This paper proposes a simple method that equips UMTS-based telecom companies with a mechanism to prove the records on mobile
users’ phone bills. In the history of mobile phone communication, we have seen countless unsettled disputes where the mobile
user disagrees with the telecom company either on the calling time or on the duration, or even on whether or not a call was
actually made. In this paper, a provable billing protocol will be presented that can effectively solve disagreements between
the two parties. Equipped with a non-repudiation function, the proposed protocol enables the service provider to hold on to
the solid proofs as to exactly when and to which number a mobile phone user made a call so that the mobile user cannot deny;
at the same time, the mobile user also gets to have his/her own share of proofs as to when and how the mobile services were
accessed, so that the bill can be double checked to make sure nothing goes wrong. And, to make it even better, this new protocol
is perfectly compatible with the standard UMTS protocol and is therefore readily applicable to the current mobile phone communication

Piezoelectric polymers, capable of converting mechanical vibrations into electrical energy, are attractive for use in vibrational energy harvesting due to their flexibility, robustness, ease, and low cost of fabrication. In particular, piezoelectric polymers nanostructures have been found to exhibit higher crystallinity, higher piezoelectric coefficients, and “self‐poling,” as compared to films or bulk. The research in this area has been mainly dominated by polyvinylidene fluoride and its copolymers, which while promising have a limited temperature range of operation due to their low Curie and/or melting temperatures. Here, the authors report the fabrication and properties of vertically aligned and “self‐poled” piezoelectric Nylon‐11 nanowires with a melting temperature of ≈200 °C, grown by a facile and scalable capillary wetting technique. It is shown that a simple nanogenerator comprising as‐grown Nylon‐11 nanowires, embedded in an anodized aluminium oxide (AAO) template, can produce an open‐circuit voltage of 1 V and short‐circuit current of 100 nA, when subjected to small‐amplitude, low‐frequency vibrations. Importantly, the resulting nanogenerator is shown to exhibit excellent fatigue performance and high temperature stability. The work thus offers the possibility of exploiting a previously unexplored low‐cost piezoelectric polymer for nanowire‐based energy harvesting, particularly at temperatures well above room temperature. 相似文献

A low voltage-power, 13-bit and 16 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) was implemented in 0.25-/spl mu/m one-poly five-metal standard CMOS process with MIM capacitors. This ADC used a constant-gm switch to improve the nonlinear effect and a telescopic operational transconductance amplifier with a wide-swing biasing technique for power saving and low supply voltage operation. The converter achieved a peak SNDR of 59.2 dB with 16.384 MSPS, a low supply voltage of 1.3V, and Nyquist input frequency of 8.75 MHz. The static INL of /spl plusmn/2.0 LSB and DNL of /spl plusmn/0.5 LSB were obtained. The total power consumption of this converter was 78 mW. This chip occupied 3.4 mm /spl times/ 3.6 mm area. 相似文献

We report on the role of cesium fluoride (CsF) doping on the enhanced electron transport properties of tris-(8-hydroxyquinolin) aluminum (Alq3) for organic light-emitting diodes. The electronic structures of CsF-doped Alq3 layers with various doping concentration are characterized by in situ ultraviolet and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies, showing an n-type electrical doping effect with Fermi level shift towards unoccupied molecular orbital and the formation of chemistry-induced gap-states. The increase in conductivity and reduction in electron injection barrier in CsF-doped Alq3 layer with optimal doping concentration lead to the enhanced electron injection and transport, which are consistent with the improved electrical characteristics of OLEDs. 相似文献
