Rapid prototyping (RP) can substantially shorten the time and reduce the cost of developing a new product from the initial idea to production. Rapid prototyping can help in recognizing the basic defects whose subsequent correction may prove very expensive, especially if they have already been made when the product is ready for production. There are also many restrictions of RP procedures, primarily in the number of available materials and their properties, which may differ significantly from the properties of end product materials. In this work, based on the stipulated standards of the 3D printing machines (ZPrinter 310 Plus) and the hybrid Polyjet technique (Objet Eden 330), adequate test specimens were made. Furthermore, with adequate equipment, we carried out the analysis of the dimensions, roughness of surfaces, and mechanical properties of prototype test specimens. Then, based on the data obtained by testing of properties, we provided a critical commentary regarding the data stipulated by their producers.  相似文献

The ionic conductivity of the hafnia-scandia, hafnia-yttria, and hafnia-rare earth solid solutions with high dopant concentrations of 8, 10, and 14 mol% was measured in air at 600° to 1050°C. Impedance spectroscopy was used to obtain lattice conductivity. A majority of the investigated samples exhibited linear Arrhenius plots of the lattice conductivity as a function of temperature. For all investigated dopant concentrations the ionic conductivity was shown to decrease as the dopant radius increased. The activation enthalpy for conduction was found to increase with dopant ionic radius. The fact that the highest ionic conductivity among 14-mol%-doped systems was obtained with HfO2─Sc2O3 suggested that the radius ratio approach should be used to predict the electrical conductivity behavior of HfO2─R2O3 systems. A qualitative model based on the Kilner's lattice parameter map does not seem to apply to these systems. For the three systems HfO2─Yb2O3, HfO2─Y2O3, and Hf2O3─Sm2O3 a conductivity maximum was observed near the dopant concentration of 10 mol%. Deep vacancy trapping is responsible for the decrease in the ionic conductivity at high dopant concentrations. Formation of microdomains of an ordered compound cannot explain the obtained results. A comparison between the ionic conductivities of doped HfO2 and ZrO2 systems indicated that the ionic conductivities of HfO2 systems are 1.5 to 2.2 times lower than the ionic conductivities of ZrO2 systems.  相似文献

The antioxidant activity (free radical scavenging ability and lipid oxidation inhibitory activity) and the activity in cell culture [influence on HT-29 human colon cancer cell viability and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) activation] of natural fruit juices from red grape, strawberry, cherry and sour cherry were investigated in vitro. Analysis of polyphenolic composition of fruit juices showed the dominant presence of anthocyanins (cyanidin-3-glucoside, cyanidin-3-rutinoside, peonidin-3-rutinoside, pelargonidin-3-glucoside), anthocyanidins (procyanidins B1, B2 and B3), flavonoids (glucosides of myricetin, quercetin and kaempferol), and phenolic acids (neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, ellagic acid, p-coumaroylquinic acid) in juices. DPPH test and β-carotene bleaching method indicated that grape, strawberry, cherry and sour cherry natural juices (at the concentration of 2.5%) showed very strong free radical scavenging (75–92%) and antioxidant activity (71–94%). In addition, at the concentration of 0.01% they showed complete inhibition of copper-induced oxidation of human LDL (low density lipoprotein). In contrast, selected fruit juices did not show cytotoxic effects on HT-29 cells and NF-κB inhibitory activity (at the concentrations of 0.5 and 2%). Results of this study showed no correlation between the antioxidant activity of natural fruit juices from red grape, strawberry, cherry and sour cherry and their effect on HT-29 cell viability and NF-κB inhibitory activity.  相似文献

The achievement of three-dimensional atomic resolution magnetic resonance microscopy remains one of the main challenges in the visualization of biological molecules. The prospects for single spin microscopy have come tantalizingly close due to the recent developments in sensitive instrumentation. Despite the single spin detection capability in systems of spatially well-isolated spins, the challenge that remains is the creation of conditions in space where only a single spin is resonant and detected in the presence of other spins in its natural dense spin environment. We present a nanomagnetic planar design where a localized Angstrom-scale point in three-dimensional space is created above the nanostructure with a nonzero minimum of the magnetic field magnitude. The design thereby represents a magnetic resonance microscopy "lens" where potentially only a single spin located in the "focus" spot of the structure is resonant. Despite the presence of other spins in the Angstrom-scale vicinity of the resonant spin, the high gradient magnetic field of the "lens" renders those spins inactive in the detection process.  相似文献

