Use of natural additives is gaining popularity among the masses as they are becoming more conscious about their diet and health. Frozen dough products are one of the recent examples of value-added cereal products which face stability problems during extended storage periods of times. Dairy whey proteins, surfactants, and certain enzymes are considered important natural additives which could be used to control the water redistribution problem in the dough structure during the storage condition. They interact with the starch and gluten network in a dough system and thus behave as dough improvers and strengtheners. These natural additives not only help to bind extra moisture but also to improve texture and sensory attributes in frozen dough bakery products.  相似文献

miRNAs are 20–22 long nucleotide non-coding ribonucleic acid molecules critical to the modulation of molecular pathways. Immune evasion and the establishment of a suitable tumor microenvironment are two major contributors that support tumor invasion and metastasis. Tumorigenic miRNAs support these two hallmarks by desensitizing important tumor-sensitive regulatory cells such as dendritic cells, M1 macrophages, and T helper cells towards tumors while supporting infiltration and proliferation of immune cells like Treg cells, tumor-associated M2 macrophages that promote self-tolerance and chronic inflammation. miRNAs have a significant role in enhancing the efficacies of immunotherapy treatments like checkpoint blockade therapy, adoptive T cell therapy, and oncolytic virotherapy in cancer. A clear understanding of the role of miRNA can help scientists to formulate better-targeted treatment modalities. miRNA therapeutics have emerged as diverse class of nucleic acid-based molecules that can suppress oncogenic miRNAs and promote the expression of tumor suppressor miRNAs.  相似文献

A TCP flow is expected to traverse over a single path. This is in order to avoid performance problems especially on account of reordering of packets and acknowledgements. Reordering can occur on account of the use of different paths with diverse bandwidth and delay characteristics. We argue that the present approach prevents us from getting the advantages associated with multiple paths. Specifically, use of multiple paths for a flow can be advantageous in improving the performance as well as the dependability of a flow. We model the effects of reordering and derive conditions under which the performance of a TCP flow improves with the use of multiple paths. We also provide recommendations for choosing amongst multiple paths. We then verify the conditions using simulations. We also illustrate the applicability of the derived conditions to multiple flows.  相似文献

We report a case of spontaneous hemobilia in a hemophilia patient presenting with classical Sandblom's triad of symptoms. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiography was helpful in establishing the diagnosis. Hemobilia subsided with factor VIII replacement and endoscopic nasobiliary drainage. Endoscopic nasobiliary drainage resulted in lysis of the clots in the biliary tree and relief of obstructive jaundice.  相似文献

This study investigated the effect of ethanolic sesame cake extract on oxidative stabilization of olein based butter. Fractionation of cream was performed by the dry fractionation technique at 10 °C, ethanolic sesame cake extract (SCE) was incorporated into olein butter at three different concentrations; 50, 100, 150 ppm (T1, T2, T3) and compared with a control. The total phenolic content of SCE was 1.72 (mg gallic acid equivalent g?1 dry weight). The HPLC characterization of ethanolic sesame cake revealed the presence of antioxidant substances viz. sesamol, sesamin and sesamolin in higher extents. The DPPH free radical scavenging activity of SCE was 83 % as compared to 64 and 75 % in BHA and BHT. Fractionation of milk fat at 10 °C significantly (p < 0.05) influenced the fatty acid profile of olein and stearin fractions from the parent milk fat. Concentration of oleic acid and linoleic acid in olein fraction was 29.62 and 33.46 % greater than the parent milk fat. The loss of C18:1 in 90 days stored control and T3 was 24.37 and 3.58 %, respectively, 58 % C18:2 was broken down into oxidation products over 8.55 % loss in T3. The peroxide value of control, T1, T2, BHT and T3 in the Schaal oven test was 8.59, 8.12, 5.34, 4.52 and 2.49 (mequiv O2/kg). The peroxide value and anisidine value of 3 months stored control and T3 were 1.21, 0.42 (mequiv O2/kg) and 27.25, 13.25, respectively. The concentration of conjugated dienes in T3 was substantially less than the control. The induction period of T3 was considerably higher than BHT with no difference in sensory characteristics (p > 0.05). Ethanolic SCE can be used for the long‐term preservation of olein butter, with acceptable sensory characteristics.  相似文献

A series of Ti0.9Fe0.1-xNixO2 (x?=?0.0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.1) has been synthesized through the solid state reaction method at annealing temperature of 1100?°C for two hours. The synthesized samples have been analyzed by X-Ray diffractometer (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and ultraviolet visible (UV–VIS) spectroscopy for structural investigations, defects measurements, surface morphology, magnetic and optical properties respectively. Structural analysis has revealed the dominant structure of rutile. An intensity loss and peak broadening of TiO2 (rutile) vibration lines have been observed from Raman analysis, which is an indication of presence of oxygen vacancies. Magnetic analysis has revealed ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature. Optical characterization has shown the blue shift in band gap energy with increase of Ni concentration.  相似文献

Tragacanth gum is a novel polysaccharide which offers interesting features in terms of high hydrophilicity, good biocompatibility, and biodegradability. The engineering of hydrogels requires careful designing of their macromolecular structures so that desirable features may be incorporated into the material. Graft polymerization has come up as an interesting approach to develop molecules for drug delivery, wound care systems, and infection‐resistant materials. The most important aspect of graft functionalization is the proper control over physico‐chemical properties of the grafted matrix. The extent of functionalization may be governed by the grafting parameters and may lead to the chemical designing of the molecule in a controlled manner. The development of multimedia content has resulted in a massive increase in network traffic for video streaming. It demands such types of solutions that can be addressed to obtain the user's Quality-of-Experience (QoE). 360-degree videos have already taken up the user's behavior by storm. However, the users only focus on the part of 360-degree videos, known as a viewport. Despite the immense hype, 360-degree videos convey a loathsome side effect about viewport prediction, making viewers feel uncomfortable because user viewport needs to be pre-fetched in advance. Ideally, we can minimize the bandwidth consumption if we know what the user motion in advance. Looking into the problem definition, we propose an Encoder-Decoder based Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) model to more accurately capture the non-linear relationship between past and future viewport positions. This model takes the transforming data instead of taking the direct input to predict the future user movement. Then, this prediction model is combined with a rate adaptation approach that assigns the bitrates to various tiles for 360-degree video frames under a given network capacity. Hence, our proposed work aims to facilitate improved system performance when QoE parameters are jointly optimized. Some experiments were carried out and compared with existing work to prove the performance of the proposed model. Last but not least, the experiments implementation of our proposed work provides high user's QoE than its competitors.  相似文献
