Concentration and loading of pesticide residues in Lake Biwa basin (Japan).   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
The concentrations and loading rates of pesticides used in paddy fields were investigated over a period of 5 years in the Seta River, which is the only natural outlet of Lake Biwa. The lake's water catchment area is 3,174 km2, 20% of which contains paddy fields. Water samples were also collected in six rivers flowing into the lake in order to compare the contamination level and concentration profile. The pesticides analyzed were four herbicides (molinate, simetryn, oxadiazon, and thiobencarb), one fungicide (isoprothiolane), and two insecticides (diazinon and fenitrothion). Molinate, simetryn, oxadiazon and isoprothiolane were found at the higher frequencies with maximum concentrations of 1.1, 0.4, 0.1 and 0.5 microg,/l in the effluent river, one or two order of magnitude higher than that of effluent in influent rivers. These peak concentrations were observed during the application period in influent rivers and two or three weeks after that in effluent river. The frequency of occurrence of thiobencarb, diazinon, and fenitrothion was relatively low and their maximum concentrations in the effluent remained below 0.1 microg/l. The decrease of molinate, simetryn and oxadiazon concentrations in the effluent river were approximated by two straight lines plotted on semilogarithmic scale. Increased loading was induced by intense rainfall, which took place during the application period. Simetryn and isoprothiolane persisted in relatively high concentrations through the year were also influenced on its loading by the heavy rainfall in the following months. The percentages of the total amount of pesticides released through Lake Biwa to the basin in downstream were estimated to be 1.3-2.9% for molinate, 5.4-10.0% for simetryn, 0.6-1.3% for oxadiazon, 0.2-0.9% for thiobencarb, 1.8-6.6% for isoprothiolane, 0.3-2.1% for diazinon. and 0% for fenitrothion.  相似文献

The reversible control of metal-insulator transition (MIT) in In/Si(111) nanowires is demonstrated by tuning the band filling of the one-dimensional surface state by optical doping. The control of MIT is carried out by regulating the Fermi level in the surface state around the half-filled position, depending on the carrier density introduced at the interface. We successfully achieved the reversible and active control of MIT via the charge doping by regulating the intensity of photoexcitation. This method is widely applicable to other low-dimensional systems and makes MIT more controllable and suitable for use in nanowires as an active element in future architectures of nanosized functional devices as well as nanoscale interdevice wiring.  相似文献

Clostridium saccharoperbutylacetonicum N1-4 could not grow or produce butanol in excess sludge medium. However, adding glucose to the excess sludge medium resulted in a specific growth rate and butanol productivity of 0.29 h(-1) and 0.55 g/l/h, respectively, and the final butanol production reached 9.3 g/l. Since the content of suspended solids in medium reduced to less than 50% of the initial content during acetone-butanol-ethanol (ABE) fermentation, the sludge was quantitatively decreased by this fermentation employing this strain.  相似文献

Recent developments of “multi-extreme” high magnetic field electron spin resonance (ESR) in Kobe will be reviewed. Our high magnetic field ESR covers the frequency region between 0.03 and 7 THz and the temperature region between 1.8 and 300 K. With this high magnetic field ESR system we can apply the magnetic field up to 55 T using a Cu-Ag pulsed magnet and a 300 kJ (10 kV) capacitor bank. Under this high magnetic field we can also apply the high pressure up to 1.4 GPa. As we can make the measurement under low temperature, high magnetic field and high pressure simultaneously, we name it as “multi-extreme” ESR. Moreover, in order to gain the sensitivity of our high magnetic field ESR, we have developed a micro-cantilever ESR system using a torque method, which enables the ESR measurement of micrometer size single crystal at low temperature. At the moment we are in the process of extending the magnetic field region of micro-cantilever ESR. Recently we have succeeded in making the measurement up to 369 GHz and the achieved sensitivity is about 1010 spins/G, which is much higher than that using the conventional transmission method. Finally our development of magnetization detected ESR using SQUID magnetometer (SQUID ESR) will be also presented.  相似文献

The viscosity of HFC 134a was measured over the range of temperatures from 213 to 423 K and pressures up to 30 MPa. The experimental method was that of the capillary flow and a closed-circuit high-pressure viscometer was used. The sample fluid was circulated through a stainless-steel capillary from a highpressure plunger system. The constant of the capillary was calibrated against the reference standard, pure water. The viscosity of the sample was calculated from the flow rate, the pressure drop at the capillary, and the capillary constant using the Hagen-Poiseuille equation. Measurements were made at a total of 39 points on eight isotherms. The measurement uncertainty of the viscosities was estimated as ±1.3%. Based on the present results, an empirical equation for the viscosity of HFC 134a has been correlated. The viscosity on the saturation line calculated by the equation compares with experimental viscosity data in other previous studies. There are rather considerable differences among these measurements. Comparisons of the data for HFC 134a with those for CFC 12 show that the viscosity of HFC 134a is similar in magnitude to that of CFC 12 at temperatures around 300 K but is higher at lower temperatures and lower at higher temperatures. The pressure gradients for these two corresponding substances are similar over the entire temperature range.  相似文献

This investigation concerns about study the effect of natural fiber on high performance composite. Effect of addition microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) as natural fiber to plain woven carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CF) reinforced epoxy on mechanical and thermal properties has been investigated. CF/epoxy composites with addition 0.5, 1 and 2 wt.% of MFC were characterized by different techniques, namely tensile, DMA, fracture toughness (mode I) test and SEM. The results reveal that at 2 wt.% of MFC, initiation and propagation interlaminar fracture toughness in mode I improved significantly by 80% and 44% respectively. Although there is slight tendency to increase tensile strength and Young’s modulus with addition MFC up to 2%, it is still not significant with those low contents of MFC. With addition 2 wt.% MFC, the glass transition temperature increased by about 12 °C compared to neat CF/epoxy composite indicating better heat resistance with addition of MFC.  相似文献
