Work-piece profile and dimensional errors are caused by the following three major factors: elastic deflection between wheel and work-piece, wheel wear, and thermal deformation of work-piece. This paper aims to clarify comprehensively and quantitatively the effect of these factors on the accuracy of a work-piece produced by one-pass creep feed grinding (cfg). Among these factors, the effect of the thermal deformation of the work-piece has not been well understood because of the inherent difficulty in predicting the temperature distribution of the work-piece. In the present study, the work-piece temperature distribution is analysed by a three-dimensional finite element method (fem) where the cooling effect of the coolant is measured and the energy transfering as heat into the work-piece is timated by Jaeger's moving heat theory extended to include the cooling effect. Nanostructuring is known to be an effective method to improve thermoelectric performance but, generally, it requires complex procedures and much labor. In the present study, self-assembled nanometer-sized composite structures of silicon (Si) and chromium disilicide (CrSi2) were easily fabricated by the rapid solidification of a melt with a eutectic composition. Ribbon-like samples were obtained with a dominant nanostructure of fine aligned lamellae with a spacing range of 20–35 nm. The thermoelectric power factor of the ribbon was observed to be 1.2 mW/mK2 at room temperature and reached 3.0 mW/mK2 at 773 K. The thermal conductivity was 65% lower than that of a bulk eutectic sample. The results suggest that this method is promising for fabricating an effective nanostructure for thermoelectric performance. 相似文献

This paper describes the amplification characteristics of gain-flattened Er3+-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) by using 0.98-μm and 1.48-μm band pumping for a 1.58-μm band WDM signal. Silica-based Er3+-doped fiber (S-EDF) and fluoride-based Er 3+-doped fiber (F-EDF) have gain-flattened wavelength ranges from 1570 to 1600 nm and from 1565 to 1600 nm, respectively, and exhibit uniform gain characteristics with gain excursions of 0.7 and 1.0 dB, and the figure of merit of the gain flatness (gain excursion/average signal gain) of 3 and 4.3%, respectively, for an eight-channel signal in the 1.58-μm band. We show that 1.48-μm band pumping has a better quantum conversion efficiency and gain coefficient, and that 0.98-μm band pumping is effective for improving the noise characteristics. We also show that the EDFAs consisting of two cascaded amplification units pumped in the 0.98-μm and 1.48-μm bands are effective in constructing low-noise and high-gain 1.58-μm band amplifiers 相似文献

This paper proposes a new robust tracking servo system for the optical disk recording system with feedforward controller based on the prediction of the tracking error. In optical recording systems, the feedback servo system must suppress the influence of force disturbance and parameter variation. To overcome this problem, this paper designs the robust feedback control system by using coprime factorization and disturbance observer. The detecting signal of the optical disk recording system is only a tracking error. Hence, the feedforward controller of the proposed tracking control system is constructed based on both the "zero-phase-error tracking" control theory and the prediction of the tracking error. The antioxidative effects of live bifidobacteria on lipid peroxidation in the colonic mucosa were investigated. Bifidobacterium bifidum strain Yakult, which has been used for production of fermented milk, most effectively inhibited lipid peroxidation catalyzed by ferrous iron in liposomes among 10 species of bifidobacteria from human intestinal flora. Oral administration of B. bifidum strain Yakult for 2 wk significantly decreased the level of lipid peroxide (thiobarbituric acid reactive substance) in the colonic mucosa of iron-overload mice (Fe 0.07% in diet). The iron concentrations in plasma and cecum contents were not affected by administration of B. bifidum strain Yakult. Bifidobacterium bifidum strain Yakult had no chelating or incorporating activity for ferrous iron in vitro. Therefore, the antioxidative effect of B. bifidum strain Yakult in the colonic mucosa was not thought to be based on the removal of ferrous iron from the reaction system of lipid peroxidation. These results suggested that B. bifidum strain Yakult protected the colonic mucosa from oxidative injury without inhibiting iron absorption. 相似文献

A gene encoding deacetylase DA1 that is specific for N, N'-diacetylchitobiose was cloned using the shot-gun method with pUC118 and sequenced. The open reading frame encoded a protein of 427 amino acids including the signal peptide. The molecular mass of the mature enzyme estimated from the amino acid sequence data was 44.7 kDa, which is approximately similar to that, estimated by SDS-PAGE (48.0 kDa), of the purified enzyme reported previously. The N-terminal amino acid sequence deduced from the cloned deacetylase gene showed partial sequence homology with the Nod B protein from Rhizobium sp. (37% identity) and chitin deacetylase from Mucor rouxii (28%). It contained a domain, which showed homology with a chitin-binding domain of chitinase A from Bacillus circulans (39%). 相似文献