We present a nanowire-based methodology for the fabrication of ultrahigh sensitivity and resolution probes for atomic resolution magnetic resonance force microscopy (MRFM). The fabrication technique combines electrochemical deposition of multifunctional metals into nanoporous polycarbonate membranes and chemically selective electroless deposition of optical nanoreflector onto the nanowire. The completed composite nanowire structure contains all the required elements for an ultrahigh sensitivity and resolution MRFM sensor with (a) a magnetic nanowire segment providing atomic resolution magnetic field imaging gradients as well as large force gradients for high sensitivity, (b) a noble metal enhanced nanowire segment providing efficient scattering cross-section from a sub-wavelength source for optical readout of nanowire vibration, and (c) a nonmagnetic/nonplasmonic nanowire segment providing the cantilever structure for mechanical detection of magnetic resonance.  相似文献

The use of ionic liquids (ILs) as a solvent for thermal lens measurements has been investigated. It was found that ILs provide a better medium for thermal lens measurements than water. Specifically, not only the ILs offer at least 20 times higher sensitivity than water but that the enhancement can be appropriately adjusted by changing either the cation or the anion of the ILs. For example, the sensitivity in [BMIm]+[Tf2N]- is approximately 26 times higher than in water. It can be increased up to 31 times by changing the anion to [PF6]- (i.e., [BMIm]+[PF6]-) or to 35 times by changing the cation to [OMIm]+ (i.e., [OMIm]+[Tf2N]-). In fact, the sensitivity of thermal lens measurements in ILs is comparable to those in volatile organic solvents such as benzene, carbon tetrachloride, and hexane. However, the ILs are more desirable as they have virtually no vapor pressure. Furthermore, additional sensitivity enhancement (up to 42 times higher than that in water) can be achieved by simply adding surfactants into the ILs. Based on the thermal conductivity (k) and dn/dT values, calculated from the measured thermal time constant tc and thermal lens strength theta, it is evident that the observed sensitivity enhancement by the ILs is due to their relatively better thermooptical properties. More specifically, the enhancement is due not to the relatively modest lowering of the thermal conductivity but rather to the substantial increase in their dn/dT values. Because of the relationship between dn/dT and drho/dT, it is expected that ILs can serve as an attractive and superior solvent not only for thermal lens measurements but also for other photothermal and photoacoustic techniques as well. Also equally important is the fact that the thermal lens technique in particular and photothermal techniques, in general, can offer a unique means to determine themooptical and thermal physical properties of the ILs (e.g., thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and phase transition temperatures). This type of data is currently lacking but is of extreme importance for implementing ILs as a solvent in various industrial applications.  相似文献

Abstract: While the antimicrobial effectiveness of wine is well documented, relative contributions of the wine components to its antimicrobial activity is controversial. To separate the role of wine phenolics, ethanol, and pH from other wine constituents, the antimicrobial effects of intact wine were compared to that of phenols-stripped wine, dealcoholized wine, ethanol, and low pH applied separately and in combination, against 2 common foodborne pathogens, Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis and Escherichia coli. All samples were biochemically characterized with respect to their total phenolics and resveratrol content, antioxidant capacity, ethanol content, and pH. Antioxidative activity of the samples corresponded to their total phenolics content. Except for respective controls, pH and ethanol content were similar in all samples. The order of antibacterial activity of the samples was: intact wine > phenols-stripped wine > dealcoholized wine > combination of ethanol and low pH > low pH > ethanol. Separate application of ethanol or low pH showed negligible antibacterial activity while their combination showed synergistic effect. Antibacterial activity of the samples could not be related to their total phenolics and resveratrol content, antioxidant capacity, ethanol content, or pH. Our study indicates that antimicrobial activity of complex solutions such as intact wine cannot be exclusively attributed to its phenolic or nonphenolic constituents, nor can the antimicrobial activity of wine be predicted on the basis of its particular components.  相似文献
