The probabilistic visual tracking methods using color histograms have been proven to be robust to target model variations and background illumination changes as shown by the recent research. However, the required computational cost is high due to intensive image data processing. The embedded solution of such algorithms become challenging due to high computational power demand and algorithm complexity. This paper presents a hardware/software co-design architecture for implementation of the well-known kernel based mean shift tracking algorithm. The design uses color histogram of the target as tracking feature. The target is searched in the consecutive images by maximizing the statistical match of the color distributions. The target localization is based on gradient based iterative search instead of exhaustive search which makes the system capable of achieving frame rate up to hundreds of frames per second while tracking multiple targets. The design, which is fully standalone, is implemented on a low-cost medium-size field programmable gate array (FPGA) device. The hardware cost of the design is compared with some other tracking systems. The performance of the system in terms of speed is evaluated and compared with the software based implementation. It is expected that the proposed solution will find its utility in applications like embedded automatic video surveillance systems. 相似文献

The liquid-liquid equilibrium of polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether 2000 (PEGDME2000)+K2HPO4+H2O system has been determined experimentally at T=(298.15,303.15,308.15 and 318.15) K. The liquid-solid and complete phase diagram of this system was also obtained at T=(298.15 and 308.15) K. A nonlinear temperature dependent equation was successfully used for the correlation of the experimental binodal data. Furthermore, a temperature dependent Setschenow-type equation was successfully used for the correlation of the tie-lines of the studied system. Moreover, the effect of temperature on the binodal curves and the tie-lines for the investigated aqueous two-phase system have been studied. Also, the free energies of cloud points for this system and some previously studied systems containing PEGDME2000 were calculated from which it was concluded that the increase of the entropy is the driving force for formation of aqueous two-phase systems. Additionally, the calculated free energies for phase separation of the studied systems were used to investigate the salting-out ability of the salts having different anions. Furthermore, the complete phase diagram of the investigated system was compared with the corresponding phase diagrams of previously studied systems, in which the PEGDME2000 has been used, in order to obtain some information regarding the phase behavior of these PEGDME2000+salt+water systems. 相似文献

In this study, a potentiometric uric acid biosensor was fabricated by immobilization of uricase onto zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires. Zinc oxide nanowires with 80-150 nm in diameter and 900 nm to 1.5 μm in lengths were grown on the surface of a gold coated flexible plastic substrate. Uricase was electrostatically immobilized on the surface of well aligned ZnO nanowires resulting in a sensitive, selective, stable and reproducible uric acid biosensor. The potentiometric response of the ZnO sensor vs Ag/AgCl reference electrode was found to be linear over a relatively wide logarithmic concentration range (1-650 μM) suitable for human blood serum. By applying a Nafion® membrane on the sensor the linear range could be extended to 1-1000 μM at the expense of an increased response time from 6.25 s to less than 9 s. On the other hand the membrane increased the sensor durability considerably. The sensor response was unaffected by normal concentrations of common interferents such as ascorbic acid, glucose, and urea. 相似文献

Well-aligned zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowire arrays were fabricated on gold-coated plastic substrates using a low-temperature aqueous chemical growth (ACG) method. The ZnO nanowire arrays with 50–130 nm diameters and ∼1 μm in lengths were used in an enzyme-based urea sensor through immobilization of the enzyme urease that was found to be sensitive to urea concentrations from 0.1 mM to 100 mM. Two linear sensitivity regions were observed when the electrochemical responses (EMF) of the sensors were plotted vs. the logarithmic concentration range of urea from 0.1 mM to 100 mM. The proposed sensor showed a sensitivity of 52.8 mV/decade for 0.1–40 mM urea and a fast response time less than 4 s was achieved with good selectivity, reproducibility and negligible response to common interferents such as ascorbic acid and uric acid, glucose, K+ and Na+ ions. 相似文献

