Instant study was an attempt to elucidate the suitability of wheat bran for extrusion cooking and to check the effect of different extrusion parameters on the dietary fibre profile as well as on water solubility index. Response surface methodology was used to optimise the extrusion parameters. From results, it was concluded that extrusion cooking had a positive effect on total and soluble dietary fibre. Whilst the insoluble dietary fibre decreased appreciably with the varying processing parameters, the decrease in insoluble fibre and increase in soluble fibre were probably due to disruption of covalent and noncovalent bonds in the carbohydrate and protein moieties leading to smaller and more soluble molecular fragments. Additionally, water solubility index was greatly enhanced by varying extrusion temperature and screw speed. Conclusively, the findings suggest the usefulness of extrusion cooking to beneficially modify the wheat bran for value addition.  相似文献

The effect of washing, peeling and cooking on residue levels of chlorpyrifos and 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol (TCP) in winter (spinach, cauliflower, potato) and summer vegetables (eggplant, tomato, okra) was determined. Analysis was carried out by capillary gas chromatography (DB-5MS capillary column) with mass selective detection. The samples were collected from trials conducted under controlled conditions as well as from the farmer’s field. In supervised field trials, the highest chlorpyrifos residue was found at raw stage in spinach (1.87 mg kg−1) followed by okra (1.41 mg kg−1) and eggplant (1.25 mg kg−1). The lowest residue of chlorpyrifos was recorded in cauliflower (0.036 mg kg−1). The chlorpyrifos residue reduced from 15 to 33% after washing, 65–85% post-peeling and cooking further lowered it from 12% to 48% in all the tested vegetables; while an increase in TCP concentration was observed during heat treatment. Out of 267 vegetable samples collected from the farmer’s field, 225 samples contained detectable residues representing 84% rate of contamination. About 6% of samples contained chlorpyrifos residues above maximum residue limits (MRLs). However, vegetable processing reduced the chlorpyrifos residue below the MRL.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to compare the concentration of pollutants and their level of dispersion in the atmosphere from the plume of brick kilns using different types of fuels. For this purpose, two brick kilns were selected based on their fuel type. One type of fuel was good quality coal (F1) and the other was low-quality coal mixed with wood (F2). The air emissions data illustrated that carbon monoxide concentration was more (108 ± 0.90 ppm) in the plume of F1 than in the plume of F2 (82 ± 0.98 ppm) and sulfur dioxide was more (1955 ± 3.76 ppm) in the plume of F2 than in the plume of F1 (6 ± 0.07 ppm). The Gaussian plume model showed that plume from good quality coal as fuel (F1) disperses 0.7 ± 0.01 km horizontally and 4 ± 0.03 km vertically whereas the plume from low-quality coal mixed with wood (F2) disperse 1 ± 0.01 km horizontally and 2 ± 0.02 km vertically. Pearson correlation also showed a significant (p < 0.05) difference between both fuel types. These high concentrations can have negative impacts on the atmospheric environment as well as community health.  相似文献

The functional and nutraceutical importance of various foods is often attributed to the bioactive molecules present in them. A number of components have been studied but dietary fiber and its different constituents are of prime consideration. Among these, arabinoxylan (AX) and arabinogalactan (AG) are of significant importance in that they hold potential in improving the quality of the baked products along with providing health benefits against various ailments. However, the improvements are dependent on their molecular weights, cross linkages, and solubility. Water-Extractable Arabinoxylan (WEAX) is more effective as compared to Water-Unextractable Arabinoxylan (WUEAX). In this review article, efforts were directed to describe the structural and molecular conformations of these functional ingredients. The discussion has been made regarding the functional properties of AX and AG, for example, improvements in water absorption capacities, dough stability time, and viscosity. They also improve the baking absorption of flour that is positively correlated with bread volume, the most important criterion for stakeholders. The arguments are also provided on the detrimental effects on gluten quality with some possible solutions. Their role in improving the quality and extending the shelf life of bread by reducing the process of staling and retrogradation is the main idea presented in the article. The nutraceutical perspectives were also highlighted as they are helpful in regulating blood cholesterol which thereby protect the body from cardiovascular disorders like atherosclerosis. Additionally, they act as prebiotics for microorganisms residing in the gastrointestinal tract.  相似文献

In this paper, an UWB micro-strip antenna design has been proposed which is suitable for future cognitive radio applications. The geometry of proposed antenna is composed of two semi-circles with their interior modified in order to achieve higher impedance bandwidth. The semi-etched ground provides further bandwidth enhancement. The proposed antenna is fabricated on an inexpensive dielectric substrate FR-4 with relative permittivity of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6 mm. The overall dimensions of UWB antenna are 60?×?60?×?1.6 mm and have a bandwidth of 5.7 GHz. The designed antenna covers the most commonly used wireless communication bands such as DCS-1800, ISM bands, GPS, Wi-MAX, WLAN, 3G, 4G, etc. The design process and the variations in antenna’s performance due to different parameters has been discussed. The design and simulation of the antenna are carried out in the Ansys Electronic Desktop HFSS. The measured results are in good agreement with simulated results and design theory which shows that the proposed antenna is good candidate for the UWB applications.

