Data hiding watermarking for halftone images   总被引:11,自引:0,他引:11  
In many printer and publishing applications, it is desirable to embed data in halftone images. We proposed some novel data hiding methods for halftone images. For the situation in which only the halftone image is available, we propose data hiding smart pair toggling (DHSPT) to hide data by forced complementary toggling at pseudo-random locations within a halftone image. The complementary pixels are chosen to minimize the chance of forming visually undesirable clusters. Our experimental results suggest that DHSPT can hide a large amount of hidden data while maintaining good visual quality. For the situation in which the original multitone image is available and the halftoning method is error diffusion, we propose the modified data hiding error diffusion (MDHED) that integrates the data hiding operation into the error diffusion process. In MDHED, the error due to the data hiding is diffused effectively to both past and future pixels. Our experimental results suggest that MDHED can give better visual quality than DHSPT. Both DHSPT and MDHED are computationally inexpensive.  相似文献

Today's Internet is a massive, distributed network which continues to explode in size as e-commerce and related activities grow. The heterogeneous and largely unregulated structure of the Internet renders tasks such as dynamic routing, optimized service provision, service-level verification, and detection of anomalous/malicious behavior increasingly challenging tasks. The problem is compounded by the fact that one cannot rely on the cooperation of individual servers and routers to aid in the collection of network traffic measurements vital for these tasks. In many ways, network monitoring and inference problems bear a strong resemblance to other "inverse problems" in which key aspects of a system are not directly observable. Familiar signal processing problems such as tomographic image reconstruction, system identification, and array processing all have interesting interpretations in the networking context. This article introduces the new field of network tomography, a field which we believe will benefit greatly from the wealth of signal processing theory and algorithms  相似文献

"Photolithographic packaging (PL-pack) with selectively occupied repeated transfer (SORT)" is proposed for optoelectronic microsystem integration. PL-pack with SORT integrates different types of thin-film device pieces into one substrate with desired configurations using an all-photolithographic process. A process design example is presented for a scalable film optical link multichip-module (S-FOLM). A preliminary estimation reveals that PL-Pack with SORT will achieve III-V epitaxial material saving of <1/100 and module cost reduction of <1/10, compared with flip-chip-bonding-based packaging. The result indicates that the process will save on cost and resources simultaneously. A critical issue is how to simplify the procedure for distributing thin-film device pieces onto a substrate. SORT is found to reduce the distribution step count typically by factor of <1/10-1/10000 compared with the conventional one-by-one method. PL-pack with SORT will be extended to the 3R process (reduce, reuse, recycle), which is generally applied to a variety of device/module fabrications  相似文献

A new approach providing new theoretical results to the optimal far-field focusing of uniformly spaced arrays, subject to a completely arbitrary mask for sidelobe bounds, is presented and discussed. In both cases of linear or planar arrays (with rectangular boundaries), it is first shown that the problem can be formulated, without any loss to performances on the maximum, as a linear programming one, guaranteeing a globally optimal solution. Second, a sufficient uniqueness criterion for the solution of the overall problem is also developed, which shows how the solution may not be unique (as is actually the case) when planar arrays are considered. In addition, further globally effective optimization procedures are proposed for the latter case in order to optimize directivity, smoothness of excitations, or other performance parameters in the set of equivalent solutions. Last, an extension to planar arrays with a nonrectangular boundary is also given. A thorough numerical analysis confirms the effectiveness of the approach proposed and of the solution codes developed.  相似文献

In this paper, a digitally controlled current conveyo(DCCC) is presented. The proposed DCCC is based on rail-to-rail folded cascode implementation with a current division network (CDN). The CDN is used to provide control on the current gain of the DCCC. The CDN uses a novel current division technique based on differential pairs. The proposed DCCC can operate from ±1.5 V supply voltages. Applications of the proposed DCCC such as variable gain amplifiers (VGA) and digitally tunedfilters have been investigated. PSpice simulations based on the AMI 1.2 µm N-well level 3 parameters are in agreement with the presented work.  相似文献

Multiuser multiple‐input multiple‐output orthogonal frequency division multiple access (MIMO‐OFDMA) is considered as the practical method to attain the capacity promised by multiple antennas in the downlink direction. However, the joint calculation of precoding/beamforming and resource allocation required by the optimal algorithms is computationally prohibitive. This paper proposes computationally efficient resource allocation algorithms that can be invoked after the precoding and beamforming operations. To support stringent and diverse quality of service requirements, previous works have shown that the resource allocation algorithm must be able to guarantee a specific data rate to each user. The constraint matrix defined by the resource allocation problem with these data rate constraints provides a special structure that lends to efficient solution of the problem. On the basis of the standard graph theory and the Lagrangian relaxation, we develop an optimal resource allocation algorithm that exploits this structure to reduce the required execution time. Moreover, a lower‐complexity suboptimal algorithm is introduced. Extensive simulations are conducted to evaluate the computational and system‐level performance. It is shown that the proposed resource allocation algorithms attain the optimal solution at a much lower computational overhead compared with general‐purpose optimization algorithms used by previous MIMO‐OFDMA resource allocation approaches. GaAs/InAs quantum dot (QD) heterostructures prepared by metalloorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) are investigated. It is established that the introduction of isovalent bismuth doping during the growth of InAs QD layer results in the suppression of the nanocluster coalescence and favors the formation of more uniform QDs. Bismuth itself is virtually not incorporated into the dots, its role being mainly in limiting the migration mobility of atoms at the surface of the growing layer. A method for investigating the morphology of buried layers of InAs QDs in GaAs matrix by atomic-force microscopy is developed; it relies on the removal of the cap layer by selective chemical etching. The photoluminescence (PL) and photoelectric sensitivity spectra of the fabricated heterostructures and their relation to the morphology of the QD layer are studied. In doped structures, PL and selective photosensitivity owing to the QDs are observed at a wavelength of 1.41 µm with the linewidth of 43 meV at room temperature. Some of the morphological features and photoelectronic properties of the MOCVD-grown heterostructures are related to the formation of a transitional layer at the GaAs/InAs QD interface due to the diffusion-induced mixing of the components.  相似文献

The optimized values for the physical and geometrical parameters of the p- and n-regions used in the voltage-sustaining layer of the COOLMOSTM are presented. Design of the parameters is aimed to produce the lowest specific on-resistance, Ron for a given breakdown voltage, VB. A new relationship between the Ron and VB for the COOLMOSTM is developed as Ron=C·VB1.32, where the constant C is dependent on the cell dimension and pattern geometry. It is also found that by putting a thin layer of insulator between the p-region and its neighboring n-regions, the value of Ron can be further reduced. The possibility of incorporating the insulating layer may open up opportunities for practical implementation of the COOLMOSTM for volume production  相似文献
