The Raman spectra of glasses in the ternary (Ge2S3) x (As2S3)1−x and (GeS2) x (As2S3)1−x systems are reported. It is shown that the degree of disorder in the (Ge2S3) x (As2S3)1−x glasses increases with an increase in the Ge content. The differences in the spectra of glasses with the same molar content of As2S3 are discussed in terms of the changes occurring in the local structure due to deviations from the stoichiometry. The observed changes in the intensity of the boson peak indicate changes in the medium-range order structure of the glasses under study.  相似文献

A precise, broadband, Fabry-Perot wavemeter has been designed and built to measure wavelengths in the millimeter and submillimeter range. The design of the wavemeter is novel in that it enhances the fundamental mode over a wide band and permits determination of the exact longitudinal index of the mode. With the use of an exact mode number in wavelength calculations, high measurement accuracies, to the extent permissible by the quality factor of the resonator, can be obtained. The wavemeter was tested by measuring well-known spectral lines of the OCS molecule in the frequency range of 72-607 GHz. Measurement of 24 OCS lines demonstrated an accuracy of better than 2×10-5 in relative units and 0.87×10-5 in rms units for frequency/wavelength. The effect of short- and long-term somatostatin (GIF) administration on haemostatic function in man was investigated. The dosage programme applied in this study was 250 mug GIF as a bolus injection and 250 mug GIF/h by way of infusion. In five healthy volunteers a short-term (3h) treatment resulted in a statistically significant drop of platelet count and impairment of platelet aggregation at the end of infusion. However, these changes were within the physiologically normal range and disappeared after two hours on all subjects. Other parameters such as bleeding time, thromboplastin and partial thromboplastin time, fibrinogen, fibrin/fibrinogen split products, plasma factor XIII, ethanol gelation test were not affected. In two patients with gastric haemorrhage and persistent amylasaemia a 67 or 120-h treatment induced no remarkable haemostatic defect. By contrast, peptic ulcer bleeding in one patient stopped 60 min after starting the GIF infusion. These studies indicated that somatostatin administration in man at the dosage programme used neither results in clinical evidence indicating bleeding tendency nor does it influence laboratory parameters in an apparent way.  相似文献

Tamoxifen (Tam), the antiestrogen used to treat estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer is a pro-drug that is converted to its major active metabolites, endoxifen and 4-hydroxy-tamoxifen (4-OH-Tam) by various biotransformation enzymes of which cytochrome P450-2D6 (CYP2D6) is key. The usual Tam dose is 20 mg daily; however, the plasma active metabolite concentrations vary due to common genetic variants encoding the biotransformation enzymes and environmental factors (e.g., concomitant drugs) that inhibit these enzymes. Effective treatment depends on adequate Tam conversion to its active isomers. To monitor metabolite plasma levels, a novel liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method was developed to separate and quantitate Tam, N-desmethyl-tamoxifen (ND-Tam), and tamoxifen-N-oxide (Tam-N-oxide), and the E, Z, and Z' isomers of endoxifen and 4-OH-Tam. Known standards were used to identify each metabolite/isomer. Quantitation of these metabolites in plasma was linear from 0.6 to 2000 nM. Intra- and inter-assay reproducibilities were 0.2-8.4% and 0.6-6.3%, respectively. Accuracy determined by spike experiments with known standards was 86-103%. Endoxifen, 4-OH-Tam, and their isomers were stable in fresh frozen plasma for ≥6 months. This method provides the first sensitive, specific, accurate, and reproducible quantitation of Tam and its metabolite isomers for monitoring Tam-treated breast cancer patients.  相似文献

A variety of different photo resists are used for the fabrication of polymer and metal high aspect ratio structures. Among them SU-8, a chemically amplified negative tone photoresist is the mostly used. However, after processing the finished resist pattern (SU-8) is hardly removed from the substrate. In the present work the formulation and process optimization of a negative tone chemically amplified photoresist (TADEP) is presented. TADEP resist owns two advantages: the dissolution of the uncrosslinked areas in IC standard aqueous developers and the easy stripping in acetone by the assistance of ultrasonic bath. The TADEP resist is successfully applied for the fabrication of polymer and metal structures, after electroplating and stripping and also in the case of Proton Beam Writing.  相似文献