乘累加单元是任何数字信号处理器(DSP)数据通路中的一个关键部分.多年来,硬件工程师们一直倾注于其优化与改进.本文描述了一种速度优化的乘累加单元的设计与实现.本文的乘累加单元是为一种高速VLIW结构的DSP核设计,能够进行16×16 40的无符号和带符号的二进制补码操作.在关键路径延迟上,本文的乘累加单元比其他任何使用相同或不同算数技术实现的乘累加单元都更优.本文的乘累加单元已成功使用于synopsys的工具,并与synopsys的Design Ware库中相同位宽的乘累加单元比较.比较结果表明,本文的乘累加单元比Design Ware库中的任何其他实现都要快,适合于在需要高吞吐率的DSP核中使用.注意:比较是在Design compiler中使用相同属性和开关下进行的.  相似文献

针对电网分区域调度问题,提出基于不同目标的多节点连接的网络模型进行求解。网络模型以复杂网络为理论基础,由发电端、中间点、用电端、连接边等组成,对网络模型进行数学及图形描述,并建立相应的数学模型。通过遗传算法来求解基于模型建立的两区域算例,两区域分别以碳排放最小的单目标为第一子目标,购电成本最小及煤耗最小的双目标为第二子目标,采用加权的方法使两子目标相结合转化为单目标求解,通过编程优化计算得出满足调度目标的电量分配结果。由算例可验证,所提出的模型可用于主网实现分别以不同的调度策略为优化目标的分区域调度。  相似文献

This study deals with the preparation of activated carbon (CDSP) from date seed powder (DSP) by chemical activation to eliminate polyaromatic hydrocarbon—PAHs (naphthalene—C10H8) from synthetic wastewater. The chemical activation process was carried out using a weak Lewis acid of zinc acetate dihydrate salt (Zn(CH3CO2)2·2H2O). The equilibrium isotherm and kinetics analysis was carried out using DSP and CDSP samples, and their performances were compared for the removal of a volatile organic compound—naphthalene (C10H8)—from synthetic aqueous effluents or wastewater. The equilibrium isotherm data was analyzed using the linear regression model of the Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin equations. The R2 values for the Langmuir isotherm were 0.93 and 0.99 for naphthalene (C10H8) adsorption using DSP and CDSP, respectively. CDSP showed a higher equilibrium sorption capacity (qe) of 379.64 µg/g. DSP had an equilibrium sorption capacity of 369.06 µg/g for C10H8. The rate of reaction was estimated for C10H8 adsorption using a pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order and Elovich kinetic equation. The reaction mechanism for both the sorbents (CDSP and DSP) was studied using the intraparticle diffusion model. The equilibrium data was well-fitted with the pseudo-second order kinetics model showing the chemisorption nature of the equilibrium system. CDSP showed a higher sorption performance than DSP due to its higher BET surface area and carbon content. Physiochemical characterizations of the DSP and CDSP samples were carried out using the BET surface area analysis, Fourier-scanning microscopic analysis (FSEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis and Fourier-transform spectroscopic analysis (FTIR). A thermogravimetric and ultimate analysis was also carried out to determine the carbon content in both the sorbents (DSP and CDSP) here. This study confirms the potential of DSP and CDSP to remove C10H8 from lab-scale synthetic wastewater.  相似文献

A method for the preparation of NiO and Nb–NiO nanocomposites is developed, based on the slow oxidation of a nickel-rich Nb–Ni gel obtained in citric acid. The resulting materials have higher surface areas than those obtained by the classical evaporation method from nickel nitrate and ammonium niobium oxalate. These consist in NiO nanocrystallites (7–13 nm) associated, at Nb contents >3 at.%., with an amorphous thin layer (1–2 nm) of a niobium-rich mixed oxide with a structure similar to that of NiNb2O6. Unlike bulk nickel oxides, the activity of these nanooxides for low-temperature ethane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) has been related to their redox properties. In addition to limiting the size of NiO crystallites, the presence of the Nb-rich phase also inhibits NiO reducibility. At Nb content >5 at.%, Nb–NiO composites are thus less active for ethane ODH but more selective, indicating that the Nb-rich phase probably covers part of the unselective, non-stoichiometric, active oxygen species of NiO. This geometric effect is supported by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy observations. The close interaction between NiO and the thin Nb-rich mixed oxide layer, combined with possible restructuration of the nanocomposite under ODH conditions, leads to significant catalyst deactivation at high Nb loadings. Hence, the most efficient ODH catalysts obtained by this method are those containing 3–4 at.% Nb, which combine high activity, selectivity, and stability. The impact of the preparation method on the structural and catalytic properties of Nb–NiO nanocomposites suggests that further improvement in NiO-catalyzed ethane ODH can be expected upon optimization of the catalyst.  相似文献
