Contents A Geodesic Constant Method (GCM) is outlined which provides a common approach to ray tracing on quadric cylinders in general, and yields all the surface ray-geometric parameters required in the UTD mutual coupling analysis of conformal antenna arrays in the closed form. The approach permits the incorporation of a shaping parameter which permits the modeling of quadric cylindrical surfaces of desired sharpness/flatness with a common set of equations. The mutual admittance between the slots on a general parabolic cylinder is obtained as an illustration of the applicability of the GCM.
Eine geodätische Konstanten-Methode zur Berechnung hochfrequenter wechselseitiger Kopplung zwischen Antennen auf allgemeinen Flächen zweiter Ordnung
Übersicht Dargelegt wird eine geodätische Konstanten-Methode (GKM), die einen gemeinsamen Zugang zur Strahlverfolgung auf allgemeinen Zylindern zweiter Ordnung bietet. Sie liefert sämtliche strahlengeometrischen oberflächenbezogenen Parameter, die in der Uniformen Geometrischen Beugungstheorie (UTD) für die wechselseitige Kopplungsanalyse konformer Antennenarrays benötigt werden, in geschlossener Form. Der Zugang gestattet die Einbeziehung eines Formparameters, der die Modellierung von Zylinderflächen zweiter Ordnung mit gewünschter Spitzigkeit/Flachheit durch ein und dasselbe Gleichungssystem zuläßt. Die erhaltene wechselseitige Admittanz zwischen Schlitzen auf einem allgemeinen parabolischen Zylinder dient zur Veranschaulichung der Anwendbarkeit der GKM.

In this paper, the graphene was synthesized using biocompatible cellulosic component from onions. Onion epidermal cells were chosen as raw material. During heating at high temperature, the bonding among atoms in material was rearranged and forms two-dimensional hexagonal carbon layer (graphene). The characterization of synthesized graphene was done by x-ray diffractometer, Raman spectrometer and field emission scanning electron microscopy, respectively. An attempt has been taken to form the capacitors with two different current collector electrodes, anticipating the performance of the supercapacitors. The observed capacitance values as-obtained for Al and Au current collector were 1.3 μF and 6.08 μF, respectively. However, when thermally exfoliated graphene was used as an electrode on Al and Au current collector, the capacitance value was drastically increased and found to be 1.6 and 41.25 μF, respectively.  相似文献

The effect of weld groove design and heat treatment on microstructure evolution and Charpy toughness of P91 pipe weldments was studied. The P91 pipe weldments were subjected to subcritical post weld heat treatment (760 °C-2 h) and normalizing/tempering conditions (normalized-1040 °C/40 min, air cooled; tempered 760 °C/2 h, air cooled) were employed. The influence of subsequent PWHT and N&T treatment on the microstructure of various zone of P91 pipe weldments were also investigated. The present investigation also described the effect of PWHT and N&T treatment on hardness, grain size, precipitate size, inter-particle spacing and fraction area of precipitates present in each zone of P91 pipe weldments. The result indicated great impact of heat treatment on the Charpy toughness and microstructure evolution of P91 weldments. The N&T treatment was found to be more effective heat treatment compared to subsequent PWHT. Charpy toughness value was found to be higher for narrow-groove design as compared to conventional V-groove design.  相似文献