Network centric handover solutions for all IP wireless networks usually require modifications to network infrastructure which can stifle any potential rollout. This has led researchers to begin looking at alternative approaches. Endpoint centric handover solutions do not require network infrastructure modification, thereby alleviating a large barrier to deployment. Current endpoint centric solutions capable of meeting the delay requirements of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) fail to consider the Quality of Service (QoS) that will be achieved after handoff. The main contribution of this paper is to demonstrate that QoS aware handover mechanisms which do not require network support are possible. This work proposes a Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) based handover solution for VoIP called Endpoint Centric Handover (ECHO). ECHO incorporates cross-layer metrics and the ITU-T E-Model for voice quality assessment to accurately estimate the QoS of candidate handover networks, thus facilitating a more intelligent handoff decision. An experimental testbed was developed to analyse the performance of the ECHO scheme. Results are presented showing both the accuracy of ECHO at estimating the QoS and that the addition of the QoS capabilities significantly improves the handover decisions that are made. 相似文献

Sentiment analysis involves the detection of sentiment content of text using natural language processing. Natural language processing is a very challenging task due to syntactic ambiguities, named entity recognition, use of slangs, jargons, sarcasm, abbreviations and contextual sensitivity. Sentiment analysis can be performed using supervised as well as unsupervised approaches. As the amount of data grows, unsupervised approaches become vital as they cut down on the learning time and the requirements for availability of a labelled dataset. Sentiment lexicons provide an easy application of unsupervised algorithms for text classification. SentiWordNet is a lexical resource widely employed by many researchers for sentiment analysis and polarity classification. However, the reported performance levels need improvement. The proposed research is focused on raising the performance of SentiWordNet3.0 by using it as a labelled corpus to build another sentiment lexicon, named Senti‐CS. The part of speech information, usage based ranks and sentiment scores are used to calculate Chi‐Square‐based feature weight for each unique subjective term/part‐of‐speech pair extracted from SentiWordNet3.0. This weight is then normalized in a range of ?1 to +1 using min–max normalization. Senti‐CS based sentiment analysis framework is presented and applied on a large dataset of 50000 movie reviews. These results are then compared with baseline SentiWordNet, Mutual Information and Information Gain techniques. State of the art comparison is performed for the Cornell movie review dataset. The retina is a tiny layer at the posterior pole of an eye and is made up of tissues sensitive to light, these tissues generate nerve signals that pass through the optic nerve to the brain. A retinal disorder occurs when the retina malfunctions; glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and pathologic myopia are retinal disorders and principal causes of blindness worldwide. These retinal disorders are often diagnosed and treated by an ophthalmologist. However, to accurately assess a retinal disease, ophthalmologist would need qualitative and quantitative analysis of the disease, it’s early and current statistics, but acquisition of these measurements are not possible through manual techniques, there should be automated computer aided diagnosis (CAD) systems to assist ophthalmologists. In this comprehensive review, an analysis and evaluation has been performed of different computer vision and image processing approaches applied to OCT images for automatic diagnosis of retinal disorders. We also reported disease causes, symptoms and pathologies manifestations within OCT images, which can serve as baseline knowledge for development of an automated CAD system. Hence, this disease specific review offers a good understanding to analyze visual impairments from retinal OCT images which will help researcher to design enhanced therapeutic systems for retinal disorders. 相似文献

World Wide Web is a continuously growing giant, and within the next few years, Web contents will surely increase tremendously. Hence, there is a great requirement to have algorithms that could accurately classify Web pages. Automatic Web page classification is significantly different from traditional text classification because of the presence of additional information, provided by the HTML structure. Recently, several techniques have been arisen from combinations of artificial intelligence and statistical approaches. However, it is not a simple matter to find an optimal classification technique for Web pages. This paper introduces a novel strategy for vertical Web page classification, which is called Classification using Multi-layered Domain Ontology (CMDO). It employs several Web mining techniques, and depends mainly on proposed multi-layered domain ontology. In order to promote the classification accuracy, CMDO implies a distiller to reject pages related to other domains. CMDO also employs a novel classification technique, which is called Graph Based Classification (GBC). The proposed GBC has pioneering features that other techniques do not have, such as outlier rejection and pruning. Experimental results have shown that CMDO outperforms recent techniques as it introduces better precision, recall, and classification accuracy. 相似文献
