Sapota (Achras zapota) is a tropical fruit found in several parts of India. It is one of the most popular fruits besides mango, custard apple, and several others. Once ripe, it needs to be consumed within a couple of days due to the highly perishable nature of this exquisite fruit variety. The best way to increase the shelf-life is through the process of dehydration of peeled sapota. In the present study, the convective air drying of sapota pulp was carried out and compared with low-temperature drying techniques such as heat pump-assisted drying and freeze drying. The sapota paste was dried in a convective dryer to study the effect of operating parameters such as air temperature and air velocity. In addition, the effect of additives such as oat and wheat fibers and the paste thickness on drying was also studied. The critical analysis of dehydrated sapota was carried out in terms of water activity, sugar content, color, and rehydration ratio. The drying data were analyzed using Page's model and Newton's model on the basis of root mean square error (RMSE), reduced χ square (χ2) and correlation coefficient (R2). 相似文献

Three-dimensional, voxel-based, and wavelength-dependent skin lesion models are developed and simulated using Monte Carlo techniques. The optical geometry of the Nevoscope with trans-illumination is used in the simulations for characterizing the lesion thickness. Based on the correlation analysis between the lesion thickness and the diffuse reflectance, optical wavelengths are selected for multispectral imaging of skin lesions using the Nevoscope. Tissue optical properties reported by various researchers are compiled together to form a voxel library. Tissue models used in the simulations are developed using the voxel library which offers flexibility in updating the optical properties and adding new media types into the models independent of the Monte Carlo simulation code. 相似文献

The Marangoni flow is involved with microgravity and earth gravity, which causes undesirable effects in crystal growth experiments. Crystal growth experiments were designed in such a manner so as to appraise MIR (space station), which is one of the best platforms for protein crystallization and radiation experiments. In this article, a model is proposed with a stagnation point and a Casson fluid flow at the interface of the plate in the presence of Marangoni convection influenced by a magnetic field and chemical reaction. Furthermore, it is considered that both temperature and concentration surface tension vary linearly with the interface. It is important to choose similarity transformations for implementing nonlinear differential equations into linear ordinary differential equations. We solved the system of differential equations using fourth order Range‐Kutta method with suitable shooting techniques, and the results are displayed through graphs. A comparison is made with the earlier existing literature, and it shows a very good agreement. The results and a detailed discussion of velocity, temperature, and concentration have been shown graphically. The favorable and unfavorable buoyancy force to Marangoni flow, the features of temperature and concentration field, have been investigated. 相似文献

In this paper, the solitary wave solutions of (3+1)-dimensional extended Zakharov–Kuznetsov (eZK) equation are constructed which appear in the magnetized two-ion-temperature dusty plasma and quantum physics. Lie group of transformation method is proposed to investigate the solution of (3+1)-dimensional eZK equation via Lie symmetry method. The optimal system of one dimensional Lie subalgebra is constructed by using Lie point symmetries. The three dimensional eZK equation reduced into number of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by applying similarity reductions. Consequently, solutions so extracted are more general than erstwhile known results. We have obtained twenty one solutions in the explicit form, some of them are likewise general and some are new for the best study of us. Eventually, single soliton, quasi-periodic soliton, multisoliton, lump-type soliton, traveling wave and solitary wave-interaction behavior are illustrated graphically through numerical simulation for physical affirmation of the results. Understanding the collaborative behaviors of the excitons and phonons that result from light–matter interactions is important for interpreting and optimizing the underlying fundamental physics at work in devices made from atomically thin materials. In this study, the generation of exciton‐coupled phonon vibration from molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets in a pre‐excitonic resonance condition is reported. A strong rise‐to‐decay profile for the transient second‐harmonic generation (TSHG) of the probe pulse is achieved by applying substantial (20%) beam polarization normal to the nanosheet plane, and tuning the wavelength of the pump beam to the absorption of the A‐exciton. The time‐dependent TSHG signals clearly exhibit acoustic phonon generation at vibration modes below 10 cm?1 (close to the Γ point) after the photoinduced energy is transferred from exciton to phonon in a nonradiative fashion. Interestingly, by observing the TSHG signal oscillation period from MoS2 samples of varying thicknesses, the speed of the supersonic waves generated in the out‐of‐plane direction (Mach 8.6) is generated. Additionally, TSHG microscopy reveals critical information about the phase and amplitude of the acoustic phonons from different edge chiralities (armchair and zigzag) of the MoS2 monolayers. This suggests that the technique could be used more broadly to study ultrafast physics and chemistry in low‐dimensional materials and their hybrids with ultrahigh fidelity. 相似文献

Development of self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDS) of glimepiride is reported with the aim to achieve its oral delivery. Lauroglycol FCC, Tween-80, and ethanol were used as oil, surfactant, and co-surfactant, respectively as independent variables. The optimized composition of SNEDDS formulation (F1) was 10% v/v Lauroglycol FCC, 45% v/v Tween 80, 45% v/v ethanol, and 0.005% w/v glimepiride. Further, the optimized liquid SNEDDS were solidified through spray drying using various hydrophilic and hydrophobic carriers. Among the various carriers, Aerosil 200 was found to provide desirable flow, compression, dissolution, and diffusion. Both, liquid and solid-SNEDDS have shown release of more than 90% within 10?min. Results of permeation studies performed on Caco-2 cell showed that optimized SNEDDS exhibited 1.54 times higher drug permeation amount and 0.57 times lower drug excretion amount than that of market tablets at 4?hours (p?.01). Further, the cytotoxicity study performed on Caco-2 cell revealed that the cell viability was lower in SNEDDS (92.22%?±?4.18%) compared with the market tablets (95.54%?±?3.22%; p?>?.05, i.e. 0.74). The formulation was found stable with temperature variation and freeze thaw cycles in terms of droplet size, zeta potential, drug precipitation and phase separation. Crystalline glimepiride was observed in amorphous state in solid SNEDDS when characterized through DSC, PXRD, and FT-IR studies. Load-carrying capacity of weld joints could be identified by its shape and size where weld bead geometry and shape relationship parameters are of utmost importance. Heat input and preheating temperature together can control the cooling time of weld, which in turn determines the weld microstructure and its mechanical properties. To control the shape and geometry of weld bead, it is necessary to understand its relationship with cooling time. In present work, preheating temperature is used as process variable along with heat input varying parameters for understanding their effects on weld bead geometry and shape relationship parameters using submerged arc welding process on high-strength low alloy pipeline steel. The experimental investigation was then analyzed by using the mathematical modeling in context with response surface methodology. The mathematical model predicts the influential dependency of cooling time on the preheating temperature than the other weld process parameters. The associated effects in relation to the process parameters have been discussed and analyzed in the present study. 相似文献