The interrelationships of increased plasma renin and elevated blood pressure following acute beta-stimulation by orcipernaline and its prevention by somatostatin was studied in normal man. During somatostatin infusion basal values of renin and blood pressure were unchanged. Following orciprenaline both variables increased significantly. Combination of somatostatin and orciprenaline reduced the rise in plasma renin activity by 49%, mean arterial blood pressure by 21% and heart rate by 19%, compared with beta-stimulation alone. The results indicate that the inhibitory action of somatostatin on plasma renin activity may be mediated via beta-receptors. The lesser increase of blood pressure under somatostatin plus orciprenaline also indicates a possible inhibitory effect of somatostatin on beta-adrenergic receptors.  相似文献

Formation of new blood vessels occurs in many physiological states (during development of the embryo, cycling changes of the female reproductive tract), as well as in pathological processes (such as diabetic retinopathy and wound healing). Angiogenesis has been shown to be related to tumor formation, prognosis, and response to treatment in many tumor types. Intratumoral microvessels can be related to tumor behavior or hormone secretion in different endocrine tumors. For example, invasive prolactinomas are more vascular than noninvasive adenomas; a surgical approach is more successful in macroprolactinomas with lower microvessel density. A higher number of microvessels have been found in papillary thyroid carcinomas during recurrences. A correlation between microvessel count and prognosis in papillary and medullary thyroid carcinomas has been suggested. Several stimulating and inhibiting factors involved in the regulation of angiogenesis have been identified. Among them, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has been shown to be critically involved in angiogenesis and also in the neovascularization of solid tumors. Dopamine agonists (already in clinical use for prolactinomas) have potent inhibitory actions on VEGF signaling, and thus may be a new tool in antiangiogenic therapy. Secretion of VEGF in the great majority of human pituitary adenomas is inhibited by dexamethasone. This suggests that glucocorticoids can be considered in the treatment of certain pituitary tumors. The cyclic nature of angiogenesis in the female reproductive tract indicates that stimulation or inhibition of paracrine angiogenic factors may lead to new approaches for being able to influence reproductive endocrine disorders. Experimental and clinical aspects of interactions between angiogenic factors and tumor growth of the endocrine system are also discussed.  相似文献

Our purpose was to determine the feasibility of a regimen of multiple, rapidly cycled courses of high-dose alkylating agents, including paired courses of escalating doses of thiotepa, supported by peripheral blood progenitor cells and filgrastim, in patients with responding stage IV breast cancer. The regimen consisted of two courses of cyclophosphamide (3.0 g/m2/course) followed by two courses of thiotepa (500-700 mg/m2/course). All courses were supported by filgrastim. Leukaphereses were performed after each cyclophosphamide course to harvest peripheral blood progenitors (PBPs) for use as rescue following thiotepa administration. The planned interval for all courses was 14 days. Forty-two patients were enrolled. Thirty-eight received all four courses, and four did not receive the second thiotepa cycle due to poor PBP mobilization. The maximum dose of thiotepa that was administered was 700 mg/m2 x 2. At this dose, one patient developed encephalopathy, which resolved over several weeks. The median number of days to an absolute neutrophil count of 0.5 x 10(9)/liter after PBP reinfusion for cycles 1 and 2 of thiotepa were 9 (range, 7-16) and 9 (range, 8-13) days, respectively. The corresponding values for platelet recovery to >20 x 10(9)/liter were 11 (range, 8-39) and 12 (range, 10-28) days, respectively. There were no treatment-related deaths. Hospitalization was required following 28 of 84 cyclophosphamide courses and 76 of 80 thiotepa courses. Four patients developed grade III-IV mucositis. The median interval between courses of treatment was 15 (range, 13-29) days. Of 19 patients who entered the protocol with measurable disease in partial response from prior therapy, 8 (42%) achieved complete response following the high-dose therapy. Nine (21%) of 42 remain progression free at a median follow-up of 28 (range, 20-32) months. Therefore, we concluded that the administration of multiple, rapidly cycled courses of high-dose alkylating agents is feasible.  相似文献
