

The paper presents a novel control design, which is based on the idea of active disturbance rejection control (ADRC), for a kind of fexible aerocraft whose controlled variable cannot be measured directly. Since the original frame of ADRC cannot be directly applied, the paper puts forward a new extended state observer (ESO) and the corresponding ADRC law. In order to assign the poles of the closed-loop system to ideal positions such that the vibration can be quickly suppressed, an elastic damping term is added into feedback law. The advantages of the new ESO for efectively estimating both the rigid mode and elastic mode from the measurements are discussed. Moreover, the analysis on the stability, the relative stability and the steady state of the closed-loop system is given. Finally, the efectiveness and robustness of the proposed ADRC are verifed by simulations.  相似文献

Bioglass (BG) possesses excellent bioactivity and has been widely used in the manufacture of biomaterials. In this study, a composite with different surface bioactivity was fabricated via in situ melting polymerization by incorporating BG and poly(amino acid) (PAA) at a suitable ratio. The structure of the composite was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and XRD. The compressive strength of the BG/PAA composites was 139 MPa (BG:PAA = 30:70). The BG/PAA composites were degradable, and higher BG in composite showed higher weight loss after 4 weeks of incubation in simulated body fluid. In addition, the BG/PAA composite maintained adequate residual compressive strength during the degradation period. The SEM results showed the differences in surface bioactivities of the composites directly, and 30BG/PAA composite showed thicker apatite layer and higher Ca/p than 15BG/PAA. in vitro MG-63 cell culture experiments showed that the composite was noncytotoxic and thus allows cells to adhere, proliferate, and differentiate. This indicates that the composite has good biocompatibility. The implantations in the bone defects of rabbits for 4 and 12 weeks were studied. The composites had good biocompatibility and were capable of guiding new bone formation without causing any inflammation. The composite may be successfully used in the development of bone implants.  相似文献