Reduction of sulfur by bacterial leaching from a high sulfur‐bearing coal sample from Assam was attempted. Flotation of the sample with light diesel oil could not depress the pyrite and also the Thiobacillus ferrooxidans was found to be ineffective in leaching the sulfur from the flotation concentrate. Conditioning of the same coal sample with Thiobacillus ferrooxidans was found to assist in selectively depressing the pyrite, thereby reducing nearly 60% of the pyritic sulfur present in the sample. © 1999 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Batch type production strategies need adoption of cellular manufacturing (CM) in order to improve operational effectiveness by reducing manufacturing lead time and costs related to inventory and material handling. CM necessitates that parts are to be grouped into part families based on their similarities in manufacturing and design attributes. Then, machines are allocated into machine cells to produce the identified part families so that productivity and flexibility of the system can be improved. Zero-one part-machine incidence matrix (PMIM) generated from route sheet information is commonly presented as input for clustering of parts and machines. An entry of ‘1’ in PMIM indicates that the part is visiting the machine and zero otherwise. The output is generated in the form of block diagonal structure where each block represents a machine cell having more than one machines and a part family. The major limitations of this approach lies in the fact that important production factors like operation time, sequence of operations, and lot size of the parts are not accounted for. In this paper, an attempt has been made to propose a clustering methodology based on adaptive resonance theory (ART) for addressing these issues. Initially, a methodology considering only the operation sequence of the parts has been proposed. Then, the methodology is suitably modified to deal with combination of operation sequence and operation time of the parts to address generalized cell formation (CF) problem. A new performance measure is proposed to quantify the performance of the proposed methodology. The performance of the proposed algorithm is tested with benchmark problems from open literature and the results are compared with the existing methods. The results clearly indicate that the proposed methodology outperforms the existing methods in most cases.  相似文献

Water temperature directly affects the physical, biological and chemical characteristics of the river and determines the fitness and life of all aquatic organisms. It has direct and indirect effects on nearly all aspects of stream ecology. Accurately estimating water temperature is a complex problem. The purpose of this article is to analyze the relationship between the air and water temperature of the River Drava by constructing an artificial neural network (ANN) model and choosing appropriate network architectures for the River Drava’s daily river water temperature as well as demonstrating its application in improving the interpretation of the results. A linear regression model, as well as a stochastic model are also constructed and compared to ANN models consisting of a multilayer perceptron neural network and a radial basis function network. The results indicate that the ANN models are much better models and that ANNs are powerful tools that can be used for the estimation of daily mean river temperature.  相似文献

The status of food and nutrition security and its underlying factors in the Hindu‐Kush Himalayan (HKH) region is investigated. In this region, one third to a half of children (<5 years of age) suffer from stunting, with the incidence of wasting and under‐weight also being very high. The prevalence of stunting, wasting and under‐weight in children is particularly high in some mountain areas such as Meghalaya state in India, the western mountains and far‐western hills of Nepal, Balochistan province in Pakistan, eastern Afghanistan, and Chin state in Myanmar. Food habits in the HKH region are changing. This has led to a deterioration in traditional mountain food systems with a decline in agrobiodiversity. Factors such as high poverty and low dietary energy intakes, a lack of hygienic environments, inadequate nutritional knowledge, and climate change and environmental degradation are also influencing food and nutrition security in the HKH region. To achieve sustainable food and nutrition security in the mountains, this study suggests a multi‐sectoral integrated approach with consideration of nutritional aspects in all development processes dealing with economic, social, agricultural and public health issues. © 2017 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The daily intake of manganese (Mn) estimated through air, water and duplicate dietary analysis is found to range from 0.67 to 4.99 mg with a mean value of 2.21 mg. Ingestion through food contributed to the predominant fraction of the intake. The turnover rate of Mn through blood is approximately 2 h, based on the mean concentration of Mn in blood of 1.54 microg l(-1). The average concentrations of Mn in water and air were approximately 1.42 microg l(-1) and 37 ng m(-3), respectively. The daily intake of Mn by the adult population of Mumbai is closer to the lower bound of the recommended limit of 2-5 mg. Electro Thermal Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (ET-AAS), has been used for the determination of Mn in a variety of environmental and human biological fluids. The detection limit of Mn for a volume injection of 20 microl is 2 pg absolute. The precision of the method is established by analyzing a synthetic mixture containing various elements in different quantities (0.5-10 ppm) and is found to be within +/- 8%. The reliability of estimation is further assessed through the analysis of Standard Reference Materials (SRMs) of soil, hay, milk powder and fish tissue obtained from IAEA.  相似文献
