Processes of Charge State Change at Collisions of He2+ and ArZ+ Ions with Fullerenes

Using coincidence technique the relative cross-sections of charge state change and fragmentation at one and two electron capture processes have been measured for the first time at collisions of He²⁺ and Ar^z+ projectiles with fullerenes in the energy range (3-35)z keV.     

Hollow corundum spheres for high temperature thermal insulation

Conclusions We developed a technological route for the production of hollow electrocorundum spheres intended for manufacturing highly refractory thermal insulation products, concrete bodies, and loose charges. Electrophysical properties of nickel boride phases

Conclusions The amount of conduction electrons grows with the rise in nickel concentration in the boride phases. The Fermi energy shifts toward larger values, and the contribution of the two electron bands to conduction increases. With rise in temperature, for the NiB phase the overlapping of the zones and the effective carrier mass decrease, but for Ni2B and Ni₃B the latter increases.Translated from Poroshkovaya Metallurgiya, No. 8(236), pp. 73–76, August, 1982.
